Love and hate

That was the first and the last time Linda had a conversation about Jackson with Sheryl. She was quite surprised that after so many years Sheryl remembered the conversation and brought it up now.

 Suddenly, Linda's heart was beating rapidly as she was going to meet Jackson after so many years. The last time she actually saw Jackson was when he had to shift to Europe after high school. He had received a scholarship from one of the top most universities in France and that was the last time she saw him. Linda used to often think about Jackson but soon he was just a chapter of the past.

 But now yet again the past chapter was going to be re-read in her life. But….even now she knew that Jackson was an extremely handsome man. She had been following all his movies and he was only getting handsome day by day, movie by movie. He had become the top most actor of Hollywood and was minting money like crazy. He was also declared as one of the  strongest and the most influential men in entire world.

"What a life. Men involved in my life are so influential and at the top of their professions. One is my husband who is the most influential lawyer of the world while the other is my crush the most influential Hollywood actor. And look at me….." Linda turned to look at herself in the mirror and let out a deep sad sigh.

 They were tear stains on her face and her hair were extremely messy. The lipstick that she had put on had completely smashed as she had been crying constantly. "What if I do not win tomorrow's case? What will I even do at the ball party where all the Hollywood celebrities gorgeous girls are going to arrive. Nobody will even look at me!"

Linda was at the top notch level of depression and she took deep breaths, yet again trying to read the document in front of her. This day also, till 3:00 AM the girl was simply working extremely hard for the case along with her team and finally at around 4:00 AM did she reach her home.

To her relief, her mother had already slept and she instantly tip- toed towards her room and lied down flat on the bed. She did not even realise when she slept and woke up straight at 8:00 AM in the morning. Linda had not been getting complete sleep and she knew that she was going to look extremely horrible at the ball party.

It was already 10:00 AM and Linda was yet again sitting in front of her IPad looking at the court proceedings. After another one hour of a hot discussion between the 2 parties finally the judgement came in Linda's favour. Suddenly the girl's mood was uplifted and she smiled victoriously looking at Austin's frustrated face. This was finally the 3rd case that she had one against Austin and the girl felt extreme amount of relief.

 Soon the entire company was congratulating each other and Linda was extremely elated. "Congratulations everyone. Today I will give you all a half day and you can leave at 2:00 PM. Happy weekend to you all and we shall now meet on Monday."

Linda smiled happily and at 2:00 PM she drove back to her house, really wanting to rock her look at the ball party. Her mother was already ready to go somewhere and she is simply hugged the lady tightly and then climbed up the stairs. "Mother, do not wake me up before 4 pm as I am really wanting some beauty sleep."

 Without even having her lunch the girl simply wanted to doze off to sleep and get some beauty sleep before the ball party and Sana simply nodded her head in much surprise.

 Linda's mother knew that Linda was not in right mood from the day she came to her house, so she forbid from saying anything else to her. Even though she was an irritating woman but nevertheless she loved her daughter so much.

Linda woke up at 4:30 and then climbed down the stairs, feeling much refreshed. Her mother was setting up the table with her own hands and Linda was actually very surprised. "What are you doing mother? Where are the servants?"

" I thought, I shall prepare the lunch for you today with my own hands. Good you got up. I was about to wake you up…..Here… I prepared ravioli and meatballs for you. Remember you used to love them as a kid?" Sana was dressed in a simple white coloured robe and her hair tide her hair in a neat bun.

 Linda was rather surprised looking at her mother and then her gaze fell upon the ravioli and meatballs placed neatly on the table along with a delicious looking soup and some salad. "But mother, why did you have to work so hard for me?"

Sana let out a deep sigh and then looked at Linda. "I know sweetheart that we do not agree on so many things. I know that you find me extremely irritating but trust me on one thing that I really love you. You may find me selfish or impulsive but I am your mother. I am always there for you." The lady smiled and a teardrop down from Linda's eye.

This was her relationship with her mother. At times it was complete love and at times it was complete hatred.

 Linda rushed down the stairs and hugged Sana for a very long time kissing on her cheek. "I have no doubts about you loving me. But yes we do have difference of opinion which is I think common in every household." Linda smiled planting another kiss on her mother's cheek. "Come, I know you also must not have eaten anything."

Linda smiled and then maid her mother sit close to her. They both were now happily eating delicious meatballs and ravioli talking to each other.

 "I know Linda, that you are extremely depressed about something and you do not want to tell it to me. But, remember that I'm always there for you. Whenever you need me or whenever you need a shoulder, your mother is always there for you." The lady smiled, gently patting Linda's shoulder.

 Linda was yet not prepared to share anything with her mother and she simply smiled and nodded her head. "I will tell you everything mother. But first these 20 days are extremely crucial for me. Let me work extremely hard and then I will tell you what happened. Till then just be my support and do not tell Austin that I am going to work. That is all I want from you."

 Linda smiled taking another bite of the ravioli when suddenly her phone buzzed. She suddenly stopped chewing the meatballs when she realised that it was Austin himself who was calling her.

 With shivering hands she picked up the phone, clearing her throat to produce a fake happy sound. "Hello sweetheart! I was wondering where have you been so busy." Linda spoke in a husky and seductive tone and Austin was carefully listening to her.

"Hi sweetheart. Work has been really keeping me busy. How are you? Where have you been?" He spoke in a rather serious tone as if he was testing her.
