Chapter 1.6 (Decision Has Been made)
Jay:uum miss inn keeping could you help me with this?
Sana: hmmm? What is it?
Jay: my sister needs a bath.
Sana: eh?
Sana tilted her head in confusion and leans to the side looking at the bathroom door opened behind the door Elevia blankly staring at the bathtub.
Sana: ah I see what you mean. . . You're not as bad after all.
Jay: hmmm?
Sana: what I mean is your not perverted like the other men!
Sana blushes slightly while jay understood what she meant. After a few minutes sana goes to the bathroom locking the door and giving Elevia a bath. Jay looks around at the waiting room and checks at the world map.
Jay: Alzaroth Alzaroth kingdom here it is looks like it's going to take a very long time until we reach there. "I just brought back Elevia it does looked like she's haven't known her new abilities are it's better if she discovers it rather than telling her that"
Jay goes to the dining area of the inn and sat down on the ordering sausages,eggs and beans.
Jay: oh and some tea too please.
Harlan: got it.
Jay: double it for my little sister too.
Harlan: you sure she's your sister?
Jay: is it because she's a succubus and I'm a human?
Harlan nodded as a reply while cooking breakfast.
Jay: "sure we're not siblings by blood but she's still my younger sister" I adopted her as my little sister I don't care if we're not the same race.
Harlan: heh you got a kind heart there lad.
Harlan patted Jay's head while it's still wet and soapy.
Jay: hey I'm not a plate.
Both of them laughing by the small joke that Jay made. After a few minutes Elevia sat next to Jay now clean with new clothes. Jay smiled and patted Elevia's head while Elevia began to eat breakfast.
Jay: we'll stay here in this village for a bit just for us to spend more time.
Elevia just nodded still continuing eating. Sana panting while he walked close to Harlan while completely wet.
Harlan: hmmmm?
Harlan noticed.
Harlan: you okay sana?
Sana: No it's a full on headache giving her a bath. . .
Harlan: ah I . . . I see . . .
Sana: she moves around so much she's like a cat that doesn't like water.
Harlan: don't worry you'll get used to it. Just like me when you are little.
Sana blushes in embarrassment
Sana: dad!
Harlan laughed including the other customers and Jay. Elevia continues eating without understanding the joke.
A few hours has pass both of them goes to the adventurers guild trying to get a quest from it.
Jay: should we go and find a quest in the board?
Elevia slightly nodded staring at him blankly in an expressionless look. Jay patted her head and smiled calmly.
Jay:"not a single word once again." Let's go then.
Both of them goes to the quest board and looked around. After a few minutes of looking around the board Jay pointed at the brick crabs.
Jay: how about this how do you feel about hunting those brick crabs?
Elevia nodded as a reply while her succubus tail wags slightly. Jay smiled and takes the quest out of the board and put it on the registration table to be accepted.
Jay: me and my sister would like to take this quest.
Yomi: nice to meet you two my name is yomina call me yomi for short. Before I accept it I would like to see your plate rank.
Jay: plate rank?
Yomi noticed and realized by his reaction.
Yomi: by the looks of your reaction it looks like you don't have a adventure plate. A adventure plate will show the adventurer's ranking for example you can take silver rank quest if you have a silver plate. You cannot take a quest higher than your plate rank.
Jay: got it but how can we get our plate?
Yomi put the registration papers on the table.
Yomi: just put your name here your day you registered and sign there. Today's day is day 144 year 56,774.
Jay and Elevia wrote down what she said and they were given their adventurer plates copper for now.
Jay: "sounds like months doesn't exist here I see" thank you miss yomi.
Jay smiled and patted Elevia's head making her tail wags slightly. Yomi chuckled by the both of them. Both Elevia and Jay left the adventures guilds leaving yomi wondering.
Yomi: a succubus and a human siblings? . . .
Yomi sat at her chair and takes a sip at her tea. While Jay and Elevia walk towards the location of their quest hunting for brick crabs at the abandoned house.
Jay: were here Elevia.
Elevia nodded as a reply and Jay sighed from her reaction.
Jay: let's get started then.
Jay kicked the wall launching multiple bricks when one of the brick landed on the ground crab legs came out and begins to run away. Elevia begins to chase it summoning a sword made out of succubus energy.
Jay: "looks like she still remembered what I thought her" if you can't caught it we can't get enough money to eat.
Elevia looks at him and turned back and begins to chase it faster slashing at the fast brick crabs.
Jay: "I guess food works"
Many hours has passed they all manage to capture 13 brick crabs. Begining to walk back to the village.
Jay: hey Elevia if we get back what meal do you want to eat next? "Please talk please talk"
Elevia stares at Jay's eyes with her crimson red eyes. Minutes of staring has passed.
Elevia: I want meat.
Jay: okay then. "YES! Although her voice is weak but it's still OK!!" next time speak often so you can talk better for me to understand okay?
Elevia nodded agreeing with it while jay is trying to stay calm in the process.
Elevia: okay brother.
Jay instantly fall flat on the ground.
Elevia: brother?
Jay: "damn it I'm getting cuteness overload by calling me brother aaaaaaaaaaaah!!"
Jay slowly stood up still trying to hide his excitement. Elevia looks at Jay in a worried expression.
Jay: don't worry I tripped.
Elevia: on what?
Jay: on a rock.
Elevia leaned to the side seeing no rock.
Elevia: there no rock.
Jay: "crap" maybe on a root.
Elevia: how can it be roots when there's no trees around.
Jay: I just tripped okay. . .
Elevia smiled that her brother stayed calm and relaxed in that embarrassing moment even though in Jay's mind he is full on embarrassed by everything.
Elevia: okay big brother.
Jay:"crap you're too adorable!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
Hours has passed now both of them sitting on the dining area of the inn waiting for their meal. Jay patted Elevia's head in the process of waiting Elevia's tail wags more often than before.
Elevia:"I smell tasty meat"
Elevia began to drooling craving for meat Jay noticed and whipped off her drool.
Jay: food will be ready in a couple of minutes can you handle this long of a wait.
Elevia nodded with a smile and lays her head on the table while jay takes out a world map looking at their path to Alzaroth kingdom. After a few minutes sana the inn keeper brought plates of honey roasted meat balls.
Sana: Table 3 where's table number 3?
Elevia instantly stood up and raised her hand excited for the food.
Elevia: here!
Sana: coming right there.
Jay chuckled at Elevia's obsession of food.
Jay: "she really likes food huh"
Sana put the plate of honey roasted meat balls on the table and Elevia started eating. Jay strokes Elevia's head while she eats the honey roasted meat balls.
Sana: you sure all of this is for your sister?
Jay: yep she kinda deserve it since she did all the work.
Sana: you sure you don't want to go get something to eat?
Jay: hmmm how about something to drink like a glass of juice?
Sana: sure I'll go and get some.
Sana walked away going to get a glass of juice. Jay looked back at the world map.
Jay: Elevia.
Elevia: hmmm? What is it?
Jay: before we continue our journey let's stay in this village for a year how about that.
Elevia gave him a quick and straight answer.
Elevia: sure.
Jay: okay that settled that. We'll go to Alzaroth kingdom next year.
Sana got back with 3 glasses of juice and sat next to Elevia. Sana looked excited about their decision.
Sana: "so their staying right?" Both of you are staying right.
Jay: yep for a year.
Sana pass a glass of juice to him Jay grabbed it and takes a sip. Sana spaces out for a second Jay noticed.
Jay: sana?
Sana snapped back.
Sana: ah oh it's nothing it's nothing. "Your hand it's cold."
Sana looked at her hand and smiled slightly why blushes slightly.
Sana: "it's doesn't matter I just finally got to hold your hand"
Harlan noticed them both in the distance and smiled.
Harlan: just like me and your mother when we both first met in the tavern.
Customer: Harlan I need a refill!
Harlan: Kay On It YOUR DRUNK BASTARD!!!
Customer: HECK YEAH!!!
Jay: . . . What's happening over there?
Sana: don't mind them they are always like this.
