Break before 1 vs 1
In the end of the calvary match, Todoroki's team managed to get first place like in the original, but Izuku team took the second spot. Each of the trio has something in their mind at the end of the match. Todoroki can't believe that he had to use his left side, Izuku wasn't happy at the effort that he got second place with the training that he got at Mio, and Bakugo who got third place simply raged as usual.
Mio watched as they left and took a break before the 1 vs 1 match begins. As she was about to leave the stadium for lunch, she saw Todoroki going his way to talk Izuku, which gave her an idea.
"Hello Todoroki-san do mind have a little chat?"
Seeing his teacher want a little chat with him, he accepted with his head nodded. As they go to a corner where no one see. She turned her back at him decide to speak about his quirk and father issues that he has.
"Now that no one see, do you mind telling why won't you use your quirk?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm sure you don't want use it for good reason?"
Even though Mio knew why he didn't want use his left side, she had to ask him or else it will become suspicious for him and she want help one of the trio of the group.
"Why is winning so important to you than? I'd get it if you wanted to get first place and be the best, but you strike me as a person who doesn't want to be first place just to be the best? So mind telling me?"
Hearing Mio words, Todoroki look down and trembled slightly before looking at her straight in the eye.
"My father Eadeavor, the number two hero... back in his youth, he made a name for himself during his hero career by firing on all cylinders. He quickly rose through the ranks and stepped over the position of other heroes of his time. He rose so fast that he eventually reached the rank of the number two hero. But it was never enough to outrank a legend like All Might, who was an unmovable wall in his eyes. And because he knew he could never hack it by his own power." The anger in Todoroki voice was starting to come out. "He devised a plan. Since he couldn't become number one with his own power."
"Quirk marriage, I suppose?" Mio said nonetheless.
"Yes." Hearing those word, he grit his teeth in anger. "As a man of means and merit... he easily ingratiated himself to my mother family and took possession of her quirk. All to raise a hero that surpass All Might." His voice started to shake as continued to talk about his past, she decide stop him by doing a little hug to him which surprised him.
"It's ok Todoroki, I understand. But let me help you a little more. Now, I know why you don't use your other side. But don't worry, let me engraved you this in you" She point her index finger to his left. "The left side isn't yours father side. But yours, you may have his blood run through you but you are yourself." Hearing her word, Todoroki became calm as he doesn't know what to said.
As she about to go out of the stadium, she tell one last thing and pull key at out of nowhere "Oh and before I go, can you tell the girls to not trust Mineta and Kaminari words. They're going to do something bad to the girls, and also tell girl to go to the changing room with this and that I'm not going to watch the tournament."
As she left, Todoroki began to listening the word that his sensei just said, could he use his left or not? He doesn't know but he has a feeling that Mio is telling the truth. Right now, he decide to talk to tell the girl and over the key, before going talk to izuku. What he didn't know is that this key will give a run of money for the cheerleaders costume.

After a short intermission, the remaining classes that were still in the competition flooded out onto the courtyard while Present Mic introduced the last event of the festival.
"ALRIGHT, before we get started with the final event, there's good news for those of who dropped out of the preliminaries! It'd be weird if only a couple people were able to compete while the other got to sit back and relax! Therefore we're come up with a couple of recreational activities for you!" Walking onto the field, we're couple of cheerleaders that come from America.
"Just look at how fired up the cheerleaders we hired from American are- Huh?! Wait, what's that?"
"What the hell are they wearing?" Aizawa tired voice sounded out with his mic his hand.
Walking out of the tunnel, are the girls in class 1-A with dark faces on each girl. All of them didn't dress cheerleaders. Oh no, they were wearing bunny outfit which have different color like yellow, red, blue, and many other. Kaminari and Mineta who saw, didn't know what to said but they approved whoever did this them with their thump up.
All the boys in the first year couldn't help but take a closer look at the outfit and have a huge nose bleed.
"I can die in peace."
Todoroki who saw what the girl wearing can't help but also stared at them, while remembering why Mio just gave him the key. While all the girl begging to shout.
"TAKAMIYA-SENSEI!!!"

Outside of the festival
Mio was walking until she head the scream of all the girl. Now she only have one choice use her legs and run "NIGERUNDAYO! SMOKEY!"
But then she looked back at the stadium. "I don't have Smokey as my friend! Damn you Joestar!"
