Training and Learning

The group were waiting at a sleigh, standing around waiting for Chopper to get there. Thirteen was looking at the Lapahn, who was jumping around and making hand gestures. Vivi looked at the Lapahn and said "What's he saying?"

Sanji looked at the Lapahn and said "Looks like he's saying… 'Where we going, boss?'" he pointed at himself and said "Boss?" Zoro glanced at him and said "I think he was talking about the cat next to you." Sanji gave him a dirty look and Nami crossed her arms, muttering "I can't believe you're going to bring that with you…"

Thirteen blinked at the Lapahn, who nodded and started punching the air. The group just looked at Thirteen and tilted their heads in confusion. He looked at them and blinked, there was a brief silence before Vivi said "Anyway~ He needs a name."

Luffy hummed and pointed at the Lapahn, saying "White!" Usopp gawked at him and said "White? Just because he's white…" Nami slapped her forehead, Vivi's mouth twitched, Zoro closed his eyes, Sanji sighed, and Thirteen nodded.

He pointed at White and said "White." White saluted and jumped around happily. Nami grabbed Thirteen's ear and shouted "THAT'S A TERRIBLE NAME!" Thirteen looked at White who was jumping around happily before looking back at Nami, who threw her hands in the air and sat in the sleigh, pouting her lips.

Thirteen poked White, who stopped jumping and started punching again. The group was watching White when Chopper galloped over on all fours, shouting "WE NEED TO LEAVE, NOW! HURRY!"

The group jumped into the sleigh, White jumped on Thirteen's shoulder as Chopper was grabbed by Thirteen and thrown into the sleigh.

Thirteen stood behind the sleigh and grabbed the back of it, Doctrine ran out and shouted "YOU LITTLE BASTARDS! GIVE ME BACK MY REINDEER!" Thirteen looked at her, Nami turned around and shouted "Thirteen! Don-" He punched the back of the sleigh and it shot through the air, flying in the sky.

He latched his chain to the back and pulled, flipping through the air and landing in the sleigh. Luffy grabbed the sleigh and laughed while the rest held on for dear life.

Doctrine watched the sleigh fly through the air, standing at the edge of the cliff before saying "Get the cannons ready." Dalton nodded and waved his hand as the villagers brought the cannons out, pointing them at the sky.

The sleigh started breaking apart in the air, and pieces started falling off.

Nami, Vivi, Usopp, and Chopper grabbed onto Thirteen as Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy looked at the ground approaching.

The sleigh landed on the ground and slid along the snow, breaking apart until it arrived right in front of the Merry and a cannon sound went off.

The group got into the Merry and turned around to see cannonballs shooting into the sky. The Merry started sailing away as the cannonballs went off in the air, exploding into pink mists.

Chopper stopped and looked at the sky, tears started pooling in his eyes as he saw the clouds of pink above the Drum mountains making the island seem like cherry blossom trees.

Thirteen looked at the 'Trees' and stayed silent, even his other self didn't say anything.

The rest of the crew smiled as they watched the trees and sailed away from Drum towards Alabasta.

A while later

Thirteen was looking at Chopper and White as he trained with Zoro and Sanji. Chopper and White were punching the air and doing push ups, sit-ups, and squats. The little duo was working much longer than the other two, obviously Thirteen was working out all day without any breaks.

Thirteen swung his chains lightly at Chopper and White, making them dodge as they worked out. He was also training to hit smaller targets that moved around a lot, obviously he wasn't swinging hard but he was still trying to hit them.

Days continued passing like this.

Every day Thirteen trained for 20 hours, Zoro and Sanji for 8, and Chopper and White for 12. Eventually Sanji and Zoro wanted dodging practice too and Thirteen worked with them too.

The effects weren't immediate as training was a lengthy process but each day they got just a little bit better. While Chopper wasn't training, he worked on his science/medical skills.

One day~

Chopper walked over to Thirteen and asked "You have a devil fruit?" Thirteen nodded as he did sit-ups suspended in the air from the mast. Chopper asked again, "Can I see?" Thirteen stretched out his arm and hardened it.

Chopper looked at the arm and knocked on it with his hoof, it made a dull bang sound and he hummed, asking "Can you harden any part of your body?" Thirteen hardened his entire body and Chopper hummed again, asking "What about the inside?"

Thirteen tilted his head and Chopper explained "Like your bones, muscles, blood…" before looking at Thirteen's confused face and stopping. He looked happy as he said "I have an idea! How about I teach you about the Human body! Then we can test if you can harden inside your body!"

He looked unnaturally excited.

Thirteen blinked and couldn't understand why he would want to harden the inside of his body but, nevertheless, he nodded. Chopper jumped up in excitement and ran away, coming back with a book.

He sat down and started reading, showing Thirteen diagrams of the Human body, modifying it to show tails and ears as well.

That's how Thirteen started learning about the human body.

Chopper also found out that Thirteen's Devil Fruit wasn't hardening, but Density. That changed his entire perspective and he continued teaching as Thirteen trained him. Eventually, even Usopp came over and started working near the rest of them with only Nami, Vivi, and Luffy not training.

The girls were sunbathing, while Luffy sat in his spot, humming to himself, happy that everyone else was happy and getting stronger. If one looked closely, they would see that Luffy's legs were stretched around the Merry, he was doing his own kind of training.

Everyone was doing something and looked happy enough as the Merry continued on it's way, riding the waves more intensely than normal, maybe she was training too?
