" It's directly below us... " Atsumu said, staring at the locator in his hands. " Pallosand, make a lap around the area. "

" It's been a while since I've last been here... " Steven remarks, staring at the large murals on the walls of Sky Pillar. " It's still as impressive as ever. "

" That's Groudon and Kyogre... right? " Alain questioned, pointing at the silhouettes.

" That's right... but their forms are quite different. " Steven said.

" They look like they Mega evolved... " Alain says.

" Exactly! " Steven exclaims. " It's a debate still unresolved ever since Mega Evolution was discovered. Many people believe that this is Groudon and Kyogre's original form a thousand years ago but long since lost their power over time but others believe that they have Mega Evolved. "

" The target is located here... " Atsumu said. " We'll be making a hole with a diameter of 23 to 24 inches... No, make it 24 inches. "

" We can adjust but well the target come out smoothly? " The head worker asked.

" Yeah, it will. " Atsumu replied. " The object is exactly a 3d Rhombus shape, currently slanted less like this from where I'm standing... "

Taking a pen and placing it on the ground, Atsumu started by pointing it straight up and tilted it to his left.

" So, 24 inches will cover it. " Atsumu said.

" Understood. We'll set up for extraction. " The head said before walking away.

" So... What are your thoughts? " Steven asked.

" Hmmm? " Atsumu said, turning towards Steven.

" On the debate... " Steven reminded.

" Mega Evolution. " Atsumu said.

" Why? " Steven asked.

" No proof, but I think the meteor that fell had something to do with it. " Atsumu shrugged. " What about you? "

" Orginal forms. " Steven replied. " On the account of what happened a few years ago. "

" A few years ago... did you see Groudon and Kyogre? " Alain asked.

" I did. " Steven said.

" That's surprising... " Atsumu mentions. " There isn't anything on the web that talks about it. "

" It was kept under wraps. " Steven replied. " Team Magma and Aqua were prominent back in the day when Wallace was Champion, they had goals that required Groudon and Kyogre. There were two orbs, Blue and Red, that could allow someone to communicate with Groudon and Kyogre respectively.

The location of this fight was directly above the sea-floor caverns. Team Aqua's leader Archie gained procession over Kyogre while Groudon was still in slumber, the red orb Archie had entering his body. It would have been a catastrophe considering we were unequipped in handling a legendary... till Groudon awakened as well.

The blue orb entered a Pikachu and asked Groudon to fight Kyogre while we dealt with Archie. The red orb was removed from his body and after that, the blue orb was removed from the Pikachu.

It's not an... exact play-by-play of what happened, but it's all I can remember after so long. "

" Okay... but that part about the orbs... going into Archie and... Piakchu, was that true? " Alain asked.

" Oh yeah, that's all true. " Steven said.

" Do you remember who the Pikachu's trainer was? " Atsumu asked.

" I do. He's quite the trainer. " Steven said. " His name is Ash Ketchum, from Pallet town. "

" ...He has quite the resume. " Atsumu smiled.

" That he does. " Steven replies. " You've met him before? "

" Yep. " Atsumu replied.

' So he's currently traveling through Kalos... ' Alain thought.

" Excuse me, sir... " The head worker called out, " Everything's been prepared. We're ready for extraction. "

" Alright. Pallosand... " Atsumu said, glancing towards the ground and a thumbs-up made of sand appeared.

Disappearing into the earth, and a few seconds later, a large hole appeared at the spot Atsumu marked, at the center of the tower. Peering into the hole, everyone could a light shining through while the energy radars began beeping widely.

" The energy readings are off the charts! " A scientist yelled, staring at the computer.

" Get ready, we'll be pulling it out now! " The head worker yelled.

" Yes sir!! " The workers replied.

The distinct sound of a Pokemon being released from their Pokeball reached the ears of only two people in the room. Their eyes took note of the shadow on the floor, its mouth open wide...

' Aegislash! ' Atsumu thought.

Forcefully coming out of his Pokeball while the attack charged, using Phantom Force to appear in front of the path taken by the Mega Salamence diving straight towards the hole. Salamence fired a Hyper Beam from its mouth as Aegislsash went into blade form and slammed his blade into the attack to absorb it. Spinning upward, Aegislash used Gyro Ball heading towards Salamence who dodged the attack. Salamence glared at Aegislash, gearing up for a fight...

" Hey! " Steven yelled, gaining Salamneces attention who looked towards Steven to see Zinnia being held captive by Metagross. Seeing Zinnia struggle, Salamemnce growled, but that provided an opening for Pallosand to come up to Salamnce and landed a Hypnosis. Catching Salamence after he fell asleep, Metagross gently levitated Slamance to the ground.

" Well then, who are you? " Steven asked, staring at the girl Metagross captured.

" Since when could Aegislash do that?! " Zinnia yelled.

" From the beginning. " Atsumu replied. " Anyway, who are you? "

" My name's Zinnia. Nice to meet you Champ... " looking at Steven, " Mysterious trainer... ", looking at Atsumu, " And... Mysterious trainers... student? ", looking at Alain.

" Not his student, co-worker. " Alain replied.

" ... I don't see it. " Zinnia replied.

" Him being ridiculously strong does not make me, not his co-worker. " Alain replied.

" I... what? " Zinnia asked.

" Okay, regardless of whether Alain is Atsumu's co-worker or student, Zinnia why are you here? " Steven asked.

" To destroy whatever's in the hole. " Zinnia replied.

" Why? " Alain asked.

" She says that if I don't destroy whatever's in the hole, Hoenn will be destroyed. " Zinnia said.

" Nice. " Atsumu replied, " But how? "

" That... uh... well she doesn't know. " Zinnia said.

" How helpful. " Atsumu comments.

A gust of wind slammed into all present in the tower, forcing them to hold onto something to not fly and slam against a wall. Staring upward, a shining light could be seen as it flew away.

" The object is moving towards Sootopolus!! " A scientist yelled.

" Everyone pack up and evacuate the tower! Atsumu, Alain, we'll be chasing after it. " Steven said.

" What about her? " Alain asked.

" We're taking her with us. " Steven said, motioning to Metagross to release her. " Now move. "

Recalling Salamence, Zinnia followed the other 3 to the chopper and hopped inside.

"Step on it! " Steven told the pilot.

" Yes sir. "

In the deepest trenches of the ocean, Kyogre stopped swimming along the current. Memories so long ago resurfaced, power only felt once, power to feel invincible, power to throw at Groudon. Changing course, Kyogre swam towards the source, commanding everyone to get out of the way, lest they become accidental kills.

Slumbering in a blanket made of lava, Groudon finally felt a reason to wake up. Reminded of a time when power transcended normal limits, Groudon carved a path toward the source. This time, Kyogre will be beaten, the undisputed victor and the undisputed loser.

" Sir, there's a massive storm in front of us!! " yelled the pilot.

" Fuck! Kyogre's headed there!! " Zinnia yelled.

" And it isn't the only Legendary!! " Alain yelled, pointing toward the cloudless sky with strong sunlight shining down.

" Step on it! As long we get there, the ride can be as bumpy as it needs to be! " Steven commanded.

" Yes sir! " The pilot responded, pushing the throttle forward.

" And get in call with the Sootopolus port! " Steven said.

" Sir, the dome has been secured! " A trainer from the Sootopolus gym said to a man with light blue eyes and teal blue hair that curled around his head, the Sootopolus gym leader, Wallace.

" Well done. How is the evacuation? " Wallace asked, another trainer.

" We're moving everyone from the port as we speak and from the speed of the storm and harsh sunlight approaching, we'll make it in time! " said another trainer.

" There's also the stone that's just floating... "

" Ignore that. It hasn't done anything but be the most wanted object. Keep up the good work, I'll be heading outside to help with the evacuation. Once the evacuation is complete, gather all available trainers and meet us there. " Wallace said.

" Yes sir. " The trainers responded.

Calling out his Gyrados, Wallace secured himself on top of him as they flew towards the entrance to head outside. Looking at the people being evacuated, Wallace nodded his head in satisfaction.

" Sir! " A trainer greeted, as soon as Wallace demounted his Gyrados.

" Have you received information about what's approaching? " Wallace asked.

" Yes sir. We received a call from Steven Stone and he explained the situation. It seems that Groudon and Kyogre are on their way to that... " He said, pointing at the floating rock.

" There were images in Sky Pillar that showed Groudon and Kyogre having transformed, Steven says that it may happen because of the rock. " The trainer said.

" I see... If what he says does happen... No, even if it doesn't happen, we are in a pickle! Contact the Hoenn league and tell them I'm asking for immediate evacuation to be readied! "

" Yes sir! "

Wallace stared at the chopper heading towards the port as the trainer ran off. Standing by, Wallace watched as the chopper landed and Steven walked out.

" So... how did this occur? " Wallace asked.

" Started a while back. Steven Corporation got readings of a powerful energy source and went to investigate. Didn't expect this to happen... " Steven replied.

" I don't think any of us would've... It's good to see you, Steven. " Wallace greeted with a smile, giving Steven a handshake, and brought him in for a quick hug, which Steven reciprocated.

" It's good to see you as well Wallace. " Steven said.

" And they are... " Wallace inquired, gesturing to the three standing behind Steven.

" Sup. My name's Zinnia. " Zinnia greeted casually.

" She's a draconid. " Steven added.

" I see... Well, I would bombard you with questions my dear, but now's not the time I'm afraid. " Wallace said.

" No worries, but now I need to ask, can we please just destroy that thing already?! " Zinnia yelled, pointing at the floating rock.

" I'm with her on this. Let's save the introductions and destroy that thing. " Alain said, sending out his Charizard.

" Your enthusiasm is contagious, but unfortunately we have already tried. That rock is impervious to harm. Gyrados, Hyper Beam. " Wallace commanded, pointing at the stone.

Gyrados fired a Hyper Bean instantly from his mouth, but the attack didn't even reach the stone.

" That's not even a move... Just pure energy. " Atsumu comments.

" Indeed. No matter how strong our attacks are, even after all the boosts we apply, none of them were able to bypass that dense energy field. " Wallace said.

" Groudon and Kyogre are approaching and will reach here soon. We can't let this battle occur for too long... Hoenn will be destroyed otherwise. " Steven states grimly. Wallace lowers his gaze while Alain clenches his fists tightly.

" Oh come on!! " Zinnia yelled, " I just had one job, destroy that damn rock and I can't even do that?! My ancestors must be shaking their heads in disappointment! "

" Fire more attacks at it. "

As Atsumu's voice registered in their brains, his words processed, they turned towards him in confusion.

" That stone is alive, it has sentience. It wasn't summoned, it left of its own accord and flew all the way here. If there's so much energy emitting from that stone, couldn't that stone also be a prison of sorts? " Atsumu rambled.

" What are you talking about?! Have you gone nuts!? " Zinnia yelled.

" It wants that energy to be released, it wants to be free. " Atsumu said. " Whatever's inside that thing is trying to get out and it's going to have legendaries absorb the energy constantly till it can break out. " Atsumu said.

" Groudon and Kyogre, the forms that are depicted on the walls of Sky Pillar... if the transformation is similar to mega evolution, that energy from the stone will act as a mega stone for both of them! " Steven deduced.

" As legendaries, their mental fortitude would be much higher, so they won't need trainers with keystones to act as the anchor. " Wallace said.

" Exactly, but those attacks did do something. To stop any attack on it, the high-energy field exerts energy to counteract those attacks. More energy is being spent. " Atsumu said, before turning around.

" It's a gamble, but I think we can get through this. " Atsumu said.

" What's the plan? " Steven and Wallace asked.

" First and foremost, we'll be constantly attacking the stone with attacks. The amount of energy is unknown, but it's not infinite. The more we attack it, the more energy will be released. Gather all the trainers at your disposal and have them bombard the stone with everything they have... "

Atsumu pointed at himself, Steven, Wallace, and Alain.

" Do you have any way to summon Rayquaza? " Atsumu asked.

" I... what? " Zinnia asked.

" Groudon and Kyogre have fought before, haven't they? And don't mean the recent events with Team Aqua and Magma, I'm further back. Those murals can only be made if they happened before and someone saw them... perhaps a psychic saw a future of this happening, but regardless, Rayquaza was also painted.

To put it simply, Rayquaza will help us by stopping Groudon and Kyogre. If we can summon Rayquaza, that boosts our odds astronomically. you're part of the Draconid tribe, so I'm gambling that you may have some way to summon Rayquaza. "... Why? " Alain asked, squinting his eyes at Atsumu.

" Yeah, why? Also, this is moving way too fast!! " Zinnia said.

" Experience. " Atsumu said. " If you stay here, you'll just be following Wallace, Steven, or my commands. You won't grow if you're with me. "

" But you don't even if this will work?! " Alain said, with Zinnia nodding her head in agreement.

" That's the point. " Atsumu said, " This is just an idea, an idea that will only work if you two can make it happen. Whether Rayquaza shows up or not, it all depends on the choices you make, not mine. Figure things out yourselves, take action, and make this stupid idea work, can you do it? "

"... I know you're playing me, but... I'll do it. " Alain said.

" We have our work cut out for us. " Wallace sighed.

" Yes, if this were a plot in a show, this would be exciting. " Steven replied.

" I agree to that. Let's start blasting that stone. " Atsumu said.

" Agreed. " Wallace smiled.

Accessing the radio, Wallace cleared his throat before speaking...

" Attention, all Sootopolus trainers head to the port immediately. A plan has been set into motion to get us through this crisis and we need more firepower. Get here immediately. "

As the announcement was made, all Sootopous trainers gathered their Pokemon and arrived on the scene. Standing proud, Wallace stood before them.

" Phase 1 of the plan will be executed immediately. Bring out Pokemon with the highest firepower and have other Pokemon on standby to help rejuvenate them. Increase the power using boosting moves as much as you can. Concentrate your attacks on the stone hovering above. " Wallace explained.

" But sir, we tried that before. Out attacks didn't reach the target, so why should we... "

" Yes, our attacks never reached, but that is the point. Each attack on the stone is to make it expel more energy to block our attacks! Our goal is to expel as much energy as we can each time we attack and continue to do so even when phase 2 begins! Our goal, our target is the energy field surrounding the stone!!" Wallace yells.

" Do not waver, do not doubt, for if you do, we may be destroyed. Can I count on you all? " Wallace asked.

" ...YES SIR!! "

After the in-sync declaration, all the trainers began moving. Releasing their Pokemon and getting them into position to execute the strategy.

" I believe we should do our part as well gentlemen. " Wallace smirks.

" Indeed. " Steven replied, bringing out his Aggron while Atsumu brought out his Decidueye.

Lining up, attacks were launched at the stone.
