Power Trumps All (COMPLETE)

My life is complicated. My powers are complicated. The world I've found myself in isn't making my situation any easier too. The arrowverse is not as terrifying as some of the other screwed up worlds in the multiverse, but when you have people like Harrison wells running around and a more realistic spin to the Flash' rogue gallery...Power is the only way to save your ass. So that is what I'll strive for...Power Unending. *Cover pic ain't mine.

Chapter 46 The Thinker's True Power part 1

(General P.O.V)

The first and last time that Jin had schemed, it had ended in failure. At least to his knowledge.

But what he didn't take into account was the Thinker's formidable intelligence. Intellect that interwove plans within plans and mixed up countermeasures with contingencies.

Jin had underestimated the Thinker. Believing that his defeat had been easy because his power wasn't as broken in the Arrow-verse as it's counterpart in the comic world.

But what he failed to understand was that the scale of a power like intelligence couldn't be correctly measured.

He would soon come to know just how much he'd been wrong about.

(General P.O.V)

"This fight is just getting started!"

Jin's voice rang out and Thawne's face turned grim. He touched the strange barrier that was preventing him from leaving a certain distance from Jin.

His plans had been going smoothly before the enigma that was Anderson came into picture. After finding out if Barry could time travel, Thawne had planned to use him and his speed to open up a rift in space that would enable Thawne to safely crossover to his time.

Taking the pendant from Caitlin was more of a contingency plan in case, Something like Jin happened. A back up plan that would definitely work only if he could get that Pendant to the star labs pipeline. An objective that was seemingly getting further and further away.

'I wonder…' Thawne waved his hand and a bird construct appeared. The pendant was absorbed into the construct and it flew forward unobstructed by the barrier.

"An intent based barrier designed to specifically keep me in but not anything else huh?"

He muttered.

"Doesn't matter. I'll play around with them for a bit. I just need to buy some time."

Thawne turned around and sped off towards Jim and the others.

(Jin's P.O.V)

Thawne appeared in front of us in an instant.

"You…"

Barry growled out before shooting off towards him.

"Wait."

I blocked his way by flexing my speed and appearing before him. He didn't even slow down and phased through me. I turned around, slightly miffed and decided to just watch.

Barry came upon Thawne and punched him. Or rather he tried to, Thawne ducked and a tornado formed around the speedsters who were duking it out before us.

"Help him Jin. Please."

Caitlin shouted from the side. I sighed and a blast of wind appeared between the 2 speedsters. It exploded throwing them away from each other.

I mentally seized control of both of their bodies through blood control. Their eyes widened in shock.

"Why can't I move?"

"Sorry Barry. You heard the lady. Now shut up and listen."

"You'll pay for this. I promise."

I turned my attention to the growling Thawne.

"You have been a thorn, pun-intended on my side for a while. It's time you went quiet. Permanently."

"How do you know that name?"

To say he was surprised was an understatement. I chuckled.

"I know a lot about you Thawne. And that's why, I'm not going to end you before you tell me what you're really planning."

I pulled him forward and ripped the mask on his face off. Caitlin gasped. The face of Dr.Wells looked at me with hate on his face. I wanted to do nothing else than freeze the blood in his body but the thing about villains like Thawne, is that they are vindictive. Manipulative, devious and sore losers that would definitely try to take out their enemies even in their deaths.

So I couldn't kill him just yet.

"Look at him in the eyes and tell him what you did."

I turned Thawne over to Barry, whose hate filled eyes were greater than even Thawne's. Thawne started laughing.

"Now this…this is funny. Through the course of our rivalry, I have never seen you loath anyone else like you loath me. It's fitting don't you think? The one who gave you everything also took everything from you. In all our battles however, there's never been a clear victor. This time, Flash. This time history doesn't repeat itself. For I have already won."

I frowned in confusion at his words as I looked over at him. In a split second, my control over Barry's body slipped. Pieces of ice exploded out as the barrier I'd hastily erected  around Caitlin was smashed apart by a speeding blur. Lightning exploded from my arm and connected with the blur. Carrying it away to hit the wall of the building.

A vibrating hand thrust out of my chest, or rather my afterimage. I jumped back, grabbed hold of Caitlin in my arms and a shockwave blasted us off of that building to the next.

A gray blur tried to tackle me off the building but met an ice wall.

"Gravi-bands off."

Thawne's voice rang out.

Another fist and this time, the ice wall was busted clean through. I was surprised but not enough to fail to block. The fist hit my forearm and a blast of wind sent the rest of the ice chunks and and air away from us. Caitlin quickly got up from the ground.

"No…Barry…what what did he do to you?!"

The Flash looked on expressionless. Gray lightning randomly streaked around his body and for his eyes there were only 2 gray pools.

A grim look appeared on my face when another gray lightning clad speedster arrived.

"Fascinating don't you think? Nanites are truly exceptional Mr Anderson. But that's akin to preaching to the choir. After all, this was only possible due to you."

I knew what he was talking about.

"So Hartley…"

Thawne nodded while tracing a finger across Barry's shoulder. The flash gave no outward response.

"Hartley while smart isn't very...wise. He thought he was coming to take down my legacy but he only ended up bringing me something good- a wonderful device that would even be rare where I come from. Tell me Mr Anderson any relation to Clifford Devoe? No? Ok then."

I sent a minute speck of divine water ice shooting towards him. It impacted on a barrier of energy tightly covering Thawne's body.

"That was sneaky of you Mr. Anderson."

So...he felt it.

"And I'm guessing you reverse engineered the device that was enhancing Hartley's powers, modified the nanites and enhanced Barry's speedster powers immensely. What he didn't know is that you created a way to control the nanites in his body. You also enhanced yourself hence turning the manifestation of your speed from red to gray. Correct?"

I guessed.

"Wow. Everything you said was true. You just keep on impressing me more and more Mr. Anderson. But I'm afraid that this is the end for you. Can you take on both of us at the same time while still protecting her?"

He was right. They were much faster than before. Not to mention I still had Cate to protect. Of course I knew Thawne also wanted to stall me but I didn't see any other way to deal with him apart from fighting him. I didn't entertain the thought of falling back. Tonight was the night I would end him. No matter what.

"Barry, if you're inside there...snap out of it! You're stronger than you imagine and I know that you can do this!"

Caitlin pleaded.

"Don't waste your breath. He can't break out of it because it's not a matter of his will being strong. I have nanites in every piece of flesh in his body."

The news chopper was still filming and a cordon of police vehicles was surrounding the building complex we were on. Military jeeps were just pulling in and soldiers started pouring out en masse. I felt all this through my water sense.

Divine water flowed out of me and gently formed into the vague figure of a man. My runic form activated and the runes for 'clone', 'stabilize' and 'copy creator's powers' were swiftly inscribed through the cursive tips of my fingers. Instantly features appeared on the water clone that made it resemble me. It had around 10% of all my powers except for hydrokinesis which was as strong as mine.

Thawne watched on with interest. The clone wasn't strong combat wise but it would be more than durable enough to protect Cate. And just for added measure...3 more clones formed around her protecting her completely.

"What a wonderful application of your hydrokinetic ability! And you used some other power to make them autonomous."

I settled into a basic stance of 'The Flow' while staring at my opponents. This fight wouldn't be easy. I took a deep breath, held it in and breathed out. Slowly my demeanor changed as I channeled my intent to hurt them into my moves.

"What are we waiting for? Let's dance."

A dragon construct of water created by my clones formed around Caitlin and flew off. It was headed towards the Star labs. Caitlin was already trying to contact Cisco and get his help in stopping whatever Thawne had planned for the city.

Blue lightning encased my limbs as Thawne and I met in the middle. A shockwave exploded from my fist towards the incoming speedsters. Crackles of electric energy sending tiny explosions into the air. A lance of grey lightning met my attack and they cancelled each other out.

"Aah!"

I swung my leg forwards and a huge wind blew everything away including the speedsters.

They both split into 2 copies. A pair of the copies broke away and started running in opposites direction while the other pair attacked.

I dissipated the tornado coming at me with a flick of my finger. Another flick and the wind carried huge concrete debris that went flying to my sides, effectively blocking the super sonic punches from the other pair of speedsters.

The concrete exploded and I adjusted the speed of the stone pieces to pelt the area around me on all sides.

"Arg!"

One of the Thawne's groaned and disappeared in a flash of gray.

"Give up Thawne. You won't win this fight."

I shouted, the wind helping to carry my voice further.

"Stand down Drakon. Come down with your hands in the air or we will be forced to open fire."

As if in response, a soldier in a military chopper announced through a megaphone.

"Fucking military."

I tensed and waited for the next wave of attacks from the speedsters. Thawne had found a way to dull my senses but I knew he was planning something. My eyes opened wide in shock as a dozen speedsters appeared in my sense.

"Time remnants! Shit."

I flew up as my runic state came on. A huge runic formation shot off from my feet. 'Slow down time for speedsters.'

Instantly dozens of attacks headed for me appeared to be moving in molasses as the time remnants of Barry had their personal time slowed down.

Thawne must have controlled him to create time remnants of himself through the span of seconds. This needs to stop.

I turned on the Thinker's powers on how to handle the situation I'd found myself in. Based on the fact that time remnants are essentially the same person from a different timeline it didn't matter who was from what timeline or not so...I only needed one Barry alive. But could I do it? Kill 11 lives just to protect the timeline? It was the correct choice but was it the right one?

I couldn't kill them. Dammit.

In their slowed down state all I had to do was to knock them out. A flash of speed later all the Barrys fell down like strings cut from a puppet. I whirled around quickly when I heard shouts.

The rotors of the chopper were damaged and the helicopter was headed straight for me. I used the winds to slow it's descent and then safely carried it down to the ground.

Thawne appeared next to the Barrys but hit a barrier that I had discreetly put up. Chains of yellow light sprung up to bind him tightly. I had applied more than just the slow down time to the runic formation and fortunately the trap I had set for him had worked.

"It's over Thawne."

Before I could cut off his head, a loud explosion of dark matter swept out through the city. I quickly turned to look out towards it's origin. Star Labs.

"You turned on the particle accelerator didn't you?"

I quietly asked.

Thawne started laughing.

"That and more. Let me go and I'll stop what's about to happen. Refuse and the casualties will be..."

"Stop. I'm not listening to you anymore. No one is gonna take this away from me. Not even you. You think you have me at a disadvantage but you forget one thing. I'm not a hero. Your continued existence will only bring more trouble to me. Fuck the city. It's heroes will rise up to protect it. Because of you, we have more than enough Flashs to do that. Goodbye Thawne."

His eyes turned frantic but I didn't wait for his next words. It was probably reckless but I didn't care. His head separated from his body.

Rain started falling on me, adding more solemnity to the scene as alarms begun blaring from all around the city in the background.

"It's done."

I sighed.

I could feel another wave of dark matter coming. This one was bigger and it wasn't coming from Star Labs. Instead it was coming from the rest of the planet. Getting sucked in by something...That something being Star Labs. I wondered if Caitlin and the others were alright before realizing that my clones wouldn't have let anything happen to her.

A strange feeling of excitement begun welling up from inside me.

An unknown song begun to play in my ears. It wasn't anything I'd heard before but as I sank deeper and deeper into it...my mind opened up and memories started pouring into me. Memories that I had no recollection of making. Memories that left me confused and... terrified.

My mouth opened wide in absolute shock. This..This was my plan all along?

That's when I finally knew just how terrifying the Thinker's powers actually were. The city was in risk of getting destroyed and countless people dying and it was all a part of my ultimate plan.
