44 Prey: Darth Venamis

I arrive on Typhon. I received personally by the android that delivered Darth Venamis to my game world.

I ask the android, "How did the capture go?"

It reports, "It went well. The target thought he was unknown to everyone and everything. He got too confident in how hidden he was. He was completely unprepared for the sleeping gas. I kept him sedated for the trip. Then I dropped him off in the middle of the completed game area."

"Good, you may return then.", I then dismissed the android back to where he was inserted.

I decide to take a quick overview of the environment of the hunting grounds that was completed. I know it is a forested area with bumpy elevation. I just wanted to see if there are any flesh raiders there.

In the construction report, some flesh raiders were killed as they were in the way. There is still a population of them inside the grounds though.

"I was thinking of wiping them off the face of the planet. However, they may prove useful as a spice to the hunting grounds. A native environmental threat.", I think aloud.

Well, Venamis should be awake and confused by now. Let's send out the hounds. I let out 20 of my hellhounds, and send them into the grounds with the sound of a whistle. The hounds are off.

I already have my weapons and tools, so I follow up behind them.

The grounds that were walled of are a huge space. Since, we knew Venamis was in the middle, we didn't to spread the search too far. We got to the middle of the grounds, then the hounds picked up his smell.

20 minutes later, as the hounds are fast, they came on the heels of Venamis.

I was watching from at a distance perched on a tree branch. Venamis had ignited his lightsaber to fight my hounds. The first hell hound leapt on him, and Venamis gave a strong diagonal strike. The only thing he achieved though, was deflecting the hound. Venamis quickly realized they were lightsaber proof.

He then opted to use Force abilities, like push and crush. They didn't affect the hounds either. He used Force Enhancement to dodge a hound and grab it's head. Finally, with a violet jerk, he broke its neck.

"A fine counter. Most things will die with their neck broken.", I praised his quick thinking.

He does the same to a few more dogs before I bow my dog whistle. All the hellhounds are then recalled. I'll be taking it from here.

At first, I see Venamis relax for a second before going on guard again. His lightsaber re-ignited. I followed him as he walked in a single direction through the forest. I would do a Predator click/clack every once in a while to get him wary.

Finally, I decided to start with some light harassment. I take out my power disc, and chuck it at him. It flies past him as he dodges. The power disc stops and changes direction in flight. With the disc coming back at him, Venamis slices it in half. The weapon is neutralized.

He shouts, "I know what game you're playing! You fancy yourself a hunter? I am SITH! I will torture you're very soul and make you beg at my feet!"

I chuckle and respond by throwing some shuriken at him. He destroys them all. I follow up with a combi-stick throw. He destroys that too, but still managed to nick him a little. I threw really fast after all. For my last offense, I throw a plasma shot at him.

He puts his hand out and freezes it in midair.

I am impressed at this. Force Freeze is difficult to use. I decide it is time I take him on for reals.

I leap down in his path and uncloak, "Hello Darth Venamis. I welcome you."

The Bith scoffs, "So it was you. The legendary Predator. You decided to make me your prey? Why is that? Making an enemy of a Sith is unwise after all."

I laugh in his face, "It is precisely because you are a Sith that I wanted to hunt you. No one knows you, so no one will miss you. If I had gone after Plaguies, I would have to deal with his apprentice. That would be just troublesome."

Venamis gets agitated at the mention of Plaguies. I then take out my light-glaive, "Time to meet your fate, Darth Venamis."

He growls, "Same to you."

I attacked first, he sidestepped with a deflection and a counter. A spin of my glaive and his attack was deflected. We continued to trade a few blows like this. I noticed the form he is using is Djem So, or Form IV. Tight movements, deflections, and a reverse grip. He never blocked head on. It was also moving away from the strike and deflecting. Against someone like me who is bigger, it is not a bad way to fight.

Darth Venamis, then throws Force Lightning at me quickly. Not caught by surprise, I throw out a hand and absorb it into a Force Lightning Ball, and shoot it back. He raises his lightsaber to block the ball of Force, and deflects it aside with some struggle. A short pause in our fight ensues.

"So you can use the Force...", he says lowly with a scowl.

Then we go back at it. This time, Force abilities are incorporated. We use Push, Throw, Lightning, and the fucker even attempts to choke me. I break out of that with a Force Repulse, making a crater around me. Trees and rocks are thrown around as the sound of clashing lightsaber and glaive continue.

The landscape around us is chiseled down by our fight. Darth Venamis had began to use Force Enhancement to his max, and so have I. We were moving in a blur. I had never fought so hard against an opponent before. Never been able to give almost everything I had.

In our final exchange, I made a single small move that would decide our battle. As I brought down by glaive to cut into his shoulder, down to his heart. I used Force Freeze on his body. It only allowed a half-second window of attack, but at out speeds, it was enough. Destined Death cleaved into his body and into his heart.

The Bith let out a wheeze, "Damn you...". Before finally falling to the ground, dead.

I reach down to take his head, then let a roar in celebration of my victory. Best hunt I've had so far.

As for the evaluation of Darth Venamis. He could be called strong enough to be a Sith Lord. That is all though. He was not outstanding in anything. Well, he was a little good at Force Enhancement, but that's it. It was no wonder Darth Plaguies would later best him in combat. Darth Venamis was all brawn, and a good Sith, must be more than that.

Now to return and clean off this skull.
