'I am a person who holds grudges when people touch my bottom line. However, I never imagined that someone so close to me would betray me. Despite my belief that blood was stronger than water, this man destroyed our family for a woman who merely wept in his arms.'

Standing silently on a dead body, a woman lamented her foolishness for dying in an ambush. A bitter smile was looming as she shook her head in despair. She had not anticipated that her brother would feed her to the wandering zombies in exchange for protecting his unworthy lover.

'I used to be a princess standing at the top of the food chain. But it's hard to accept that I lost everything when I woke up, feeling like my brother lost his head and became mentally retarted. It's not a nice word to describe him, but it would disgust me to call him a man in love.'

Acceber could still remember how much her brother sacrificed to make his lover happy. But his woman had other plans in life. She wanted to lure so many men at once and create her desired harem. She was even letting other people's lives be at stake so that they could serve her wholeheartedly and protect her from the dangers of the apocalypse.

'Damn! I feel like I'm reading a useless sweet pet article where the heroine defies the world and collects everyone of use to her through her innocent-looking charms. It would be an insult to compare her to the devil! She's clearly insane! But damn, she had the ability to fit everyone inside of her without tearing her parts, I assume.'

Acceber shook her head, feeling regretful that her parents gave birth to a brainless brother for her. 'What should I do now that I'm free? Should I travel the world and take a break? I doubt anyone would still look for my dead body. I don't regret leaving this place anyway.'

A solid golden light enveloped her body. One could describe her as a victim who met an unjust end. At first, she felt strange being surrounded by such warmth, but gradually, she lost consciousness.

'I guess this is a better end after all!'

- Year 2051 -

Acceber woke up in a room unfamiliar to her. Darkness engulfed the place with an eerie feeling. Memories that do not belong to her flashed before her eyes. She struggled to accept the idea of resurrecting herself in someone else's body.

'How could I live again?'

Her body felt better as she slowly got out of bed. With the memories she regained from the original owner, she quickly found the switch in the room. The blaring lights almost blinded her.

'I am living in such a grand room? I haven't even experienced this kind of living conditions in my last life, even when I used to be the daughter of the richest man in City A. This body's identity should be unusual. Sadly, there were missing parts in her memory.'

Acceber searched for a phone, and she luckily found one. 'Hmm, her name is Nicoletta. Uh, this picture. It can't be!'

She rushed to the bathroom to find a mirror.

'Holy shit!'

She touched and pinched her face a few times before believing that she looked similar to the body she was occupying. If not for the difference in height and the color of Nicoletta's natural hair and eyes, she would believe it was still her original body.

'Did I have a twin that I did not know of? How could dad not find out about this matter?'

Acceber suddenly saw the digital calendar on the wall. It was still a year earlier than the start of the apocalypse. In her last life, she traveled with some of her friends abroad, accompanied by her brother.

'Since I occupied this body, I should first explore her identity and the secret in her status. I think, I can save my parents if I gain powers and prepare before the apocalypse starts next year. But I don't know if I should be thankful that Nicoletta is an orphan who joined the business industry or be sad because she was all alone.'

Acceber decided to take a bath and change into some comfortable clothes. She thought a year was not too long to prepare for the coming of the world's end. When she looked for news online, she accidentally saw a rare notice.

- The eldest lady of the Yin Family, a college student, went missing after rolling downhill. -

She was currently residing in City M. A few days ago, a group of college students were caught in an accident. Acceber could not even remember what she wore that day, but in her last life, no accident occurred to her and her friends on their trip to the top of the mountain.

'How did my body go missing? Is this the butterfly effect of my rebirth? Or was this a given chance to recognize my parents? I should search for my body first, to confirm if it truly vanished on that site coincidentally.'

It did not take long for Acceber to learn the ins and outs of her new identity.

'I can't believe that Nicoletta owned a massive jade company. In the last life, everyone would search for special jade jewelries or raw stones, to try if they can be converted into a space. Space power users are one in a million, and they can carry a lot of materials with them.'

Acceber cautiously went to Nicoletta's safe and checked how much wealth she had accumulated. But what she saw inside were things beyond her imagination. Her jaw dropped, but this did not affect her excitement.

'She was very rich! Since I am now living as Nicoletta, I should not treat myself badly. I will be healthy and grow of old age! It doesn't matter if the apocalypse comes to an end or not. I will live like the two of us are one.'

Acceber took her time and collected a good amount of blood from her body. She gathered all of the things with jade and dropped blood on them. But she was not expecting that she would collapse on the cold floor.
