65 Chapter 65 - A thoughtful gift

Yunfeng ran recklessly down the stairs. Muchen glanced back with a small smile. "Yunfeng…" The movie star was currently sitting on their small sofa, back straight, dressed completely in a suit and a matching tie. "Did you just wake up?"

Yunfeng took a deep breath. 'Shit…' He ran upstairs only to meet head to head with Jai. "Why are you running down?"

"To watch a drama," the boy said, looking at him with interest. 'Why are you running up?'

Yunfeng pushed him out of the way and ran back to his room. He stood in front of the mirror, gaping. "Oh my god!" He had run out without washing his face, and even his drool marks were visible!

He cupped his face in embarrassment. "He saw me like this?"

Jai stood by the door. "He is soon going to wake up to that face. What is there to hide?"

"But still! I can't just meet him looking like this." He ran to the bathroom and quickly washed his face. "Do I look presentable?"

Jai looked him up and down. "Hmm, perfect."

Smirking, Yunfeng ran to the hall. Muchen looked up at him with a bright smile.

"Sorry, I just wanted to wash my face," he slowly walked up to him, and... he just stood. He was mentally panicking about what to do.

Their sofa was quite small because everyone in his family was quite small. Plus, their house was small and could only accommodate the small sofa. When Muchen was sitting in it, it filled out almost three-quarters of it, leaving only a small space. If he sat down, they would be sitting very close, shoulders touching.

'Should I…' He looked at Muchen. "H-how are you?"

"Why are you standing?" Muchen pulled him close and made him sit in that spot. "How is your health? Do you feel dizzy?"

Blushing, Yunfeng shook his head. His hands were still being held by a warm pair of palms. Subtly, he removed his hand and gripped Muchen's palms, intertwining their fingers.

"Ahem…" His mom walked close. "What brings you here early this morning?"

Muchen cleared his throat and hid their intertwined hands behind his back. "Oh, mother, I just wanted to... to…" He gazed at Yunfeng. "Date."

Yunfeng could not hold back his smile. "A date? Now?"

Muchen blushing nodded. "I thought maybe we could go on a walk by the beach…"

"That sounds good." Yunfeng tightened his hand, giving his palm a light squeeze.

"Whoa, wait a minute. I never agreed to this." His mom suddenly interjected.

Yunfeng blinked at her pitifully. "Really?"

She seemed to falter at his cuteness attack. "I... it's all going too quickly! I just met him yesterday! You can't go out with a man you barely know."

"But I knew him for a while…" Yunfeng whispered ever so softly. "And I wish to get to know him more, so... so that I can decide to accept his proposal or not," his voice regained a bit of confidence. "Can I, mother?"

His mom let out a soft sigh. "You... be back by four in the evening." She then glared at Muchen. "No holding hands!"

They both let go of their hands instantly.

"No hugging, no kissing allowed!"

Muchen sat up straight. "Yes, mother. We will follow the rules. I will not touch him unless you give me permission!"

This seemed to soothe her agitated nerves. Massaging her brows, she waved at them. "Eat breakfast before you go."

"Mother! Thank you, mother!" Muchen shouted, bowing deeply.

"Stop calling me mother!" She screamed before walking into the kitchen.

Muchen giggled, looking up at Yunfeng. "She likes me…"

"She does…" Yunfeng gently poked his cheeks. "Do you have any allergies?"

"No…" Muchen leaned close. "But I think I'm allergic to rules. Just hearing all those rules made me break into goosebumps." He showed his hand to him.

Yunfeng chuckled and playfully tugged at his arm hair. "I meant food!"

"Then I have no allergies."

Muchen stood up, adjusting his suit. "I have some gifts for your family. Wait a minute; it's in the car."

"You don't have to."

"But I wanted to." Muchen ran out of the house in a hurry. Watching his retreating back, Yunfeng just smirked widely. 'Why is he so cute... aghhh! I just want to bite into him…'

"Do I get gifts?" Jai sat on the armrest. "Hana sold his autographs for a hundred each. Tsk, why didn't I think of it."

Yunfeng pinched him playfully. "Don't bother him too much."

"Tsk, he is stealing my friend. I need to be paid well to allow that."

A huge box moved slowly into their house. Yunfeng watched it doubtfully. "Muchen?" He walked close. Muchen was pushing it from behind. "A hand, please."

"What is this?!"

"A massage chair." He moved it in and removed the cardboard. "I heard your mom works long hours on her feet. This will massage her whole body. Oh, and it has fifty modes or so…" He plugged it in.

"Muchen, this..." Yunfeng felt tears prickle his eyes. After his rebirth, he had watched his mother suffer so much. She would have backaches, but she would never allow him to massage her.

"Muchen…" He leaned close, hugging him from behind. "You... do you like my family?"

"I adore them," he whispered, holding his hand softly. "I lost my family long back... it's nice to call out mother again."

Yunfeng hugged him even tighter. "Thank you..."
