"FIRE!!!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A thunderous sound of gun and bomb resounded.

"Continue firing until the walls fall!"

"The walls have fallen! Charged! For the Empire! For the Emperor! Charged!!!"

"CHARGED!!!"

Then the voices of men echoed while they charged towards the broken wall of the castle.

Human blood and flesh were scattered throughout the battlefield.

"What the hell? Where am I?! Wait, is this a battlefield?!"

While all of this was happening, Oli was standing at the far back of the charging army.

He was wearing a white military uniform, the Service Dress White.

"My Emperor, the wall has been breached! It is only a matter of time before the capital of the Cre– Empire falls into our hands! I think it was better to prepare for your victory march!"

Then their attention to Oli changes towards a man that was currently kneeling in front of him. The man was wearing an Army Blue uniform, a typical uniform of Generals in the army. While the man was kneeling, Oli noticed the medals dangling and hanging on his left chest.

"M-march? W-wait, where are we?" Oli asked.

"Imperial Majesty? Are you okay?"

Then Oli heard a firm yet beautiful voice of a woman from his left side. Like him, the woman was also wearing a white female counterpart of his uniform.

"Maybe, His Imperial Majesty was not feeling well."

From his right side, another voice of a woman was heard. She was the same as the woman on his left side.

Oli tried to look at their faces, but he couldn't. Their faces were blurry, and Oli couldn't take a proper look at the two.

Then…

Briingggg! Bringggg!

A loud sound was heard throughout the entire area.

Suddenly, Oli felt an intense pain in his head! It causes him to kneel on the ground!

Briingggg! Bringggg!

"Your Imperial Majesty?!"

"Husband?!"

"Argh!!"

Oli gritted his teeth as he endured the pain, but he heard the concerned voice of the people around him.

"Call a medic! Faster! Call a medic!"

Briingggg! Bringggg!

"Husband?! What happened?!"

Briingggg! Bringggg!

"ARGH!!!"

Oli suddenly opened his eyes and quickly stood up, but he felt intense pain in his head, which is why he lay down again.

"Hangover…" Oli said as he held his head.

Only then did Oli remember that his previous 'friends' that were now successful in their profession, invited him to drink. But it turned out that he just became a subject of mockery in the group. Oli couldn't fight nor reply to them because what they were saying was all true.

Briingggg! Bringggg!

Oli reached the alarm clock to stop it from ringing, and when it stopped, he slowly sat up while still holding his head.

"Maybe because it's been a while since I drank alcohol."

His eyes widened when he looked at the current time.

"Shit! It's 10:35! I got an interview at 11:00! Gah!"

Oli stormed into the bathroom to take a bath, but...

"There's no water?! Shit! Forget about taking a bath."

"I-I didn't wash my suit."

"I'm doomed."

***

"We'll just call you."

Again. Oli received these words again. He could not count how many times he had heard these words.

"Sigh. As always, same as usual. Forget it. Let's just apply to another company."

Oli mumbled while he was walking on the streets. Then he noticed that everyone he came across, if not avoiding, was covering their nose.

Sniff...

Oli smelled himself, and he smelled like yesterday.

'Maybe this is the reason why they didn't hire me.'

Oli thought, then he decided that he was just going home.

Oli is a twenty-two years old fresh university graduate. He grew up in an average family, and Oli had the 'worst performance' among his siblings. To make it easy to understand, Oli's family considered him the black sheep in their family.

That's why, when he got accepted and graduated from the university, his family members considered it a once-in-a-lifetime miracle. But even if that was the case, his position hasn't changed.

"Sighed…"

Oli took a deep breath upon entering his run-down room. And on his hands were a bunch of unpaid bills.

"Water Bill Disconnection…"

Oli read one of the bills. That explains why there's no water. Oli put the bills on the table. He took off his suit and put on a shirt and boxer shorts.

There's nothing he could do about his water bill, so he just played on his phone. One of the things that Oli could be proud of he is a monster when it comes to military strategy games. He sits on the number spot on the leaderboards of the current top-grossing game at this moment, the age of wars.

A game where building, collecting and stealing resources from other players was a daily routine. A game where the only goal is to conquer other kingdoms.

Oli was so focused and indulged in the game that he forgot the time. He only stopped playing when his stomach growled at him.

He immediately exited his game and took his wallet, but he frowned when he saw that his wallet was empty.

"Where's my cash? I-I don't remember buying something…Did someone steal it? Nah, it's impossible. If I had been robbed, they would have taken my entire wallet. Then, where the heck is my cash?!"

Oli started to look at the pockets of his pants and suit. When he didn't find anything, he began to shake off his pants, and something dropped from his pants.

Oli crouched down and looked at what was it.

"Huh? Ring? I don't have a girlfriend to propose to, so why the hell did I get a ring? This surely can't be an engagement ring because of its appearance--."

Oli couldn't continue speaking when he finally remembered where he spent his cash.

"Hik! Those fucking bastards! Hik! They just invited me to mock and brush on my face their successful lives and beautiful girlfriend?! Hik!

Fuck them! Hik! I could also become like them! Nah! I could surpass them if... If... If I...

If I could just find what I want to be...

I can't surpass them. Maybe my family was right. I was good for nothing. It was just a miracle that I got accepted and graduated from a university. But that's it! I was still the same as before, a loser."

Oli dropped his shoulders as he said those words. A tear was about to fall from his eyes but,

"Young man, do you want to buy my ring?'

"Eh?"

The only words Oli said when his musing got disrupted. He looked at the one who spoke. He saw an old beggar.

"Do you wanna buy my ring?" The beggar repeated.

"Hik! N-no! I'm sorry. I don't." Oli replied, then he continued to walk and ignored the beggar.

"Come on! I'm sure you would like this ring!"

"So? You going to buy it?"

"You can use it! Wear it on your finger and ta-da! You have an accessory!"

"Now? Did you change your mind? I'm sure you do!"

"Come on… This ring would change your whole life!"

Oli was now under the influence of alcohol, so his capability to think straight was not a hundred percent. The same goes for his patience.

"Gah! Yes, I will buy it! Just fucking stopped nagging! Fuck! I just want to walk home peacefully and quietly! Damn! Here! Take this money and do what you want to do! Fuck it!"

Oli blurted out, then he took out his wallet and took the money on it, giving it to the beggar while also taking the old ring from the beggar's palm.

"Yes! Thank you! I could now buy food! You made the right choice in buying that ring for me. Good luck!"

The old beggar said, then immediately ran towards Oli's opposite direction.

"Damn..."

Then he returned his wallet and put the old ring in his pocket.

"What did I just buy?"

Oli sank his shoulders when he remembered what transpired yesterday night.

"GAHHHH!!!! MY MONEYYYY!!!!"

Oli shouted at the top of his lungs.

Before Oli became crazy, his phone rang stopping it from happening. Without having much thought of it, he took his phone and read whatever notification he got.

But Oli immediately smiled when he read the message.

The moment Oli got accepted at the university, he decided that it was time to move out away from his home. And the other reason is his own family. He became independent at the age of eighteen. But studying while working was a real deal. Oli struggled to maintain the two of them.

And here comes his savior. Yes, his family considered him a black sheep but not all of them.

If there was a member of his family that truly loved and was concerned about his well-being, it was his grandmother. It was his grandmother who helped him behind the scenes if he was struggling financially. Thanks to his grandmother, he continues to strive forward.

It was his grandmother who hammered all the principles Oli have right now.

Oli read the message from his grandmother and a notification from the bank.

Oli just shook his head. He doesn't know why, but the timing of his grandmother was always exact and on time. Reh carelessly threw the ring in his room and began to find some clothes. He will go outside to purchase some food.

But while doing that, Oli noticed something in his room. The lights were off, but there was a light illuminating his room. A green light, to be exact. And this green light was coming from his back.

He slowly turned his head only to be bewildered at the unusual and weird sight in front of him.

"W-what the hell is this?"
