Power Trumps All (COMPLETE)

My life is complicated. My powers are complicated. The world I've found myself in isn't making my situation any easier too. The arrowverse is not as terrifying as some of the other screwed up worlds in the multiverse, but when you have people like Harrison wells running around and a more realistic spin to the Flash' rogue gallery...Power is the only way to save your ass. So that is what I'll strive for...Power Unending. *Cover pic ain't mine.

Chapter 48 Apex?

(Jin's P.O.V)

You know that feeling you get when you wake up in the morning after a good night's sleep and stretch? Or having a hot shower after a tiresome day? Or finding out your crush likes you too. That positive feeling of contentment. Like a hot meal to a starving man.

Yeah. I wish I could say I felt that but reality was different. My body was exuding light and an ominous glow. It started out as a groan of pain and before I could stop it I was shouting as my pain receptors fired off.

The device had stopped absorbing dark matter and was now pulsing dangerously in my palms. I had been trying to absorb that energy and the small amount I pulled inside me was enough to make me feel as if I was boiling internally.

"Stop this Jin!"

I barely registered Caitlin's voice over the coms in the wall. The skin in my hands started flaking off and disintegrating in the air and the red glow covering my body increased in intensity. But… finally! A sliver of potent esoteric energy made a full rotation inside me… easing some of my pain.

My runic form was on at this point and was the only thing keeping me from getting atomized. A runic formation appeared on my chest. I constructed it to connect the energy I was pulling in to the meta-physical space that was my soul.

I gasped as I felt huge amounts of power getting funneled to my core. My body couldn't handle it and was gradually breaking down. The runic formation instantly activated and my body lifted off the ground.

The dark matter aggressively hit the walls of divine energy enclosing my soul and the chains holding it captive shuddered. Unfortunately the chains still held on. In the next second, they did more than hold on. A torrent of divine energy collided with the dark matter energy and tried to absorb it.

Seeing as it was succeeding, a part of the runic formation on my chest activated and the dark matter gained a trace of mysticness. Just enough to stop the divine energy from changing the energy into more of itself. A pain that came from deep within my soul assaulted me as the chains holding it captive fought desperately.

The rate that my body was breaking down increased. I saw my fingers turn to energy and drift apart into the air. I didn't have a lot of time and if I failed to do this… I'd not only lose the chance to free myself from the system and whoever was fucking with my life- I would also lose my being.

"Come on!"

I gathered all the energy I could and sent it forward to blast the divinity cage housing my soul and locking my potential.

"Jin!"

I heard Caitlin shout behind me but suddenly boom! My body was erased and I died.

At least I think I did. Everything grew quiet and I found myself floating in the cosmos. For the first time in like ever I felt…free. As if I had just had a full body massage from God himself. I looked down at myself and confirmed my suspicions. I was in my soul form. That meant…my body must have died then.

Everywhere I looked, I saw star constellations. I was surrounded by beauty. Untamed space in all it's glory. I tried to access my powers but instead nothing came to me. Nothing except for the utterly immense energy I felt coursing through my body. Energy that allowed my soul to move forward and in all sides.

"Whoa. This is trippy."

I said to myself as I willed a flame to appear on my palm and it did. The flame grew larger according to my wishes and exploded into a flock of red hot phoenixes. A couple more tests and I came to one conclusion. I could do anything. All I did was visualize the effect and my almost infinite reserves of personal energy would do the rest. Anything except leave a space of 500 meters from where I was. Something was stopping me.

That means the plan worked.

A seat made of mahogany appeared behind and I sat. I looked into my soul and all I saw was a bright luminous ball of white. No chains, no divinity, nothing that wasn't mine. Just to be sure, I tried to call up the HUD of the (POWER) system but nothing came up.  I couldn't help it…I started laughing in happiness and relief. I of course felt bad that the last thing Alfred had left me was now gone but I knew that it was for the best. At least now my growth wouldn't be restricted by anyone.

I turned my attention back to my surroundings. If I couldn't go anywhere, then that meant there was something I needed to see. I cast my eyes out and looked for anything interesting. There were solar systems, nebula clouds, asteroid fields and a passing comet all around me.

None of that was distinctive or standing out in my current state.

"There's nothing to see here."

At my words everything around me started shrinking. The trillions of solar systems formed a galaxy, then billions of galaxies formed the universe.

It didn't stop there however. The universe was a multicolored ball of swirling energy. It shrank and beside it an infinite number of universes laid out further than my eyes could see. Between these universes a blank space devoid of anything occupied them. The void.

"How? How I'm I seeing all this?"

My back touched upon a wall of nothingness and I turned to stare. Behind the restrictive field of creation was the void. And it was infinite. I don't know how I knew what I knew.

The distances between the universes that made up the multiverse was also infinite. Why? Because it wasn't infinite in a physical sense. The spatial organization of these balls of creation was complicated, so I chose not to think about them.

Before me, the multiverse faded away and I was left with a black canvas. A darkness that was born from the void yet was now different. The dark space also stretched out to infinity but it didn't have the same substance like the rest of the universes.

"Witness."

A declaration rang out through the empty space and I whirled around cautiously. Looking for the source. I was the only living being here…or so I thought. No matter how much I looked for the one responsible for those words I came up empty handed.

A hum of my own energy formed before me and I gaped at the connection I felt. It expanded out-wards. Filling up the empty space completely. It stopped a couple of light years away from it's core.

I felt a force pull me closer to its core and my surprise got even bigger. The core was actually a sun that was gently twinkling and around it, a blue and green planet resembling earth was slowly revolving around. A moon was revolving around the earth in turn.

"The birth of a new universe."

The words came again and the faint presence disappeared.

"My universe."

I quietly said whilst in shock. I willed myself to move forwards and breached the atmosphere of my planet, touched down on a hill overlooking a huge lake. A lake where different types of animals were drinking water from

"The air is so fresh. Everything is vibrant and alive."

I spread out my awareness over the whole planet. There were deep jungles, undulating country lanes, savannah rain forests, huge mountain ranges and the ocean was frigging huge. Everything seemed - more.

Amidst all that, a lone cabin overlooking an iridescent pool of water appeared in my senses. I smiled and took a step. On the second step I found myself before my cabin. I looked over at the pool of glowing water where Yuki was still hibernating and sighed. I could feel her gentle presence in the water.

I knew what had happened. Information poured into me like a broken faucet.

My mind-scape had manifested into reality. I had became a god with his own universe.

Now the question is…how?

The answer was shocking and expected at the same time. I reviewed all the information and memories I was receiving…

(An undefined amount of time in the past)

Logan stumbled out of the bar. Stumbled is a strong word however. He was thrown out after causing a ruckus and fighting with the other patrons.

"ick…fuck you… James! Your… your bar issh fucking sshtupid anyway!"

He slurred as he walked out into the streets of New York.

Logan was drunk. Trying to forget his cheating girlfriend had proved harder than he thought so the option to drown himself in liquor was a very welcome thing. Not that it helped because even in his inebriated state, he still remembered her luscious lips and soft touch.

Which is why he didn't notice a truck headed for him. He only did when it was too late and the bumper was about to hit him. In those split seconds, he didn't see his life flashing Infront of him. Instead he felt something welling up inside him and in an instant, found himself in a dark place.

Logan had activated a latent power belonging to a few sentient creatures in the multiverse that allowed one to travel between planes. Logan had become a Planeswalker.

But before he could effectively jump from one plane to another, his body got trapped in the void. It disintegrated leaving only a soul that Morpheus had used to escape from his prison in the void.

Coming into contact with the void as well as the god of dreams had a qualititive change onto the young Planeswalker and it had enabled his soul to store and refine the energy of imagination gained from Morpheus as well as adapted it to change into the opposite of the void, order. Therefore, Logan's soul had actualized his mind scape into an embryonic version of a universe.

Morpheus, seeing the potential Jin displayed to be a literal god, restricted his soul with his own divinity. That and creating Alfred was enough to send him into a comma. It also ensured that Jin couldn't access his Planeswalker abilities.

 "Morpheus huh?"

So that's the guy responsible for my torment. A secondary god in the Greek Pantheon. That's also who I have to kill.

I looked at Yuki's pool and sighed. I wonder when she was going to wake up. My hand split the air by my side and a portal appeared leading to the original Jin's prison. We had a lot to talk about.

(Morpheus P.O.V)

One minute he's fine the next half of his power is drained away from him and he falls into a state of weakness.

There wasn't anything he could say before his eyes closed. The thought he couldn't express however, was that he was fucked. An apex being was free.
