1 Chapter 1: Artemis

"It's coming!" someone yelled

"Good everyone get ready!" another one yelled

"Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" a voice yelled as it came down on the ground and stood there

"Everyone shoot!"

Then a rain of bullets came at it but they stopped in mid-air and dropped to the ground.

"Shit let's get out of here!" one said as he started running

"We are no match for this thing." another one said as he turned around and started running

"Man, why is everyone always so annoying?"

"It speaks!"

It lifted up its hand and they all went into the air.

"Ahhhhhhh!" they all screamed

"Now, now we still need them." another voice said

"Urg that voice." he let them fall but the guns stayed in the air

"What? Do you have a problem?" the other one said

"Forget it and let's get to work."

"That is what I thought." he said

"What do you want from us!" the soldier yelled

"Calm down, we're not here to hurt you, maybe not that guy. But we are looking for someone." he said as he pointed to the other guy and pulled out a photo

"Well excuse me." he said as he crossed his arms

"Have you seen this man?" as he showed him the photo (a tall man with a suit on and a hat)

"No, I've never seen him in my life."

"Alright, then I have all the information I need."

"Huh really?" the other one asked

"Yes now let's go." he said as he turned around

"Fine."

They both turned around and started walking off.

"Who are you people?"

"That sir is a secret."

"We're going or we're going to sit here all day."

"Have a good day." as they both got into a car and drove off

"Why do we always get the boring jobs?"

"Quit complaining Nice at least you got to do something."

"You know what I really hate about you, it's your annoying voice Mars." Nice said

"Really?" he replied

"Yes!" Nice yelled

"We better stop, we are almost there and you know how she hates us fighting." Mars said

"Fine but we're not done."

They pulled into a back entrance of a building and stopped.

"Well let's go and report to Melody." Mars said as he got out

"Don't tell me what to do." Nice said as he also got out of the car

They both went in but Nice went in a different direction.

"Where are you going?"

"Somewhere."

"Wait where?"

"None of your business." Nice said as he walked away

"Oh well. Might as well report to Melody." as he walked away

He went to a room where a girl was sitting at a desk.

"Oh hey, Mars. Where's Nice?"

"Disappeared like he always does."

"We can't help that. Well, what did you find?"

"Nothing helpful, they didn't know anything Melody."

"Can't give up hope."

"Might have to if we get anything from the higher-ups."

"I really hate them."

Then another person comes up to them and taps Melody's shoulder.

"Lucifer (healing ability) what is it?" as she turned around

"A message from the higher-ups." He whispered in her ear

"Oh, great something from the higher-ups."

With Nice. He walks into an open area with a tree and sits down.

"Everybody is so annoying."

"Nice, what are you doing!" someone yells as he runs over to him

"Just sitting here like always. What are you doing?"

"So how is work going?" as he sat down

"Boring as always, maybe you should come back Kai."

"You know I can't go back, you know why the higher-ups got rid of me from working at Artemis."

"Dumb bitches don't know anything."

"True but it wasn't my call."

Then Nice's phone (which is a flip phone) started to ring and he pulled it out.

"Melody's calling."

"That's rare; she only calls when there is something important."

He answers the phone.

"What do you want?"

"We have new orders so come back to Artemis."

"Alright but I'm bringing someone with me." he said as he hung up

"Who are you bringing?"

"You." as he pointed to him

"But you might get in trouble."

"I will deal with that."

"If you say so, man."

"Well let's get going." as he got up and Kai followed him to Artemis

They went into Artemis.

"Wow, it changed so much more than the last time I was here."

"Not that much changed when you were gone."

"Then again you were here shorter than I was right?"

"I believe it was by three years."

"You joined one year after me."

(how I'm doing this age thing is Kai(current age 19) joined one year before Nice(current age 18) joined which was three years ago which is also the time Mars joined)

"Kai!" a voice said behind them

"That voice it's Mars!" as he turned around

"What are you doing here?" he asked

"I brought him here."

"You really like getting in trouble a lot."

"I guess it's his hobby."

"I'm right here."

"Well anyway come on Kai let's go to Melody."

"Alright fine let's go then."

"Like I'm a ghost."

They went to Melody.

"Hey, Melody, it's great to see you again."

"Kai!" as she ran up to him and hugged him

"Hey, you best be glad I brought him. We might need him here soon."

"Yes but you're still going to get into trouble."

"I don't care."

"If you say so."

"Hey, is my work still here?"

"Yes, it's where you left it."

"Thanks."

"Well, I'm just going to leave now." as Nice turned around and started walking off

"Oh no, you're not, you have another request to do."

"Damn it so close to getting away."

"Well, what is the next one?"

"It is from the higher-ups." Melody said

"Oh them."

"I know you don't like them but oh well." Mars said

"Well here is the order. You are to watch over this man his name is Conner at his party later." As she pulled out a picture

"Why do we have to watch him?" Nice asked

"To make sure nothing happens."

"So we're babysitters."

"No, not really. But here is the place and be careful." Melody said

"Fine." Nice said as he took the paper then gave it to Mars and started walking

"Where are you going?!" Mars yelled

Nice didn't give him a response.

"Leave him be, I think he has something on his mind." Melody said

Lucifer came over to them and whispered into Melody's ear

"What is it?"

With Nice.

"Hey, it's me. I was given another mission it was to protect someone. You know how I am with those. It's very hard to do with my ability, all it is is its destruction. But I try not to use it too much so I can keep people away from me. They'll ask too many questions except for the people at Artemis. But hey it was good talking to you." As he looked down at a gravestone

Then his phone started ringing.

"What do they want now?"

"Hey come on, let's go get our suits."

"I'm coming." As he hung up the phone. "I'll see you again later."

He walked away and met up with Mars.

"So what do you want?"

"Here try this on." As he handed him a suit

"Why do I need to wear this?"

"It's a party and we can't have you walking in wearing that."

"I don't see a problem with it."

"Melody does."

"Fine, give me it so I can go and try it on."

"See you later."

"Where are you going?"

"To meet you at the party."

A few moments later.

"What is taking him so long?" Melody asked

"Don't know." Kai said

"Hey, I hope you didn't wait too long." Nice said as he came down beside them

"Oh, Nice." Melody said. "You look good in a suit."

"I'm surprised that you even know how to put one on."

"One of the mysteries of Nice." Kai said

"Come on." He said

"Alright let's get going." Melody said

"Right." They all said
