14 PWA 14 First Capture I [Rewrite]

Unlike in the Pokémon games where the battle took in a turn based format, here in the PokeWack World the battle is going on real time base.

So even if you use a move like Quick Attack, if you used that much later than your enemy, then you will still move on the latter time too.

However the Quick Attack is still so quick as its name would suggest, though.

It took less than a blink of an eye for the Rattata to approach Kasumi from its earlier place.

However, its attack is futile as a nomal type move such as Quick Attack have no effects on Kasumi who is partly a Ghost type.

The Rattata move through the misty body of Kasumi, dealing no damage, and met with a heavy pound from my Shion head on.

*Pound*

The Rattata, having its defense softened by Kasumi's Leer, immediately fall down unconscious after being pounded once by Shion.

Shion and Kasumi cheered up from their first victory working together felling a single Rattata.....

Before they divided the wild Pokémon in two and devour each half of its body whole....

I took a look at Kotonoha, and the girl beside me also took a look at me.

I guess our Pokémon is hungry, they immediately eat their first prey as their lunch.

It took less than 3 minutes for each half of that wild Rattata's body to be swallowed inside the dark hole in the middle of Shion's wood trunk body, and the same also applies to the bisected corpse of Rattata that quickly became disintegrated after being swallowed inside Kasumi's steamy body.

Is this how the Pokémon eat in this world?

Well, I guess this is good though, by eating the wild Pokémon when they are hungry, we can save on the Pokémon food rations inside our bags.

Continuing on after Shion and Kasumi let out a satisfied burp after lunching on a rat, the four of us (one trap, one girl and two Pokémons) continue on our journey along the road.

The second encounter is a Pidgey, a Dual type Normal and Flying Pokémon.

Guess Kasumi will have her role as debuffer again.

Going with the same tactics, Kasumi leered on the Pidgey, lowering its defense with the uncanny purple glow in her eyes, before taking a Peck from the Pidgey....

Eits, not so fast.

Unlike normal type Quick Attack, the Flying type Peck attack can hurt the Ghost type Kasumi.

I didn't let the Peck from the Pidgey hit Kasumi as I commanded Shion to Pound on the bird Pokémon to intercept with its attack.

And its done.

Yeah, another difference from between the games and reality again, I guess.

While in the games, each moves only serves for a single purpose, here in reality we can weave our Pokemon's moves to be used in various way for our tactics.

Like right now when a Pidgey is trying to Peck Kasumi who have Leered on it but the bird's attack failed as it immediately met with a Pound from Shion which made it faint due to its lowered defence making it can't stand a single attack from my Pokémon.

By the way, have you all ever wondered why we can't catch a fainted Pokémon in the games?

They are only fainted, right? Not Dead?

Why can't we catch them, then?

Since that question have plagued me ever since I first started playing Pokémon, now it is a good time to try it when we have a Pokémon and a pokeball in the real world.

I threw out my pokeball in an attempt to catch the Pidgey.

*Shake Ding!*

After shaking only one time instead of the usual three in the games, the red and white pokeball make a ding signalling that the catch is a success.

Oh! We can catch the fainted Pokémon now!

And from the look at it, the success catch rate is about 100% since it can't struggle because it have been fainted?

If so, what is the use of Great Ball and Ultra Ball, then?

Who would buy those expensive balls if we can catch any Pokémon with 100% success rate using pokeball after we make them faints?

I scanned the pokeball containing the Pidgey with my PokeGear to register it on my account.

*Ding!*

[ Do you want to give a name to the Female Pidgey? ]

[ Yes ] [ No ]

Oh, it's a female. Yes, please. I will name her Phinia.

Unlike in the games where we can see the name, gender, level and HP of the Pokémons we have encountered, here in this reality we obviously can't do such a thing.

Sigh..... If only I have a game system like the other transmigrator....

I have already said a lot of keyword like "System" , "Status", "Menu" , and whatever terms I can think of but sadly I seems to be not getting any system.

Well, those are just fictional works I guess.... Nothing to be getting over seriously.

But if only I got those fictional powers, too. It would feel very good. Just imagine having an inventory space to store our items without being afraid of theft is already a big boon...

[ Warning ! ]

[ This Pidgey is currently fainted and is on its critical stage, please bring it as soon as possible to the Pokémon Center to receive treatment! ]

.....

Okay, now I know why people stock up on Great Balls and Ultra Balls even in this world.

Turns out that if you capture a fainted Pokémon, then it is the same as carrying a heavily injured person with you.

You should make it to the Pokémon Center as soon as possible or else like it will hit the dirt for real soon.
