'Thank god, I have a system'

'god really blessed me in this life HAHAHAH' laughing inwardly, I consider myself lucky, unlike other MCs who got nothing but their future memories, which I don't have unfortunately.
"*sigh If I would have known, that I will be brought to another world, I would've watched every single anime before this."
"Anyways there's no point in regretting now *grrrrr grrrr* might as well eat breakfast before checking what my gift does" I tidy myself and head downstairs, smelling a delicious aroma.
I follow the scent and reach the dining where grandma had just placed the cookies on the table. I can't help but salivate over a cookie.
"Oh Noctus, sit and eat" as she sat on her chair, and push the bowl of cookies to me.
My grandmother is an elderly woman with shoulder-length grey hair and large black eyes, and beside her is a yellow humanoid Pokemon, with a slightly short mustache compared to a normal one, as it holds two spoons in both of its hands and uses them to eat cereals???
Both Alakazam and I observe each other for a bit, as I averted my gaze, and focus myself on the breakfast in front.
I picked a cookie and dip it unto the glass of milk, as I took a bite.
"Hmmm"
'This is the first time I tasted such heavenly food, can't remember when was the last time, but this single bite top it all' I kept eating cookies, as both Alakazam and my grandma smiled upon seeing me like this, I almost felt that my clothes are about to burst out.
"Grandma those cookies are the best" I said and smiled, completely forgetting that earlier I'm not used to calling her grandma.
"Want some more?" she asked.
"Yeah" I answered as she head back to the kitchen and brought out another bowl filled with cookies.
"By the way grandma, I decided to start my journey, I'm not too late am I?" I spoke while scratching my head, which left both my grandma and Alakazam shocked.
After the initial shock, my grandma stood up and walk towards me, as she hugged my head, tears trail down her face, and even Alakazam wipe her tears a bit.
(A.N: And yes Alakazam is a female)
"Finally my grandson" she spoked.
It lasted for about a minute as she calmed down, she goes back and sat on her chair, and asked.
"So Noctus what makes you decide to go on a journey?" she asked smiling, happy for her grandson.
"I think I'm ready and can now protect myself from the dangers, and also to overcome my fears" I answered.
She kept nodding, and said "Okay I will ask the professor later, eat your breakfast first"
After eating almost 4 bowls of cookies, which seemed to be never-ending, as grandma took out one bowl of cookies after another, I excuse myself to my room.
"*sigh I can't believe that Noctus finally overcome his fears" it is like a weight off her shoulders.
Alakazam communicated with her via telepathy, as she saw that when Noctus looked at her, it is a look without fear but instead curiosity.
Although Endora was a bit curious about what brought Noctus to overcome his fears she just brushed it off, she believes in her grandson.
"Bella, Nox you can now rest easy" she whispered as she wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.
"Let's go Alakazam, let's talk to the professor"
"Noctus! we will be gone for a while"
"Okay, grandma!" Noctus replied from his room.

'Now let's check the system' I think about the system and a panel appeared.

[The function of this system is to train your Pokemon in a unique way of fighting. There are fighting styles, skills, and abilities from fictional stories on your previous world that can be taught to your Pokemon, you can get these items through rewards from the 'Quest' and lucky draw from the 'Gacha', but you are unable to use the items, and only your Pokemon, but after your Pokemon reaches a certain level of progress you would be able to learn those fighting styles, skills and abilities, and increase the progress via training. The 'Status' can provide you with basic data about yourself. The 'Pokemon' can provide you data on your Pokemon's progress in the fighting styles, skills, and abilities they learned. The 'Inventory' on the menu, can store items.]

After reading the information, the panel appeared.
'That's it?!' it looks just like any other system.
I select the status as the panel containing my basic data appeared.

"What? that's all?" I exclaimed, unlike some other system status where it records all of the host's data, mine only showed this, though at least it showed the percentage of my progress.
'Wait a minute, if the system said that I cannot use the item on myself, but my 'Boxing' and its progress is shown here then, that would mean that I can still learn some other techniques through training, though the progress might be slow without the help of the system still, it's better than nothing' I can exploit this thing.
I checked both the 'Pokemon' and the 'Inventory' which both are empty, then select the 'Gacha'.

'BD Points seems like the currency use to draw' I only saw a single draw, unlike in games where there will be different banners, or like 10x guaranteed.
I close the Gacha panel and open the Quest panel.

Quest Details: Reincarnated in the world of Pokemon, having a Pokemon partner is a norm for all people, so as a reincarnator you shouldn't be left behind. Catch or obtain your very first Pokemon.

"Sweet, luckily grandma seemed to have a talk with Prof. Oak hopefully he can give me a Pokemon, but if not I can just buy a Pokeball and capture one nearby" I can't wait to get my first Pokemon.
'With the help of the system, I can train my Pokemon to become the strongest HAHAHAHA' can't help but laugh, thinking about what would happen to my opponent when my Pokemon starts attacking with unknown moves.
I turned off the interface, and open my computer to gather information.
Hours passed, as I browsed through my computer and gather some information about this world.
I've learned many things like Pokemon that I never saw in my previous life, regions from the new generations, and many more, though I know the basic information that you would mostly learn from the game, it's still better to be prepared.
"I'm home Noctus!" I heard grandma's calling me.
"Coming!" I go downstairs, and I found grandma and Alakazam who seem to be in high spirits.
I tried to check Alakazam's status.

Even the other Pokemon only have four data, I hope that it will provide a bit more information to my Pokemon.
"Noctus the professor agreed, he said that there will be a new batch of Pokemon coming tomorrow, though you won't be getting one of the three starters as there are already owners, he said that he found a Pokemon suitable for you, he said that you can go to his lab tomorrow to get your Pokemon" joy is visible on her face.
"Thanks, grandma" I said excitedly, who wouldn't want to have their Pokemon, I can only imagine how cool it would be to have your very own Pokemon while playing those games.
"Your welcome Noctus, I've been waiting till this day, it's been years since your parents and I prepared this, this should be our gift for you for your journey, but it got delayed since their death and your trauma" she said in a sorrowful voice.
"T-thanks grandma" tears started building up in the corner of my eye, as I walk to her and hug her, this is the first time I felt being cared for by someone, the first time to have a family, though it was only my grandma and me, I swear to myself that I won't let the same thing happened with my parents, to my grandma.
I understand all the hardship she's been through after losing her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, and to brought up her grandchild who still has a trauma at that time.'
After she calmed down, she asked "Noctus are you going to start your journey after getting your Pokemon?"
"Yes grandma, I'm waiting for this day, it's time to see the world" I answered.
After that, we spent time chatting the whole day.
She told me that if I ever come home after my journey, I should bring back a girl, and give my grandma grandchildren, she said that I'm not the cute little boy that she used to carry back then, she wants grandchildren to feed them a never-ending bowl of cookies.
Who would want to be called 'cute', it will hurt my pride as a man, I should be called handsome, still, it hurts hearing that from your grandma.
After a day full of laughter, I resigned to my bed, excited for tomorrow.

(Grandma POV)
"Noctus we will be gone for a while!"
"Okay grandma" after hearing my grandson, Alakazam and I headed to Prof. Oak's lab.
It's not very far just a few minutes of walk, though I can ask Alakazam to teleport, I saw on the television that the elderly should walk often, it's good for the bones.
On my way with Alakazam, I met some of our neighbors as we greeted each other.
And then I met Delia who seems to be going somewhere, she is a good friend of my daughter, she sometimes visits and brings some sweets for Noctus after the death of Bella and Nox.
She has a 10 years old son named Ash, a kind and jolly kid.
She lives with her son a few minutes away from our house, her husband never returns home after taking an emergency mission along with Prof. Oak's son-in-law before the birth of little Ash, the neighbors all thought that he was dead, but Delia believes that he is still alive.
As soon as she saw me. "Good morning Mrs. Hex you seem to be in a good mood" she said.
"Of course, Noctus finally wants to go on his journey, and I'm on my way to talk to the professor"
"Wow, that's great we should hold a small party" she said, she was happy for Noctus as she still remembered the kid after his parent's death.
"That would be great! Where are you going by the way?" I asked.
"I will buy, the necessary needs Ash needed for his journey tomorrow" she replied.
"I'm sure Ash is excited" I remember the kid who always said that he wants to be a Pokemon Master until now.
After walking a few minutes while chatting, we reached her stop.
"Mrs. Hex I will be on my way now"
"Want some free ride?" I asked.
"That would be great, thanks" she replied as I asked Alakazam to teleport Delia to her destination which is not so far.
'Understood Master' as Alakazam used teleport on Delia.
After that, we continued our way to the professor's lab.
*knock knock
"Coming!" said the voice inside.
"Well good morning Mrs. Hex" what appeared is a middle-aged man wearing a lab coat, with gray hair and thick bushy eyebrows.
"Good morning Professor"
"Come in, what brings you here you seemed to be in good mood" he asked.
"Noctus wants to go on a journey, are there any Pokemon available for him?"
"I'm glad for that child, even I have been waiting when will he go on his journey" he said.
"As for the Pokemon, fortunately, there will be new Pokemons tomorrow, however, the three starters already have an owner, so I can only give him another one, but I found a suitable Pokemon from the batch for him which he will surely like"
"Oh that would be great Professor, thank you very much" before the death of my daughter and son-in-law, the professor already reserve a Pokemon for Noctus, but after the accident, because of his trauma he can't even get close to his suppose to be partner, that's why professor said that he will give Noctus a Pokemon when he decided to go on a journey.
After saying goodbye to the professor, I immediately went home to tell Noctus the good news, as both Alakazam and I teleported to the front of the house.
"I'm home Noctus!"
"Coming!"

Hearing my alarm, I woke up, I'm used to waking up early due to my alarm, as I need to go early to university in my past life, even in this life, the original owner woke early in the morning to exercise.
"Haaaa what a wonderful day" I stood up and do some light exercise and tidy myself.
"I guessed it is true, huh, and not a dream" I muttered.
"I'm excited to get my first Pokemon HAHAHAHAHA" laughing like a madman as I ran downstairs.
