1 Late Again

Spencer, wake up you will be late for school again! ″ Mum shouted coming into his room. " Five more minutes mum" I groaned, pulling the blanket over his head.

"what do you mean 5 more minutes? It's late" she said, pulling the blanket away.

"What's the time? "

"9:30 school started an hour ago. " She said.

"What!"

"Better hurry up" she jeered.

He jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed, shoved some toast in his mouth and got out the door, and started running down the streets.

While somewhere in an alley a guy with white hair wearing a white jumpsuit covered in blood was sitting on a garbage can checking his phone which had a map on the screen and the name Spencer Rain was moving some blocks away, he slid the phone into his pocket because he didn't need his phone to confirm that Spencer was coming this way because he had seen him pass this alley at least every weekday he quickly got out a big black leather bag and started getting out some clothes as he didn't want to frighten his friend - his only friend.

Back some blocks away Spencer was running as fast as he could as he was passing the alley he always passed when someone, grabbed him from the collar of his uniform and pushed him to the wall pinning him to the wall.

He tried to push the attacker away but he was too strong. Spencer looked up at the attacker to give a good punch to his teeth but paused when he saw him winking at him grinning.

"Shane!" Spencer shouted excitedly at his old buddy.

Shane, a tall thin man with white dirty hair, red eyes, and no surname whatsoever greeted his friend with a smile.

"Where have you been?" Spencer asked.

" Here and there," Shane said in a casual tone "Around and about.

"You never tell me where you are going," Spencer said.

"Well it's not like you need to know where I am going"

Spencer scowled at him.

"Well I can't stay here with you any longer I have school today so…."

"You go to school at this hour?" he said tilting his head.

"I woke up late today so."

"Tch-wanna give you a ride?"

"A ride?"

" Well this ride will be a little different," he said turning his back to me and bending his knees. " climb on"

5 minutes later he was jumping across buildings and walls with me on his back.

" So 'this' is your ride," I said enjoying the 'ride'.

"You like it ?"

"I love it, do you always travel like this!"

" Yes, it's fun but not when you are alone"

" Why, don't your friends travel with you anymore?"

"My friends?"

"I remembered you saying that you always travel with them," I said remembering his last visit when I asked if he travel alone which was last month.

"ah!, yeah well…look they aren't that-that interesting to talk to and they have other business somewhere else because our boss wanted me to do some private work for him which I am not supposed to mention to anyone-"

"Then why tell me?" I said smirking he got awfully quiet after that.

" You know I could see that you have a lot of problems maybe I could help you with your private work but not now maybe tomorrow-tomorrow night what do you think?"

"No it's fine…..anyways-er here we are "

"Thanks for -wait how do you know this is my school?" I said when we were both standing at the bottom of the stairs to the entrance.

" Do you want me to pick you up after school?" He said ignoring my question.

" no, it's fine''

''ok then, I will be going then.....bye!''

''Wait when will we meet again?''

''It might take some time for me to come back...maybe two months,'' he said with a thin smile.

''TWO MONTHS!''

''Yeah well you better go now bye''

''bye...'' I said as I watched him jump from building to building and started to make it to the big iron gates at the entrance of the school.
