Thief/Navigator

author: Sorry about this being 2 weeks late. I'm working 2 jobs right now and a co-worker took a vacation. I had to work 2 shifts and a side job for the last 2 weeks. I clocked in about 160-170 hours in 2 weeks from that. Please enjoy the chapter!!

With the new addition, Luffy's crew of 2 became 60+ in an instant. Of course, there are a few conditions to it as well.

1. Buggy's crew is still a separate crew but they'll have 2 instead of 1 flag hoisting on the mast.

2. Main treasures like Artifacts will be kept by Luffy, gold, berries and even Devil Fruits will be kept by the crew that has found them.

"Is that all of it? Just 2?" Buggy reads the "contract" that Luffy made him a sign. "I wanted to be the Pirate King to have freedom in whatever the hell I want. Constricting you to do something that you don't want to do is not my style. The artifact though is a no-brainer. There are weird things in the world that might bring annoyances."

Buggy was a bit speechless. "Hahahahahaha a fine captain indeed, if your face weren't rounded, I would've thought that you were Old Captain's son!" Buggy suddenly laughed as he remembers his old captain that had the same beliefs.

"Buggy, do you know what happened in the void century?" Luffy suddenly asked with a stern face. Buggy just stops and looks at Luffy, "I know a little. There are others (he said "worlds" without sound) out there. And someone came from them." "So you know less than me. Well, let's talk about that in a more private setting next time. For now, let's party with the rest." "Aye, aye captain," Buggy says with a small smile that almost made him look cool if it weren't for his red round nose.

As they were partying Luffy overheard something. It was 3 crew members that were attacked out in the sea. They were attacked by an orange-haired girl. She somehow predicted the weather and escaped from them. Now, she is drinking with them and Buggy was accommodating her and her captain. Luffy's brain started working, 'So she knows navigation. Maybe there is a deal that can be made with her. Let's talk about it tomorrow with her.' Luffy went to the 3 pirates and talked to them about this orange-haired girl.

"Hey, cap!" Luffy turns and sees Zoro with a tankard by his side waving at him. "Drink more! All this booze is wasted you know? Hahahaha!" Zoro is having fun. Just laughing and drinking with people he just met earlier. "I don't drink the booze from here, once we go back to grandline then I'll be able to buy my drink!" Luffy shouts to Zoro. Zoro in turn just raises his drink and said something along the lines of "more for me" and just drinks again. Luffy went and sat where the 3 pirates are seating.

Nami is trying to escape for the past 3 hours. She wanted to excuse herself to the bathroom and run but there was a proper bathroom on the roof. She even tried to say that she wanted to sleep but no one agreed saying that everyone is noisy anyway and she won't be able to and that tonight is a celebration so she should go and party with them. Nami is, officially stuck in a party of almost men and even the 3 women in the group are drinking too much and act like a pirate as well. She wanted to get away as she still has some treasure that she took from the 3 pirates before coming to this island. The worst part? Those 3 pirates are drinking here and apparently belongs to the crew. She is screwed. Nami stole from Buggy, twice in one day.

As Nami contemplates on how to escape, she sees Luffy going to those 3 pirates and talks to them. 'Why did he go to them?' She wanted to eavesdrop but ultimately stopped. She had to escape as a priority. So she did her normal technique, she challenged a few people in a drinking contest. She learned a few techniques from Bellemere in drinking. How to avoid being drunk while drinking. (Don't ask me, Even I wanted to know how.)

She won every single time. By the end, she even beat Zoro, granted he had already drunk 2 or 3 barrels before the contest. After winning against a dozen or so people, the rest of the crew are now also drunk and sleepy. With how everyone currently is, she can now escape.

Nami went down by the side of the building with a rope she found. She can't use the stairs as people were drinking on them too. She made sure that she was unseen or at least the people will not able to register that she is climbing down with a rope.

Nami reached the streets after a few minutes of climbing and running. Before she even reached the gates of the town she heard a voice, "So where are you going this late of the night? It's already 1 A.M."

Nami turns and her face pales. In one of the houses' porch, 3 people were sitting. One wears a black cloak with a straw hat, another one has a white shirt and black pants with 3 katanas to his side and the last one is wearing a striped shirt and baggy pants. It was Luffy, Zoro, and Buggy respectively. 'How are they here? They were supposed to be drunk!'

"Oh, I don't drink cheap stuff, I only drink strong and expensive stuff sold in Grandline." Luffy easily read Nami's face as he answers her thoughts. He continued, "Zoro is a drunk but medicines in Grandline can easily solve that. I just tasked Buggy in watching you, why do you think he was that courteous towards you?". Nami's head is swirling right now. She was in Luffy's palm the entire time, she thought she could've tricked him.

"You are really naive, I already told all of you, this guy was in a division that hunts pirates and criminals. A little girl like you trying to trick a veteran in hunting people is nothing but a dream." Buggy with his smug grin explained this to Nami while pointing at Luffy. Luffy still staring at Nami, "Remember the deal that you wanted earlier? How about I take you on that deal? Let's join forces and help each other out. Join my crew and become my navigator. I heard you can even predict a storm that will form minutes before it actually happens." Luffy deduced that one from speaking with the 3 pirates earlier.

"What about the rest of them?" Nami nervously pointed to the rest of the crew that are drunk on the roof. This time, Buggy laughed with his high pitched cackle. "There are 10 people there that sailed the grandline with me. The lowest bounty on them is 120,000,000. I told them the plan and now, I can freely come with you and let them catch up." Buggy turns to Nami with a raised eyebrow, "I think I told you that earlier while partying? You must've been so drunk you didn't remember." Buggy's smile wasn't a smile, it looked like a beast challenging Nami to go against him. Nami wanted to reply and object but seeing Buggy's smile shut her up.

Luffy smacked both Zoro and Buggy. Zoro because he is already sleeping and Buggy so that he stops intimidating Nami. Luffy looks at Nami and comes closer to her. He raises his hand towards her and says, "Welcome to the Shogo Pirates!" Nami, although reluctantly, joins the crew. 'I'm going to join this crew to steal those rings of his.'

In a small back-up boat of Buggy, the 4 people sail through the night. As Luffy is used to sailing without sleep for a few days, he took the first watch as they sail through the night. He sent the others to sleep. This boat is pretty big and able to put 4 people in and can give them enough comfortability. On the mass is the Shogo Pirates' flag swaying in the wind. Instead of the traditional flag, The Shogo Pirates' flag is black with swirls and white lights. (Imagine the picture of a galaxy or the likes. Then the skull in the middle doesn't have crossbones, but it is colored white, yellow and red. It looks like it is burning and with white lines surrounding it, it looks like it is shining as well.

On the deck, un top of the rails, a man is seen lying down. Even though Luffy took the first watch, he was currently sleeping on the deck. His face is covered by his straw-hat.

From below the deck, a person emerged. With the black cloak that she found inside one of the many carts in the storage area, she slowly crawled out and towards Luffy. She eyed the rings that Luffy wears. There were 2 on each hand but she can only see the 2 that is in his dangling fingers. 'The other two are probably on the other side of the railing, those would be dangerous.' Nami thought as she comes closer to where Luffy is sleeping. 'He might just think that the rings fell down the ocean.'

Nami is now on fours as she is just 2 feet away from her "captain". She reached for his fingers, thinking that her experience of doing this in the past would be enough to take the rings. Suddenly, she felt something sharp ok her neck. She looked up and what she saw made her piss her pants. From under his hat, Luffy is glaring at her with one eye. Eye full of burning fury, literally, Luffy's eye was burning brightly. He looked like a god looking at an ant from above with an angry stare. Nami even felt the heat from it. But what truly made Nami scared is that even Luffy's mouth is shinning the same way as his eye.

"So the thief finally shows her skin?"
