Chapter 8

The next day, it was back to school again with Magby. Caleb sat down on his chair and got his texbook ready on his desk.

"Hi, Caleb."

"Hello, Diantha."

After their interaction yesterday, Caleb and Diantha grew closer. He looked at his new friend and was still feeling incredulous she would be the future pokemon champion in Kalos.

Though he don't know what changes he could bring since he knew butterfly effects are a bitch. He still knew that at least she would become a powerful trainer.

Having her as a friend would just be beneficial for him.

"Do you know that our class mostly composed of kids of our age with yellow and green potential Pokemons." Diantha said something that perked Caleb's interest.

"Aren't they rare? Why is our class full of it?" He was honestly confused since he still don't have any idea about the sectional placements of students. He has more knowledge than most peers his age regarding scarcity of high talented pokemon since his mother and father taught him, sometimes his grandfather as they are working on their breeding center.

Diantha then said. "Naturally it is because of our class. Which is mainly composed of the rich and influencial students."

She then filled her in about how classes placements are arranged.

"How biased. To tell you honestly, I don't care much if I'll be placed in any classes. I only believed in an individual's worth are equal. Personal strength is what really mattered." Caleb was disgusted by such system, even in the school a power hierarchy is shown.

"Me too. But we can't really say much since it is the League that did this." Diantha commented.

"First off, the League isn't absolute. Just because they did it doesn't mean we can't protest against it. Second, I think this isn't that simple." Caleb knew there was more to the hierarchy system than what it shows. "Maybe we will find out as we study here."

They quieted down immediately when their teacher entered the room. Class then started.

Teacher Veronica placed down her textbook and began her lesson after a while. "Today, I will be teaching you about Trainer Rankings and Pokemon Rankings."

The whole class was fully focused at this. This was quite a hype topic especially to children.

Teacher Veronica smiled pleasantly as she saw their reaction.

"After a student passed the exam issued by the League every year and graduates, he will become a: Rookie Trainer, they could then freely choose the careers they wanted after they had found their passion while studying in the academy. They would then be eligible to carry pokeballs that housed Pokemons they owned conveniently." The teacher paused as she showed them a pokeball. "What comes after are Advanced and Veteran Trainers. They are required to have at least three Advanced and Six Advanced Pokemons respectively. Then Ace Trainers, who are needed to have three Ace Staged Pokemons within their rooster."

"Those are the first four ranks that are also called the 'Four Walls' of a pokemon trainer. It was dubbed as such since going through every rank takes years of training for a trainer to rank up once. After the 'Four Walls' are the 'integration Stages', which are the Elite, Master and Champion Trainers. The integration stages is way more complicated than the 'Four Walls' since it isn't just based purely on training and strength but also with the 'bond' of a trainer and it's pokemon. We will discuss this topics more in another day." Veronica paused her lessons as she allowed the students to fully digest the knowledge she gave while writing it on the board. Then she continued after a while.

"Let's go on to the Pokemon Ranking. In the ranking there comes a concept called levels. Levels would measure and determine what rank a pokemon possessed." She then wrote it down on the board as it is easier to understand compared to conveying.

•Infant Stage Pokemon(Lvl.0-Lvl.5)

•Initial Stage Pokemon (Low(Lvl.6-Lvl.9), Intermidiate(Lvl.10-Lvl.14), Advanced(Lvl.15-Lvl.19 and Peak(Lvl.20-Lvl24))

•Advanced Stage Pokemon (Low(Lvl.25-Lvl.29), Intermidiate (Lvl.30-Lvl.34), Advanced(Lvl.35-Lvl.39), Peak(Lvl.40))

•Ace Stage Pokemon (Low(Lvl.41-45), Intermidiate (Lvl.46-50), Advanced (Lvl.51-55), Peak (Lvl.56-60))

•Entitled Stage Pokemon (Duke(Lvl.61-70), King(Lvl.71-80), Psuedo-Champion(Lvl.81-90))

•Champion Stage Pokemon(Lvl.91-100)

Caleb listened intently as this was one of the topics he was very curious on. He etched it firmly in his mind while writing it down on his notebook.

It wasn't just Caleb but also every single classmate of his are doing it.

"This are the titles pokemon gets as they further climb up the ladder of levels. Raising a single pokemon to becoming a advance stage isn't that easy especially as you progressed afterwards. However, I believe in every single one of you that you could do it. It may not be easy but with a will and drive as a trainer you will surely achieve that someday."

Vironica then continued on her lesson about the ranking and how it came to be.

This continued on until the class ends.

Caleb put down his pen as he exhaled. He reviewed what he had written. This is one of the major difference between the series and the real thing.

He gave Magby a snack since he looked quite bored. The Pokemons around was all feeling as such since they aren't really interested in learning although they are very intelligent. Unfortunately, this isn't their forte so to say. The only one who was feeling the opposite was a pokemon with the psychic typing; Diantha's Ralts.

Psychic are knowledge seeking Pokemons so it is just normal seeing it being so attentive.

...

Several days passed and it is already Saturday. Caleb was walking in the campus but this time he wasn't wearing the school uniform, he was wearing a black themed exercise outfit.

Since today was pokemon training. Caleb and Magby prepared.

Alongside him was Diantha with her Ralts. They also were prepared as Caleb, wearing a white themed exercise outfit.

They were chatting while walking, approaching towards the training ground.

"I can't help but say your outfit really suits you Caleb." Diantha commented as she stole glances bashfully towards Caleb.

"I exercise with Magby regularly every morning before going to school." Caleb said. Even before transmigrating he was an athletic person. As one of his racial talent he also brought it here, honing his body as soon as he transmigrated.

Coupled with his tall frame, he really looked very dashing and evil with the exercise outfit.

"Although I can say that back to you too Diantha. I can't also help but stare as such a cutey."

Diantha further blushed at his teasing. But she didn't mind it, on the contrary she felt happy when he heared those words from him.

Caleb's words weren't just playful talks. Diantha when growing up, would really be beautiful, and he was pretty sure of that considering how her mother looked and how she looked in the anime. She already looks fine in the anime what more in reality?

"Ral, ralts."

"Magby, mag."

Magby and her Ralts were also conversing with each other through their poketalk. Although Pokemons could understand human language, that didn't applied to humans since they would be having difficulties finding it to understand them as all they could say are their species's name. Though body language sometimes helps.

"Oh yeah Diantha. Didn't your mother say our family would be meeting with each other today?" Caleb asked.

"Yeah, I was also informed by mom." Diantha replied.

"Let's go there together to the place they are staying after the training then. It would be quite boring going there alone."

"I agree." Diantha replied happily.

They continued their casual conversation then eventually arrived at where the pokemon instructor was waiting.

When they arrived there are already a lot of students already waiting that are standing and we're stretching accompanied by a couple of Pokemons.

Caleb and Diantha recognized some of their classmates. But they also saw some unfamiliar faces which they conclude to be from other sections.

Kids with different sections were huddle up together with their classmates.

When the two arrived. They attracted a lot of attention.
