12 The Waitress

Before Xu Wan could react to the situation, Qiao Chen sneered. "You found your next target pretty quickly. Xu Wan, I have underestimated you."

What did Qiao Chen mean?

Xu Wan's face turned pale. She opened her mouth and wanted to explain that she had nothing to do with Han Bing.

"Brother Chen, I've always felt that she's not a good person since a long time ago. When she was still your fiancée, she had already hooked up with another man. Xu Wan gritted her teeth as she walked to the bathroom.

Xu Wan put on some light makeup in the bathroom before she left through the back door of the hospital.

Xu Wan changed into the waitress's uniform and put on the staff's cap. Then, she took the menu and went to the dining table to serve the customers.

This western restaurant was in a bustling area and its business was very good. Xu Wan could earn quite a lot from tips by working here part time.

After the dining peak hour, Xu Wan finally had time to rest. She leaned against the bar counter and listened to the music played by the violinist in the restaurant. She closed her eyes in exhaustion.

"Wow, that man is so handsome! Oh my god, he's even more handsome than my idol!"

"Stop being so infatuated, can't you see that he already has a girlfriend?"

The lady at the front counter and the other waiters started whispering to one another. Xu Wan was neither interested in their conversations nor did she want to look at handsome guys. She continued leaning against the bar counter.

It was almost time for her part-time shift to end. The customers that came then were all serviced by staff members of the next shift.

Xu Wan propped herself up against the bar counter and felt her legs aching badly. She took her hat off and prepared to leave.

"Oh my god, isn't that Xu Wan? Why is she here? She really spoils the mood! Brother Chen, let's go somewhere else!"
