Interlude 1 Prediction

James O'Brien is walking down a corridor, he opens a door and gets into an office, he sees a man in a chair, average height, bald, with an eyepatch on his right eye.

"Mr. O'Brien, I'm sorry for what's happening to your sister, but she is considered a danger to humanity…"

"Danger? She is only 10 years old!"

"Everyone with an orb is dangerous, you of all people should know that."

James hesitates saying anything else.

"But, I got a deal." That got James's attention.

"Deal?" The man was tapping his fingers with his left hand on the table, looked on the ceiling then at his right hand that was holding a pen.

"Yes, a deal. The deal itself will benefit me and you. I'll let your sister have a life without her sight or powers being impaired, but you have to monitor 2 people, Theodore Tyson, and his son Isao."

The man threw 3 pictures on the table, one of Theodore and one of Isao's, but on the third picture there was a girl no younger than 15.

"Who is this?" O'Brien inquiries. The man taps with his finger on the specific photo.

"This girl is Theodore's Tyson's step daughter. She has been seen by our operatives using light sort of powers, she is not our main target, but you have to look more into her powers."

"What about the boy?"

"The boy has many qualities for an orb user, but has no orb, I expect that he'll get someone's attention. One of our future tellers tells us he'll be seen using powers in 2023."

"That's 3 years later, your fortune teller did not predict covid, but can predict a nobody's power? Duncan, you must be joking right?"

"No… The one with the title "The Goddess" predicts that one in Tyson's family might be equal or above god level."

Dante gets from under the desk a bag.

"Here is everything you need to start this mission, starting with the identity. I hope you will get this done."

3 years later, in a big mansion in New Orleans, in a huge bedroom there is one blonde adolescent girl sleeping. The house was quiet and the clock was around past lunch. A bang is heard in the whole house, that wakes the girl from her sleep.

She yawns and gets out of bed, she hardly opens her eyes, her eyes are blue like the ocean and her hair is a mess, she was wearing a small sized shirt and a pair of panties. The teen gets dressed in more etiquette clothing, formal attire, she dresses up in a suit, she gets a clock on her hand and combs her hair back to its glory, she then thighs it up at the back of her head, tight. She gets out of the room only to see the mansion was half destroyed. She does not look surprised. She raises her hand and a glowing comes out of her hand, and in a second everything was where it was, the mansion was fixed. A sigh is heard from her. The girl does an 180 and heads for the stairs, she goes down and 2 other children, both boys, no more than 14 are captured by living plants.

"Jon, Richard, what the hell did you guys do today?

The kids stay silent."

"This was my day off from work and you made me work, how wonderful! If I had Chief Dante's power I'll be living in heaven made on earth."

She goes to the kitchen, grabs some snacks and heads to the living room. She sits on the couch, starts the smart tv and scrolls through news on the internet, until something comes up to her interest from W.W.N .

"New York has a hero"

The title itself was meaningless, but what was written in it was, everything was about someone with insane abilities to turn his arms into objects or enhance them with inhuman things.

A recording was also shown on the site, the video confirms the statements and the girl smiles.

"I knew it…"

She grabs her phone and say:

"Duncan", what day is it?

Some noise is heard from the background in the call

"September 16th why?"

"Prediction time."

She then closes the call. Goes to the twins.

"Little bros we are going to New York"
