Chapter 7: Bond and Band

Hey guys, there was someone who asked me for some pics so I decided to post some of them at the end of this chapter (if there's none then you came too soon. I would have to do it after posting the chapter)

After buying everything we wanted, we asked the shop to send them to your respective room/house and went to the Palette cafe to take a breather.

"Yuu, did you really need to buy that much?" Shiho asked.

"Well yeah. I always wanted to try them but my mom always limited my spending so I could only buy a few of them."

"Well, it was her money in the first place and maybe she didn't want to spoil you."

"As if! I could have made my own money anytime but she didn't want to because it would take my time and she wanted me to spend more time with her. It was also the same for the instruments, she didn't want me to spend too much time on them so that I could have more time for her."

"Uwah! That's surprising for someone who's rumored to be so cold and scary!" Said Saki.

"Well, that's when she's in business mode. When she's with her loved ones, she become a caring person. And she also loves to spoil her children, especially me, her only son. Well, that could also be annoying some time."

"*Sigh* that actually reminds me my big sister."

"Oh, so Shiho has a sister? Is she on this school too?"

"Yeah, from what I remembered, she should have enrolled in the B class in the same year as us."

"Same year?"

"Well, she's my half sister and she's older by only a month. Her mother is my father's official wife while mine live with them as a concubine."

Oh, that's something new. From what I remember from the wikis, they should be full sisters in the game and her sister Shizuku was a year older.

"Class B huh, I think Onii-chan is also in the same class!" Said Saki.

Since Leo/need is in our class, it's highly probable that MORE MORE JUMP! and Wonderland x Showtime members are also in the class B. And judging from that, there's a possibility that Nightchord at 25:00 is in the class A while Vivid BAD SQUAD is in the class C.

"*Sigh* well at least you didn't have to endure what I had to. When I was a child, my mom didn't allow me to cut my hair as I wanted, she wanted me to have long hair so that she could style them as she wanted. She, along with my sisters, loved to dress me as a girl from time to time while calling me Yuuna and even taught me about girls' fashion. That was really hellish."

"Pfff hahahaha, you should've been cute at that time." Shiho laughed and teased me. I can also see Hoshino laughing lightly. But well, since those events, I don't really like being called cute.

"Oh! I'd like to see that! Hey, do you have a picture or something like that?"

"*Sigh* Tenma-san…"

"Ah, stop that! We're friends now so just use my first name."

"Then, I'll call you Saki then."

"Yeah! That's it, Yuu-chan!"

"Hey! Don't use "chan" on my name!"

This girl, is she trying to get on my nerves? And the other two are actually laughing at our interaction.

"Anyway, Saki, just stop using the "chan"."

"Noooope! I've already decided to call you Yuu-chan!" *Sigh* look like I have bear with it.

"Well, you can also call me Ichika, Y-Yuu-kun."

"Ichika huh? Well, there is also the other Ichika that I call Ichika so it could be confusing of I call both of you Ichika."

"Um, you're talking about Nakano Ichika aren't you."

"Now that I think about it, it's also the same for me." Apparently, Shiho didn't really think about it.

"Then, then let's just call her Icchan, just like me!"

"Haaa! There's no way I'll call her like that!" Surprisingly, Shiho actually raised her voice.

"Well, I think that's a little too much for me. Let's see, ah! Why don't we call her Hoshi-chan then?"

"Ah! That also sounds good! Maybe I should also call her Hoshi-chan from now on? Nah, Icchan is still better."

"Hoshi, I'll call you Hoshi then."

With such a lighthearted atmosphere, we ordered some cakes and parfaits. Apparently, getting a sweet tooth is one of the side effects of the miracle power as fairy type Pokemon also love sweets.

Now that Shiho doesn't look that distant anymore, I think this is the best time to bring up the topic.

"Hey, could you tell me why your relationship were so awkward?" As I said that, the atmosphere became heavier. But I could also some curiosities in Saki and Hoshi-chan.

"Hey, Shiho-chan, what happened when I was on the hospital?"

"*Sigh* well, right after we ended up in different classes, my classmates kept saying "let's have lunch together" "let's go home together". Since I don't like to act as a group other than with my friends, so I always said no. Because of that, my classmates started to avoid me.

"That itself was fine, it was easier if they left me alone. But one day, they have noticed that I was hanging out with Ichika an-, I mean, Hoshi and Honami. They started to say a lot of bad things about you behind my back, and I was arguing back before I knew it. Then they kept saying more stuff.

"I don't mind about me, but all of you being badmouthed because of me… I couldn't stand that."

"So that's why you always wanted to be alone." Remarked Saki.

"Yeah…"

"Shiho, if you told me…"

"If I told you, you would've come to see me. Then it would've become worse. That's why…"

"Thank goodness, you haven't changed, after all. You cared about Icchan and us, so you held yourself back."

Hearing Saki saying that, Shiho just released a sigh full of emotions.

"Shiho… no matter who says what, I want to be friends with you." Said Hoshi-chan.

"*Sigh* I knew it would turn out like this."

"Huh?"

"Look like you have made your choice. But…now, I've warned you now. I… don't care anymore." Shiho said a little exasperatedly, but there was also a little smile on her face.

Hearing her saying that, the other two were surprised.

"Shiho-chan, does that mean…"

"Let's go back to how we used to be!" She said with smile.

"Yes. Shiho, I've always wanted to." Replied Hoshi-chan.

"Alright, ALRIGHT!!! Icchan, we can now hand out with Shiho-chan from now on!"

"Yeah!"

Seeing them like that, I couldn't help but smile. Thankfully they were girls. I wouldn't like to see some guys showing a scene like that.

"Hey, Icchan, Shiho-chan, do you remember our dream when we were in middle school?"

"You mean meaning a band together and participating in the Pokemon musicals?" Asked Hoshi-chan.

"Yes, why don't we do it? With Hona-chan as a drummer, we would have the minimum required number for it."

"Then, count me in!" Said Hoshi-chan with a smile.

"Well, I don't really mind about that. But you'll have to talk with Honami first. Also, I need you to be serious."

"YES!!!! With that, the three of us are now are bandmates! By the way, Yuu-chan, thank you for helping us to get back together!"

"Well, I only did it for this awkward friend of mine."I said while pointing at Shiho.

"The heck are you saying!" She pouted whole blushing a little.

"Ehehe, and now we've also become friends. Even so, thank you Yuu-chan! Ah, by the way, why don't you join us as the fifth member Yuu-chan? You also love music aren't you?"

"Well, as long as it don't interfer with my plans then I can join you. You see, I've planned to take the challenge for the champion seat after high school but I should also have some time for the Pokemon musicals."

As I said that the three of them looked happy. I never though I would join Leo/need one day but since I've always liked them, I'll just take the ride.

"Then, to celebrate, let's have our first band practice."

"Hey, Saki, who the hell would have a practice for a celebration? *Sigh* then again, I'd also like to try playing with you. Wait, where should we do it?"

"In that case, let's go to my house. I've already finished remodeling it and there's a music room there so let's just go there."

Saki and Hoshi-chan were surprised knowing I had bought a house so I explained them that I made money in the pawn shop the first day and bought it. That's also where all the money I used to buy all the instruments came from.

After paying out bill, I led them to my house. Reaching out destination, they were left agape when they saw it.

"Girls, welcome to my humble house!"

"What the heck! Yuu, this isn't a house. This is a freaking mansion!!!"

Shiho couldn't help but retort what I said. The "house" was actually a three story mansion with more than 50 rooms. I seriously wondered why something like this was on the school grounds.

"Hey, Yuu-chan, how much points did you get and how much did this cost?"

"Well, I got one billion of points by selling something and the mansion costed only 50 millions."

They were left speechless hearing what I said.

"Only 50 millions… ONLY? *Sigh* is that the common sense for rich people?" Shiho couldn't help but ask.

"Well let's not waste time with that. Let's enter." I urged them.

"I'm back!" I said as I entered the mansion.

"Gardevoir!" My shiny Gardevoir, Lina, came to welcome us. I then released the Pokemon I had with me, which were Miyabi, my Mawile, Milly, my Wigglytuff, Hime, my Diancie, and Mana, my Eevee. My other Pokemons should be in their rooms or playing somewhere in the mansion.

"The music room is over there, follow me. Hime, come with us." The girls were looking around in wonder so I asked them to follow me. Hime is surprisingly a rock fan and loves playing drums the most. Coincidentally, she's also a rock type.

Once we were there, they were in awe seeing so many instruments already arranged in the room. They were sent here by the shop when we're in the cage and I've asked Lina to arrange them for me using telepathy.

"Since I also bought the same modeled as the ones you bought yourselves, let's use them for now and let you familiarize with them. Hime you'll take the role of the for now."

Hoshi-chan took the Fender Telecaster, Shiho, the Fender American Elite Jazz Bass and Saki took the Korg Kross. I also took a Glarry GST-E rosewood fingerboard guitar while Hime chose a Yamaha drum kits. We then first started to familiarize with the instruments.

"Well, since you managed to get the basics, let's see how good you are." I said.

"Hoh! Is that a challenge? I'm in. Which song would we play?" Asked Shiho. I just smiled, didn't say anything and started to play a melody.

"Hey, that melody, isn't that Pachelbel's Canon?" Asked Saki.

"I think it's the rock arrangement by Jerry C, Canon Rock." Replied Shiho.

As I played the melody, Shiho and Hime were the first ones to join me, followed by Saki and finally Hoshi-chan. Shiho seemed experienced, I remember she should have some experiences playing with other people. For Saki, since the synth is actually set with a piano timbre, along with her familiarity with the Canon melody, she could easily play at our level. Hoshi-chan was still a beginner who could only play chords and simple melodies but since Canon is easy to play, she could keep up, but didn't synchronized that well.

Once finished, I noticed that Hoshi-chan's level is still too low to play in a band while Saki, while having a good level with piano, still have a lot to learn so I started to teach them what they need to know. All in all, we had a lot of fun.

In the evening, I sent them back to the dorms and that's how ended the first day of our after school band practice.

Whew, I managed to finish the chapter. It seems like I made things difficult by using music related things in my novel while I'm still a amateur in music.

On another note, I've planned for the MC and the quintuplets to catch new Pokemon In the next chapter and beside the MC getting a Beldum, I haven't planned for any other Pokemon so if you want, you can put some suggestions here.

Also, even if you're late, the suggested Pokemon could be caught in the future or would be given to other characters.
