43 Claire the new director?

"No way," Abi said as she looked at me.

"No, fucking way!" Abi yelled as she blinked. "Why the heck are you here?"

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I spoke casually because it was pretty clear that she was the one scared.

"Please don't tell Andra about this!" she pleaded as she got off her chair.

I wanted to tease her more, but Jonah, who was talking to the people on the crew, finally came back to where Abi and I were talking.

"Oh, yes, Max, this is Abi, and Abi this Max who'll be you partner for this shoot." Jonah said with a smile, not knowing what info she had just revealed.

"Partner?" Abi asked in disbelief.

"Yes?" Jonah said, as she raised an eyebrow.

"Aren't you Andra's colleague?" Abi muttered while trying to piece together the story.

I think i would have weaseled my way out by saying that Andra and I were colleague at my other job and this was just a part-time gig, but.

"You know Alexandra and Max?" Jonah asked casually.

Although I had no idea about how much info Alexandra was willing to reveal, but it was quite obvious that it would have been better if none gets revealed, so I covered it up with a smooth lie.

"Yeah, yeah she does!" I replied before Abi could speak, "Abi, keep this a secret but Alexandra works as a part-time script writer here."

"What?"

"What?"

Abi and Jonah said at the same time.

Jonah looked at me with a confused look while Abi looked away in thought and disbelief.

Meanwhile, I winked at Jonah, hinting to her to just go along with me. Gladly, she understood.

"That is surprising, that goody two shoes writing porn," Abi said after taking a while to process the info. "But it does make a lot of sense. It explains why the script is so shit."

I was pretty eager to quickly change the subject now, "So Abi, how long have you been doing this?"

She ran her hand through her hair, and replied after looking up into the sky as if trying to remember something, "I was doing Konly Fans for the past two years, and then I got scouted by these guys, so here I am?"

Konly Fans? If she could survive only on Konly Fans for two whole years, that could mean she has built an audience on it, a fan base. That fan base could be quite useful. Although I guess those fans are probably into small tits.

But, if she decided to move here, it could only mean that her Konly fans failed, or she was successful enough for a studio to eye her.

I had just racked my brain way too hard for the simplest question that i just needed to ask her.

"So why did you join the studio, then?" I asked Abi, quite curiously.

"Ugh, my Konly fans has stopped growing, heck it is declining, i tried handing out free content but nothing seems to work so i just decided to do a job here and try to get back into business" Abi explained her dilemma.

Claire, who was running around the set, directing where the lights go and their intensity, finally came back.

"Alright guys, enough chitchat. Can we start now?" Claire asked in a bossy tone.

"We have to wait for the director." Jonah said as she looked at her phone's screen.

"What kind of director comes late!" Claire said as she clenched her fists.

Damn, she gets really 'passionate' about this stuff.

After a while, a pretty fat man with a beard and glasses walked in.

But the second he looked at Claire, he turned around and pulled his phone and put it next to his ear.

The next second, Jonah's phone rings and she picks up.

"Yeah? The situation's mostly out of my hand." Jonah pauses and then continues, "You have no choice and neither do I, so let's just get this over with." Jonah ended the call and so did the fat man..

He turned around and walked right to us, acting like we had no idea what they just talked about.

"Hey Jonah, Hey Claire, and you must be our actors." The fat man said as he offered his hand for a handshake, but the second I raised my hand to shake his hand, he pulled his hand back. "Anyway, Claire, I know you have a lot of talent, so I'll let you have this."

He paused, walked back and then announced to the crew, "Come on, people, get ready. We'll shoot the sex first. Claire will direct the rest, so make sure to follow her, alright?"

Wait? we jump start from sex?
