1 Into the real world

Up until today i thought my life would be wonderful but in this world power is all that matters. I got robbed ten times the first week out of high school in my world everyone has a different (Sl: the strength level you have ranks from 1 to 20) mine is 1 the weakest in my world people with a Sl lower than 5 would have a short life if your SL is over ten you live a great life if you don't get a career with that level you can just rob lower level the police don't care you lowers die they only care about higher levels. Well i was walking to my job as a store clerk when I see a low level kid getting beat up i keep walking to my job i get there and see its destroid the owner hung from a noose at the front of the store because he did not pay for protection he was a SL level 3. I liked him he was a good man but I keep walking because if I intervend I would die.

I get jumped and everything goes black I hear a voice at the back of my head "do you seek strength it says I say yes." I wake up the same place I fell down and walk home I need a new job I think to myself. I bought a gun for protection but it has no effect on people SL ten or above. As i walk out of my house going to look for a job I see the kid I saw getting beat earlier dead on the ground i shed a tear and keep walking.

I get to a convent store and ask the owner for a job he says yes he said I'll get 3 dollars a hour to which I say ok that's fine. I smile as things are looking up for me I got a job soon after I lost one which is rare but then my smile goes away as im jumped I try running but I fall and everything goes black an then I hear a voices it says do I seek strength I cant talk but the voice says then you do and I wake up feeling good I go home and feel different my arm is sore the next day I feel stronger so I try and lift a weight and im a SL 3 did I grow stronger is this what the voice ment but when he lifted the weight he felt he got even more stronger and found out by lifting heavy objects and fighting he can get stronger.
