Armoured Princess

After I brought Entrapta the tech, she continued working on the new portal. I helped her, even though I had this feeling, it won't work. We have been working for two days straight, before Entrapta sent me to bed, because I was getting really tired. She told me she would go to bed too, that she would just finish something...

I woke up, feeling very refreshed. I quickly changed to one of the clothings Entrapta gave me, so I wouldn't stand out that much. Not that there were many people around here. I walked to kitchen, grabbed some tiny breakfast and headed towards the lab.

"Good morning Entrapta." I greeted her and placed the plate with food on the table. I immediately took one of the muffins I baked yesterday.

"Good morning Y/N. Wanna hear good news?" Entrapta exclaimed proudly. I smiled when she also took one of the muffins.

"Of course, bring it on!" I said with my mouth full.

"The portal is almost ready. I'm giving it some finishing touches now." she answered and added the last piece of First Ones tech. I kneeled down and connected few wires that could help the portal with staying opened. Then the middle of the construction began sparkling, in kinda a weird way.

"Is it supposed to do this? Is it working?" I asked, freaking out a little. If this wasn't supposed to happen, who knows what will these sparks do.

"Yes Y/N, it is working.." Entrapta stared at the sparks with amazed look.  I look at my arm, where was that weird bracelet. When I looked at it, it shined a little and then continues being normal. I ignored that completely.

"We should run more tests and see if we could stabilize it-" Entrapta began jumping happily across the room, when the portal began flickering. Then, everything that was connected to the portal disappeared, just like Entrapta said it happened when I arrived. Then we heard a noise outside, in the courtyard, like someone fell on the ground.

"We should check that." I said, before Entrapta grabbed me with her hair and got me quickly into the courtyard. When I saw the person, sitting there and looking around with a confused look, I felt as she was similar. Yet she didn't look like anyone I remembered from Earth, my true home.

"State your name! And... And tell me where I am!" the girl shouted at us, quickly got on her feet and into a fighting stance.

"Woah, Woah. No need for a fight. I'm Entrapta, this is Y/N and you are now in the Kingdom of Dryl." Entrapta answered quickly, not wanting to fight since, you know, she ain't much of a fight type.

"Where in the four nations is Dryl? Earth? Fire?" the girl asked again, still alerted and ready to fight. Pieces started to come together. Something truly was familiar about her.

"Dryl isn't in a nation. It's just a kingdom." I answered instead of Entrapta, because I felt like I knew who am I dealing with. Yet I still couldn't remember "there aren't any nations, so you are maybe on different planet. Now, since we have already introduced ourselves, mind telling us your name."

"The name's Azula, Princess Azula." she said her name and stopped for a second, probably mulling over what I just said to her.

"You're a princess too?" Entrapta squealed happily and as usually, she began to randomly measure Azula and to take notes of her looks.

"Of course I am, I literally just said that." Azula rolled her eyes. She showed no interest in talking to us, but knew we might be her only chance to get back home.

"Do you have powers? God, that would be amazing!" Entrapta continued and wrote something down in her little notebook. I knew that, if Azula would see my bracelet, she would immediately think I'm suspicious. For that reason I quickly took the bracelet off and hided it in my pocket "You know, since almost every princess here has powers." Entrapta finished.

"Well, of course I have powers. But we don't call it like that. It's called bending and It's super powerful." Azula looked at me. "I saw that, why do you have that?"

"Well... Uh.. I found it?" I answered. Azula didn't looked convinced.

"Well, It was nice meeting you, but I want to get back." Azula rolled her eyes again. Entrapta laughed nervously.

"That won't be possible.. I think. The portal is probably gone again." She said, making Azula groan.

"Does that mean I have to stay here..?" Azula asked. She was visibly annoyed.

"It does. Until we build the portal again." I answered.

They could be useful.. Remember that Azula, they can help you with defeating the Avatar if you are at least a little nice to them and maybe help them... Azula thought to herself.

"Well, If I'm staying here I should know how to get around. Mind giving me a tour?" Azula forced herself to ask nicely. Both me and Entrapta gave a smile.

"Y/N can show you around, while I go take a look if there are any portal parts around here. See you later!" Entrapta smiled and disappeared into the castle.

"Tell about the bracelet, is it special? Or why do you have it?" Azula asked once Entrapta was gone.

"I just think it pretty?" I shrugged. Then I remembered what happened in Whispering Woods "and It can probably fire bend or something like that."

"Like, you can fire bend with it?" Azula asked once more. I just nodded "show me then."

I put on the bracelet again and tried to light a small fire in my hand. I was surprised when it worked.

"Cool, now try it without the bracelet." Azula said and looked at the red flame in my hand.

"But I'm not a fire-" "Just try it." She interrupted me. I put out the fire, took of the bracelet and tried again. After a couple of seconds, there was a small red fire in my hand again.

"But how?" I asked.

"There is no thing such as a bracelet that can make you a bender. But how do you know so much stuff about... about bending and my home?" Azula got closer to me.

"I'm also not from here. I come from a different planet and there are.. stories about bending, Avatar and the four nations" I simply said, hoping she won't want to know more.

"Sounds like it could be true Y/N." Azula smirked and looked at my bracelet once more.

"Can I call you Azula or do I have to address you as Princess..?" I nervously asked before we went to the castle. Azula thinks for few seconds.

"You may call me Azula, BUT only if I get to train you in fire bending." She smiled. I bet she already started planning everything.

"Ain't that two plusses for me?" I smirked, trying not to look so soft to her.

"Perhaps I want to train you, so you could maybe help me with defeating the Avatar, once we are able to open portals again" She winked "Now lead the way."

"Alright Azula, follow me!" I smiled and started to show her around the castle. From the Lab, kitchen, pool and spa, to explaining that it's possible to move around in the vents.

We still got lost few times, but luckily I had a electrical map that Entrapta gave me..
