92 The Ones

"Hello there Bido.", The Father says.

I turn around, "General Kenobi?"

He laughs, the Daughter smirks and the Son rolls his eyes.

"Your foresight is impressive Bido. Your instincts are impressive too. It was a good decision to destroy the Amulet of Shinnok a bit beyond the edge of the galaxy.", he praises.

"Thank you Father. Is the presence of all three of you here because of Shinnok's attempt?", I ask.

He smiles, "Not entirely. Shinnok truly was being used as a way for the Force to interact with the galaxy in a more direct way. Now that he is gone. There is a vacant position."

I say, "No offense, but that position seems boring as hell for someone like me."

He nods, "Yes, which is why the position can be modified. Certain people are...trouble. It would have been Shinnok that would be dealing with them. However, he is now frozen up. He won't be allowed to do any sort of tasks for the future. He'll be put where the most abominable of things are put away to be forgotten."

I am intrigued, "So, I'll hunt down these troublesome characters for the Force."

"Yes, the balance must be re-achieved. If there are no Sith, there can be no Jedi.", he says.

I sigh, "I know of that future. I have even thought of ways balance can be achieved without it happening."

The Son speaks up, "There is, all you have to do is hunt down all the Jedi yourself. Kill them all and there will be balance."

I shake my head, "Yautja do not hunt prey to extinction. I cannot kill all the Jedi."

The Son groans, "Then just kill most of them. I can get that Sith to finish the job then he'll die of old age."

The Daughter speaks against it, "No. Destroy the Sith and the Jedi will degenerate into nothing in another 1000 years."

The Father denies both their ideas, "Neither will work my children. Killing the Jedi will only skew the balance in another way. There also isn't enough time to wait a 1000 years. There needs to be a correction soon. Ashes are needed for new and powerful figures to arise in the galaxy."

"I may have another way.", I say.

The Father raises an eyebrow.

I explain, "The Vong dislike non-biological technology to the point of hatred. Since they are so afraid of machines. Send machines to deal with them. The Rakata built Starforges. As Celestials, you can build better Starforges. Create an endless army of metal to face them."

The Father scrunches his brow, "We have retreated from the galaxy. Our presence outside of this metaphysical space or Mortis will change the galaxy. Even if we just breathe. We can no longer go out."

"Then use the Kiliks again. Or some other species to build for you while you all stay where you are.", I suggest.

He shakes his head, "No civilization has the Force Users required to build such things anymore. Let alone use Mecha Duru to a masterful degree. Such beings don't exist anymore. They won't for a long while. The Kiliks are not what they once where neither. Galactic persecution has severely hurt their development and knowledge over the the many thousands of years."

I grumble, "Then I need a way to build such a station without you."

He questions, "How?"

"I don't know yet.", I answer blandly.

He sighs, "Besides all this, back to the previous topic. Will you take the job?"

I already have an answer, "I'll take it, but every time I complete a hunt, I expect a reward. I'll do in it on my own terms too."

He smiles, "Good, that is acceptable. Also, what Shinnok promised you, will still be rewarded by the Force. Have a good day now Bido."

The Ones then disappeared with the paralyzed Shinnok. The dark space faded away and I was back on Ryloth. Stranded without a ship.

I speak into my comms, "Hello, Arla? Furia? Either of you there?"

"...We are here Bido.", I hear Arla.

"I need a new ship to be sent to Ryloth. I had to get rid of my last one.", I say.

Furia asks over comm, "We noticed. Why did you send your ship to sellf-destruct outside the edge of the galaxy?"

"I'll tell you both about it after I get back. Send the ship please.", I say tiredly.

Arla responds, "Okay Bido, a ship has been sent. Come straight home."

"Thank you, I will.", the communication ends and I go to sit on a rock as I wait for the ship.

"What a troublesome galaxy this is...."
