Chapter 49 Incorporeal

(Jin's P.O.V)

The portal exited out into the Original Jin's prison dimension.

"As dreary as always."

I shook my head and teleported next to him. I waved a hand and the chains holding him captive shattered. He stiffened before slowly moving his body into a standing position.

"I'm free?"

He mumbled before adding, this time confidently,

"I'm free. Honestly I wasn't expecting this."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

I narrowed my eyes.

"Hey hey I didn't mean it like that. I meant I wasn't expecting for it to be this fast. I'm... grateful."

He quickly added.

I nodded and sat on one of the rocks.

"Me too. But I recently found out that things are rarely as clear cut as you might think." I stopped and looked at my palm, " I've found out that I've been underestimating not only this world but also myself. It's raised some questions and now I can't help but wonder, am I as free as I really think?"

The whole hypnosis thing that the Thinker's power had put me in was still weighing heavily on my mind. It had all worked out well in the end. That said the disastrous outcomes that would have resulted upon my failure would have seen Central city wiped off the map and it would have all been because of my power.

So I had a decision to make.

"Wait."

I mused to myself.

"The decision has already been made."

I tried to use any of the powers I'd gained from the System and this time they were gone for good. The trade off was better however. I could now do whatever I wanted. There were no limits to my power and with a little time I could create all the powers I had had make them even stronger.

But for that to happen...I needed a body. My body had disintegrated during the process of turning me into a higher being but I honestly wasn't sad about it. I'll say it again...I had become much more POWERFUL. More powerful than I could have achieved in a decade no matter my advantages of knowing the future. Plus, in a strange way this worked out well for me. Now I could finally begin project: Super soon.

What was Project: Super? You'll find out in the future.

"Hey. Heeey... you've been staring at your palm for close to five seconds. You alright?"

Logan snapped his fingers at my face. Oh, I must have been out of it. Too busy thinking about my plans. The first step was to come up with a way to interact with the physical world in my Incorporeal state. Fortunately, I knew just where to get a skill like that.

"Let's go."

I told him as a portal formed before us. For a minute or two he stayed at his position while looking around.

"I'm gonna miss this place...naah"

Logan turned into electric energy and dissipated off into the portal. I stayed and also looked around. This realm was connected to mine and after I had destroyed Morpheus' grip on me, it'd completely fallen into my hands.

I cast out my awareness and my eyes widened. It was still expanding! Every second it existed it seemed to match the speed of expansion similar to my universe. The only difference was that this space was gloomier and more suitable for spiritual entities. You see where I'm going with this? I smiled and entered the portal.

I found Logan, who had conjured a simple black t-shirt and grey pants kneeling before Yuki's pool. His hand was gently playing in the water. I'd also noticed that the vegetation, meaning grass around Yuki's pool was teeming with more life force.

"She will be so happy to see you free once she wakes up."

I told him and he nodded, a sad smile on his face.

"Yeah. She will."

"What now Logan? You know me better than anyone else. My ambition doesn't end here. I still have a lot to...see and experience. I still haven't found my purpose. You have to decide."

I asked him.

"You want to know if we'll follow you huh? Yuki...she's always wanted to make friends...have a kids tea party and go to the playground to make sand castles. Things I'd shared with her from my memories. Logically speaking she was created due to you but as her big brother...I want her to enjoy her childhood. So no. We can't follow you. Besides, you're a god now. I doubt you even need our help anymore."

He was right. Goddamit he was right and I couldn't think of a counter argument. Yuki had grown on me and i wanted her to have a good life. She still had her innocence. Something I had lost a long time ago.

"You're right."

There wasn't a need for my runic form to activate anymore. I could use runic magic now. Though my control went to shit. No doubt because of losing my body.

2 huge formations appeared beside us. I channeled my personal energy into the formations and took advantage of my power of creation. Something I had always been able to do in my realm.

The difference this time was the runic formation. It's purpose was to connect whatever I was creating to the mortal world. 2 bodies quickly appeared within the mass of swirling energy. Logan looked at them and smirked.

"Is that what I think it is?"

I didn't answer, too focused as I was. I had known there was a chance that my body wouldn't make it, so using my water sense and runic magic I'd scanned my body's genetic make-up and chemical composition incase I needed to construct it from the ground up or heal myself. There hadn't been a true fear of death even as it had disintegrated. My mind space would have ensured I could live on as a spiritual entity. A conclusion I had come to from not only Zoren's situation but most importantly Logan's (original Jin).

The light died out and floating in the air was a body identical to mine. On the other formation, a 4 year old girl was floating wearing a white dress with pig tails. Logan went and gently touched her hair. A drop of tear fell from his eyes and he gently said,

"Thanks. You don't know how much this means to me."

"When you're ready touch your body and your soul will be transferred in. As for Yuki..."

I gestured and her body turned into motes of light that flowed into pool.

"It's much easier for her. I always had a plan on creating a body for her. She made it easier by having an image of how she would want to look like."

He turned to look at me.

"Now what?"

I shrugged.

"Honestly, I still have a lot of things to work through but for now... I'm going back to Central city."

"I don't think you should let Caitlin and the others know that you're still alive. This way it'll be easier for her to move on. Plus problems will always follow you. I don't think you want Morpheus to use her to get back at you."

I rubbed my eyes and stayed silent before finally sighing.

"You're right. Again. But that also means I'll have to change your face. We can't have you looking like me after my "supposed" death."

"I'm fine with that. Just leave the hotness factor in place though."

He chuckled.

I adjusted his facial features. Though he still looked asian, his skin was tanner and his jaw a bit wider. I knew he was gonna wait for Yuki to wake up before leaving. Luckily he wouldn't let have to wait for too long, I could sense she was about to awaken soon.

"Now then...let's get this show on the road."

I first of all used runes to stabilize my soul as much as I could before teleporting back to earth 1 of the Arrow-verse using my Planeswalker abilities. I found myself in the room where the dark matter siphoning device was.

The whole place was wrecked and in shambles but luckily the cube containing the multiple Barrys was still secure. Not to mention my armor had also survived. I changed the armor's functions to accommodate my soul and then teleport to the skyline of central city. I spread out my water sense across the whole city and breathed out a sigh of relief.

Caitlin, Cisco, Barry and the West family were all okay. They were in Joe's house and didn't have any injuries except for Barry who was passed out. They probably thought I'd died saving the city and I wasn't about to prove them wrong.

"Goodbye Caitlin."

I then took off towards the ocean. A portal opened before me courtesy of the armor and I stepped down in Atlantis. Grand Master Zoren didn't seem surprised to see me at all though. Infact the old coot looked as if he'd expected it.

"So you finally made your decision huh?"

He asked.

"Yeah. I'm finally free."

We enjoyed a brief moment of silence before he turned around and started walking.

"Good. You came to learn how I manifest in the mortal world and interact physically with things didn't you?"

I nodded while falling into step beside him.

"Yes. As I am now, it's only through runes that I can exist in this physical space. I can create a body if I wanted to but that somehow feels...like the wrong choice."

"Mmh. You're right. Any normal body you create will simply burn away trying to contain your soul and power."

So my hunch hadn't been wrong.

"Can you still access your full strength in this form?"

He inquired and I nodded in answer.

"Good then I would suggest you stay like this for the foreseeable future up and until you come up with a plan to get a new body."

We stopped before the library.

"But for now, Its time I showed you the practitioner section."
