Chapter 53 - Handsome friends

Yunfeng anxiously gazed at the door again and again.

"Who are you waiting for? Is it your friend?" Momma Lia gently touched his forehead.

"no! I'm not waiting... I'm just looking at the door. It's a strange structure." He stammered blushing.

Lia gazed at the door with a frown. "It looks like a normal door to me. Did you hit your head too hard when you fell?" she touched the back of his head and felt the small bump. "I should ask the doctor to get a CT scan of your head."

"I'm fine! Mum, I'm completely fine." He laid back on the bed and covered his head with the sheet.

"I've already told your friend. He will be here." his mum said with laughter.

"What?" he gazed up in shock. "You asked him to come see me?"

"Yeah," she peeled an apple and held it up to his mouth. "Eat this."

Blankly, Yunfeng bit into the apple. 'so, he will come….' His lips raised up instantly in a silly smile. 'He he...'

The door opened right then.

Yunfeng sat up straight adjusting his hair.

But to his surprise, it was not a handsome young start that entered the room but another familiar person.

"Oh... it's you." he deflated like a balloon.

"Wow, you sound so happy to see me." Jai grumbled sarcastically as he walked up to him. "didn't even miss me a bit? We haven't met in a few days and you forget about your dear friend. If your mum hadn't told me anything I wouldn't have even known you were hospitalized."

"I'm not hospitalized... just admitted for a few days." Yunfeng mumbled with a deep pout. 'It's not him... I guess mum meant Jai... so Muchen will not come... I wanted to see him badly.'

"Jai, it's been so long. Here, have an apple." She hand-fed him. "How is your family? Thank you so much for helping Yunfeng the last time,"

"No worries Aunty. This guy is like my brother from another mother. Plus, my dad adores him,"

"don't lie through your teeth," Yunfeng grumbled gazing up at him.

"I'm serious, ah. He keeps asking about you." Jai sat down chewing on the apple. Soon the stash of apples in the ward was eaten clean.

"Wait, I'll some more," Lia stood up with a small smile.

"No mum, it's okay," Yunfeng stopped her.

"Shut it. Let Jai eat well. Look how slim he is," she gently pinched his cheeks. "Aunt will be back in a minute. You guys' chat okay,"

"Hmm..."

They both waited until his mum was out of the room to look at each other.

"Spill it. What's going on? You look like you were expecting someone else. You barely know anyone."

"I know people," Yunfeng glared up at him.

"Really? I'm your best friend all your life. I know about you buddy. if you weren't expecting me then who were you expecting?" Jai raised a brow.

"Someone else…" pouting he hugged the sheets close. 'Why isn't he here…. I want to see him...'

"Huh? Him? you sound longing. You like a guy?" Jai sat down next to him eyes wide open.

"w-what? What are you talking about?"

"You said that out loud. I want to see him. why isn't he here?" Jai repeated his words with a smirk. "Ohh our Yunfeng has grown up so much," he laid down next to Him and hugged his neck. "Who is this mysterious man huh? is he more handsome than me? If you wanted to go for men, you should have asked me first," he playfully tugged at his cheeks.

"Shut up. You're not that handsome."

"tsssk I'm handsome! Take a good look." He put his face close to his.

Chuckling Yunfeng pushed him away.

"ahem ahem!" loud clearing of throat pulled the two young men out of their own world.

 Yunfeng pushed Jai off the bed and sat up excitedly. But seeing someone other than Muchen he deflated.

There was a man standing there with a huge rose bouquet in hand and a get well soon balloon.

"You came to the wrong room." Mumbling he laid down on the bed.

"Ya! You actually dare to push me away! you almost broke my back," Jai shot up and sat on the bed. His glaring eyes fell on the newcomer with apprehension. "didn't you hear him? This is the wrong room."

"Actually, I'm in the right room." The man walked close.

Jai vigilantly watched him as he placed the bouquet on the table. He gently nudged Yunfeng. "Who is he?" he mouthed.

"I don't know."

"I'm Muchen's manager..." Shao whispered awkwardly.

"What?!" two voices intertwined.

Yunfeng excitedly looked at the man. he had only seen glimpses of Muchen's manager before. the man had always worn tight suits. but the person in front of him was wearing a loose flannel shirt and jogging pants. that's why he didn't recognize him at all.

"Muchen sent me this? where is he? Is he here?"

"No. he is quite busy with his work. So, he was not able to make it. he asked me to bring you lunch," the man said placing another huge wooden bento box.

"Oh..." Yunfeng pouted looking at the box. 'He could have dropped it off himself... I wanted to see him...'

Jai gazed at the two people suspiciously.

"Who might this be?" Shao gazed at him with a slightly stiff lip.

'He doesn't like me.' Jai instantly came to a conclusion. He had seen that look before from the younger generation who were jealous of him or hated his family status. 'Who is this man and why does he not like me?'

He hugged Yunfeng's neck. "I'm Jai."

"Oh… I see... I'll get going then." Shao bowed slightly and left in a formal manner.

But right as he closed the door, he let out an anxious sigh. "Muchen is in trouble. Yunfeng has too many handsome people around him ah. This guy really must step up his game."
