Chapter 9- Evelyn's death

''Luna, take care of your brother, teach him well and help him''

''Mother loves you both but i can't make it. Remember your mission and make mama proud. keep up with your training and don't forget to continue the investigations''

''Never remove the necklace and bracelet from your body''

Evelyn used her feeble hands to search for something from her body.

She took the ring and placed it on her daughter's palm.

''When your brother grows up, please give it him''

she also handed a paper to her daughter before placing a kiss on her children's forehead and breath her last while Luna took the whistle her mother had given her to call for help.

With tears streaming down her eyes, she held her younger brother tightly till a heavy gust of wind swept pass them

An Onyx dragon landed before them as a man appeared.

''Young mistress, you called for help''

''Everyone climb unto the dragon'' she looked at the man who had arrived

''Where is my father?''

''He is battling with King Zira, miss''

''Take my mother and go with the rest. Get another dragon here''

''Yes, young miss''

''Aunt Nia, please once you get back, clean her body and place my mother on her bed, i will come back with the next dragon. Dylan and Carson will follow you as well, please lead them to the guest rooms at home. I will be back''

"Remeber don't do anything to her body apart from cleaning her body up" Hey eyes gleamed dangerously as it held a hint of warning and concern.

''Young miss, the next one is on it's way''

''Hmm, go. use the private jet at the hanger to take them back''

She still held the little boy in her hands as she looked at the dragon fly away leaving her in the dust.

''Brother, mother has given you to me. We will stand together and i will protect you''

she opened the paper in her hands to find what was written in it.

It was the description of the ring given to her brother.

The ring was designed with a jewel that looked like diamond at it's center and it had a 2-way mechanism which was defense and offense.

She used the paper to wrap the wring and put it in her clothes as the dragon appeared before her with another man on it.

''Young miss''

''Let's go'' she said cutting him short of whatever he wanted to say.

----------At Prince Liam side.....

He rushed to look for his father and wife. He got to where he could possibly see his wife only to be stunned by what he heard.

''King Zira, i have played my part by letting you into the castle through the passage so you will need to get me out of here before my husband finds me''

''Mmm, i know''

''Then what do we do?''

''Aren't you worried about your son?''

''No, i was sent here to seduce him, who knew that my mission would lead to me having a child. The child was a mistake on my part''

''What about your sister who is married to the second prince?''

''King Zira am sure you know fully well that we are transformed vampires. We have been changing our internal systems for long and now our bodies are weak. We need to find a way to escape during this period in form of death to avoid any issue in the future''

''What about your husband''

''You can kill him, besides my sister will kill her own husband there, even if they are not in the country for now''

Liam who had been listening to their conversation for long time felt his head go blank .

What happened to the lady he loved.

What about their child?

Everything we shared together, was also false?

Many questions ran through his mind that his knees where about to give out.

Who would have thought that the wife he slept with, cuddle with would be a goddamn forsaken witch.

When he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He turned around only to meet Axel.

''Are you among them too?''

''NO''

''Let's fight them, i will take my wife. you take Zira'' Prince Liam said with a mocking smile on his lips when he mentioned the word ''wife''When the door was opened, the two who were talking subconsciously stared at the door.They were stunned to see the people coming in only to be attacked before they could do anything.

His wife, Abigal was shocked to see her husband but after seeing the disgust present in his eyes meaning that he heard and saw everything, it was of no use to continue with the pretense or what they had planned. Even if she couldn't kill him, it doesn't mean that the poison she had been giving him would not kill him.

They got into a fight but he did not wish to kill his wife, if she could provide information for him on their plans, he might only put her in the dark prison.

''AH'' he clutch his abdomen while staring at his wife.

Prince Axel had chased after KIng zira who had escaped leaving them behind.

''What did you do to me'' there was a trace of panic in his tone accompanied with pain from his abdomen.

''Ha, is that a question?''

''Why not take a guess'' she looked at him with disgust.

''You poisoned me?, when?''

'' HM, let's say, ten years'' with a playful smirk on her face she sat down in a languid manner on the chair while looking at the man whose face was distorting in pain.

''What?'' his face was full of shock before he laughed which was laced with mockery and self-ridicule.

''Did you ever love me? love our child? or did you just treat us as a mission?''

''As a mission, we are the children of fell. We can't do anything against our mission. You don't have to worry for i will bury you well''

''Then why did you give birth to our child'' he spat out through his gritting teeth from pain.

''That's none of your business, you should say your last wishes before dying''

she was shocked by what happened next, she though he was under her control, not knowing that he was burning his life force to kill her. While they were talking, he had already grabbed the sword hilt.

''See you in hell''

He thrust the sword into her heart.
