11 A New Form

Hey guys, sorry to keep you waiting on this story!

I decided to write a couple of stories on Wattpad, and it somewhat got successful!

I have two fanfics: a Genshin Impact (Keqing X OC) and Classroom of the Elite (Horikita Suzune X OC).

My username there is DarkTSM!

The Horikita Suzune X OC fanfic I mentioned was a trial one, and it is really cringy, but the Genshin Impact one should be good.

I will add more info about it at the end of this chapter.

"Are you sure that you are not going to use Pokemon that are weak against Grass-types?" Blaze said as he saw what Soul was going to use for the gym battle. He only nodded to what he said as he patted the Ultra Ball that was shaking in his pocket.

"Yes, but don't misunderstand why I am using them. All the Gym Leaders here are strong and have done a lot of stuff for their region. They were all chosen to have the job for a reason. Sure, Gym Leaders need to be strong but imagine the league hiring one of those people who are flaunting their status?" Soul said, making Blaze nod.

"And I suppose that using Pokemon that are weak to the opponents will make them stronger?" Blaze asked. Soul nodded.

"I know it sounds stupid, but my team will follow me wherever I go. That is why I need to improve myself along with the strategies I make."

Blaze sighed as he raised his hands in defeat.

"Fine, I know that you are the only person capable of doing that." Blaze said. Soul shook his head with a smile as he remembered a certain boy with a Pikachu.

'I should ask Red to rematch next time.' Soul though, as he remembered having a battle with Red.

It was his Mega Charizard X against Hunter.

It didn't continue because they were interrupted by Rainbow Rocket attacking Alola.

"Hey, you are going to be late for the Gym battle!" Luna yelled. Soul blinked ablaze pulled him towards the Gym.

Hunter, in the meanwhile, was in his shadow, staying quiet. He was smiling in his shadow and proud of his trainer.

'We will follow you and listen to you, Soul. You are the best trainer we Pokemon could ever ask for.' The Decidueye thought as memories of an emo version of Soul passed by his head.

When he was in this state, his Pokemon could only worry about his well-being. Their trainer was a nice person, but due to his bad reputation when he was still unknown to the public, it was pretty bad.

Hunter could only thank Elios and Hau for being the only ones who actually talked to him like a normal person.

As Soul got out of Blaze's grip and walked by himself, he felt a small headache coming.

*Flashback*

'Is that the cursed child?'

'You mean the one who killed his own mother?!'

'I also heard he was the reason why his mother and father broke up.'

A ten-year-old version of Soul was just standing there with his hair shadowing his face. He ignored them as he played with a figurine of a Trevenant. A small stone was coming towards him as his eyes glowed, and he caught it.

"Run!" The children laughed like it was a game. Soul blankly stared at them as he looked at the rock in his hand. He clenched his hand into a fist as the rick crumbled in his grip. He looked at the sky with dull eyes as a dark shadow loomed over him.

*Flashback end*

Soul grunted as he shook off the vision. His eyes glowed an ominous purple as he saw red eyes staring at him...

And this time, it wasn't Giratina.

Soul felt Giratina, who was in the Ultra Ball, shook violently. He patted the Ultra Ball as it slowly calmed down. In his shadow, Hunter glared at the familiar Pokemon as he knew what it was.

Soul kept quiet as his eyes turned back to normal. He quickly followed behind Blaze as they went towards the Grass-type Gym.

After this, he will have to consult Luna.

"After this, we get to go to Shalour City!" Luna said as Blaze nodded excitedly. Soul only showed a minor smile as his head was still slightly in pain.

"I hope they have a Cameruptite or a Charizardite. I need it for my Pokemon." Soul quizzically rose an eyebrow at Blaze as the pain lessened.

"Then, where is your Keystone?" Blaze only grinned as he took something from his pocket. It was a Keystone.

"I plan to make it a necklace or something." Blaze said as he looked at Soul's Mega Bracelet that also acted as a Z-ring. He shook his head as he smiled and stopped walking. Both Luna and Soul turned to their right and saw that they were already in front of the Gym.

Soul has 3 days left to beat the 2 Gyms...

And to also solve a little problem that was caused by a certain Legendary Pokemon.

"Is the challenger, readY?" The referee said.

Ramos, the Gym Leader, smiled as his Jumpluff was already on the battlefield. Soul nodded as he chose his Pokemon.

"Let's go, Treant," Soul said as light filled the battlefield. A Trevenant was seen as it let out a low grunt. Jumpluff, who was on the battlefield, shivered in fear as it looked at the haunted tree. Treant let out a cackle as he looked back at his trainer. Soul waved back as he narrowed his eyes.

"Battle begin!" As soon as the referee declared the start of the battle, Ramos took the first move.

"Tailwind!" A huge gust of wind formed as Jumpluff disappeared from its spot. Soul closed his eyes along with Treant as he opened it with a small glimmer.

"Acrobatics," Ramos said as Jumpluff appeared behind Treant and glowed. Soul knew he couldn't dodge it, so he just used a move to counter it.

"Horn Leech." The branches protruding from Treant's head glowed as he collided with Jumpluff.

Ramos thought that he will be able to push back Treant because of the super-effective move and that Horn Leech is 4 times weak against Pokemon like Jumpluff, but he was surprised by the next result.

Treant stood his ground as he growled at Jumpluff. Jumpluff widened its eyes in surprise as it got smashed into the ground. Soul smiled as he knew what his Pokemon did.

Treant used Growth.

"Get up, Jumpluff." Jumpluff panted as it slowly floated up and disappeared from its spot again and reappeared to his original position at the start of the game.

Treant grunted as he shook off the damage he took. Horn Leech took a bit of energy from the Jumpluff, so Treant healed most of its damage, but it still hurts. Soul knew that this move was too overused, but he taught them all how to use it to improve their dodging capabilities.

"Phantom Force." Blaze sighed.

"As I said, Soul, overused." Blaze said from his seat as Soul gave him a shrug of his shoulders.

"In the air, Jumpluff!" Ramos commanded as Jumpluff used a more powerful Tailwind as he floated up.

"Synthesis." Jumpluff glowed.

They were in an open area where the sun hit the battlefield. Ramos thought he could have pulled a comeback but saw a weird shadowy portal above Jumpluff.

"Wood Hammer!" Treant let out his arms as it turned into a hammer. Ramos saw the hammer grow bigger as Treant used Growth to make the hit more powerful. Jumpluff went straight down as it let out a cry and made a small crater in the ground.

Jumpluff's eyes swirled.

Ramos sighed as he took out a Pokeball and returned Jumpluff.

The Gym Leader took out an Ultra Ball as he released his 2nd Pokemon...

A Gogoat.

"Let's do this, Gogoat!" The old Gym Leader said as Gogoat let out a cry of courage as it glared at Treant. Treant never flinched as they both did a staredown.

'I can't risk using Horn Leech. He may have Sap Sipper.' Grimm thought as he waited for his next move.

"Bulldoze!" Ramos ordered as Gogoat let out a cry and stomped the ground, making it shake violently. Soul and Treant stood their ground, but a blue light covered the Treavenant.

"Phantom Force," Soul said as a small portal made of shadows formed behind Treant as he entered it. Ramos and Gogoat eyed the battlefield cautiously.

"If you aren't going to come out..." Ramos narrowed his eyes as Gogoat leered at Soul.

"Bulk Up." Suddenly, Gogoat's body was covered with a red light.

"Use Horn Leech behind you, partner!" As Ramos thought, the Treavenant was behind Gogoat. Treant grunted as he slashed at Gogoat with a bit of energy from using Phantom Force. Treant fell with a thud as his eyes swirled. Soul returned Treant and chose another Pokemon.

Soul showed a Dive Ball as he threw it out. Ramos raised an eyebrow at the boy's choice of Pokemon but remembered that he should not underestimate him.

"Jellicent!" The Pokemon cried out as it floated above the ground. It had a blue and round body as it glared at Gogoat. The referee just stood there, baffled by choice of Soul, who had a smile on his face.

"It's been a while, Bloo." The Jellicent named Bloo let out a cry as it waved at his trainer with his tentacles.

'Bloo? You are bad at names, Soul.' Blaze thought as he tried to hold back a laugh. He only felt a chill down his spine when Bloo was staring at him with a cold look. Bloo shooks his head as he looked towards his opponent.

"Bulldoze." Gogoat stomped the ground again as a blue light surrounded Bloo, making him feel a little sluggish. The Jellicent shook his head as he ignored the damage. Ramos saw that his attack had a small effect on the Jellicent, even with the status boost from Bulk Up.

"Horn Leech." Gogoat's horns glowed green as he rammed it towards Bloo, who awaited his trainer's command.

"Aqua Ring." A veil of water surrounded Bloo as he took the blow. He stood his ground as he let out a cry and pushed Gogoat back. A purple light covered Gogoat, but it didn't seem to do anything to him.

"Bulk Up, then Horn Leech again!" Gogoat was covered in red light as he charged at Bloo with his green horns. Soul smiled as he waited for the right time.

As soon as Gogoat was about to touch Bloo, the green light that surrounded Gogoat's horns disappeared. Ramos and Gogoat's eyes widened in surprise.

"Shadow Ball." The ball of Ghost-energy hit the Gogoat straight on, landing a critical hit, knocking it out.

Ramos sighed as he returned Gogoat back and could only stare at Soul with amazement.

"In all my years, I have never seen strong Pokemon like yours. Hell, I think they are above even the Kalos Champion!" Ramos said with a chuckle while Soul smiled.

"Should we tell him that he has beaten both the Alolan Champion and technically, the Galarian Champion?" Blaze whispered to Luna, who giggled and shook her head.

"Well, it is your time to shine, Venasaur!" Ramos threw out an Ultra Ball, and there stood the majestic Pokemon. Soul could only look up in surprise as Bloo glared at the massive behemoth.

"Is it a 'King' species?" Soul asked as Ramos nodded. Soul contemplated his choice and then looked towards Bloo.

"Can you return for a bit? I think someone is raring to fight." Bloo looked at him questioningly, then at his shadow. Bloo nodded towards the shadow as he floated beside Soul.

"Well, your turn, Hunter." Soul's shadow went to the battlefield, making the Venasaur cautious. A creepy laugh was heard when the shadows formed into an owl and were replaced by Hunter.

"Come on, Hunter..." Soul shook his head at his partner's actions. Ramos could only look at the Pokemon in awe.

"Say, is that Pokemon your starter? The one who went with you first, in your journey?" Ramos asked as Soul nodded. Ramos laughed and clapped, confusing Soul, Blaze, and Luna.

"Hah! Look's like I have to give you something after all." Ramos said as he showed his Keystone.

"Mega Evolve!" A weird light surrounded the Venasaur as it changed form. Soul and Hunter prepared for the worst as they saw the huge Venasaur Mega Evolve. The light faded, and soon it revealed the Mega Venasaur.

"Sunny Day!" The sun suddenly grew brighter, and the battlefield became hot.

"Solar Blade/Solar Beam!" Soul and Ramos said at the same time. Light gathered to the Mega Venasaur's huge flower and shot towards Hunter, who countered with a blade made out of sunlight. The attacks collided, but a dark aura suddenly surrounded the blade and slashed through the Solar Beam.

"What was that?!" Blaze yelled as Soul and Hunter smirked. The blade hit the big Mega Venasaur, but it stood its ground.

"Want to try it, Hunter?" Soul asked his partner, who nodded. Soul took a deep breath as his eyes glowed an ominous purple.

"Phantom Mode." Decidueye's eyes turned purple like Soul's. His feathers became inverted. His body's feathers became black while his wings became white. An ominous purple hood instead of the green.

"Spirit Shackle!" Hunter aimed at the Mega Venasaur, and an arrow formed. It glowed purple before getting surrounded by a pale blue flame and flew through the air, hitting the Mega Venasuar head-on. A huge explosion was formed, and a light glowed inside the dust cloud then faded.

A fainted Venasaur was seen.

Hunter reverted to normal as he stared at his newfound powers. Soul only grinned and patted his back.

"WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT, SOUL?!" Blaze yelled.

Oh, he had a lot of explaining to do.
