Chapter 2- Witches orb

Witches Orb

"Mr. Zeres, as my father's personal aide, I wonder what you came here for" she said handing him a cup of tea.

"Princess, you know why am here. Your father needs you to talk to Prince Liam so that he will make sure his father does not ally with the witches. He knows about the power of fell and he wants to stop the witches from laying their hands on it...."

He was cut short by her

"So he wants the power of fell and instead of him to say so, he claims that he want to stop the horde. My father knows nothing about the horde, or anything about the power of fell. I will talk to Liam but he should know his lane else he will be the one to incite destruction"

"Princess, you are speaking about the king and the king is not like that. He found out that the power of fell brings about the horde and he wants to stop that, else it will tilt the balance of power and the witches will oppress us. We found out something" he handed her a paper.

It was too far fetch to call it a paper, more of a sheepskin scroll which was rare in modern days.

"I would do my best. It's late so you should start going" she replied, still looking at the sheepskin

After he left, she looked at the paper and knitted her brows as she murmured under her breath

"Seems like my research was correct, we will need the witches orb for the witch's power." She gave a heavy sigh before she stood up.

Luna who had been eaves dropping the entire time was confused. She had never eaves dropped but her mother has been acting strange by reading a lot of weird books, looking at stars and other stuffs.

Her thoughts were disrupted when she heard the door creaking, she hid behind the vase when her mom came out of the study and stared at the stair case.

"Liam, I can see you... what do you want?"

Luna was confused and thought her mother was saying rubbish till a man on black cloak, jumped the long staircase and arrived at her mom's front. Luckily for her, her mother can't sense her because she had learnt how to conceal herself, especially her heart beat, else her mom would have long since found her.

Even though she was just 10yrs old, she was still better than her peers as she had gone through so many devilish training with her mother...

Her thoughts were disrupted again, when the man laughed as he removed his cloak.

"He he... I forgot I can't hide from you, well since you have seen me, can you at least offer me a sit." He said as he entered the study and she followed him in.

Luna who had been watching moved closer to get a better view.

He sat down lazily on one of the couch in the study, while she sat down on the table as she stared at him while he sipped his tea before she spoke which caused him to drop the tea down.

"Prince Liam to what do I owe this night visit?"

"Enough with the formalities, anyway I stole the witch's orb from your husband the second prince...."

He was cut short when he felt a chill; he looked at her and could see that she was displeased. He did not understand why, the two had already agreed or did he say anything wrong. He apologized before he continued.

Actually, he said nothing wrong but calling the 2nd prince her husband was not something she liked to hear.

"You can come and collect it in three days' time, my place. Come with Luna in case you can't absorb the power, she could at least try." He said before he put on his cloak and left without waiting for an answer.

After he left, she picked up her phone and sent a message

Actually the war was actually a modern war, where humans believe that such type of people don't exist anymore.

The humans only know about our territory but know nothing about us and the fact that the 4 domains are not under the government.

Before, the government had tried to rule us, but we fought back, just like having an enemy when you know nothing about them even having sent various spies so the war was a one sided war.

Since then, the dare not pose a war.

Luna on the other hand was confused at what was going on, why he mentioned her name. She was going to confront her mom. She felt a gaze on her, only to turn to find her father looking at her.

The truth was that her mum was actually married to the 1st prince but on that day her father was to take up the responsibility of being a dragon keeper. He did not know until a day before his wedding so he asked the younger brother to marry her on behalf of him, so now the world thinks my mum is the second prince wife.

It was the same thing that caused my father to lose the position of a crown prince to his younger brother who was married to three wives in order to gain the complete bloodlines which includes; the werewolves, vampires, witches, demons bloodline.

He wasn't able to get any, even after marrying three wives.

Even if my father never got that calling, my father would not be the current king.

His father hates him so much that he caused my father to wait till his favorite son being the second prince gave birth to his last child which is five years older than me.

I don't know why, but I never asked because I figured out that he would be hurt if I do and only us which includes me, my mum and dad stay at the northern wing alone while the palace is at the western wing and the second prince and his family stay at the southern wing, even with those strives, we siblings still play and have fun with each other but my step- grandmother hates me, my mum and dad to the core that she will kill me if she got the chance but she can't because she fears my dad, so she uses my grandfather to execute her will.

Sometimes, I would think that the great king Zira is actually stupid to be controlled by his wife.

"Luna" Prince Axel stood beside his daughter who had a scrunched on face that seems to say she was thinking.

He called her name, since she looked like she was trying to eaves drop again without being caught.

I was jolted back to reality when my father called my name.

"What are you doing downstairs?" he asked as he carried me, climbing upstairs.

"Dad I have a question?" seeing how she tried to divert his attention.
