18 Plan Execution
Professor Baldwin POV:
"Damn, these ghosts!!!!! normally they are very calm during day time. But now some pokemon are getting restless," I said to myself yelling in exhaustion.
What's even happening? in the last two days, I had no proper sleep. I guard the eggs during the night so I always get my sleep during the day but now I can't even doze.
These pranks have only gotten worse, now they are not letting me sleep in the morning and I am too tired to even think straight during the night. At least my Pokemon are taking turns to guard and rest, I just need to stay here for one more month and those 500,000 credit points will be mine.
"Keekkkk mask mask .... shuppetttt .... dreavus"
"Fuck!!! they are back again..... can you let me have some damn sleep!!!!!"

In the Dorm(the same evening):
"Arthur, it's a huge risk... I can't do it," said Ethan shaking his head.
"I am not asking you to steal with me, all you need to do is roam around the periphery so that the Baldwin guy comes to meet you, we will be on the extreme opposite side. Remember, his cottage is on the opposite side of the building where eggs are kept," I said trying to convince Ethan. He still seemed not convinced so I said,
"That guy has been harassed by ghost Pokemon with the instruction of Golett. He is tired so he will reject you with irritation or accept to give you information to get rid of you sooner. Even if he rejects you, you can just come back, there's no loss. I just want to make sure he is away from the cottage for that 15 minutes." I said making Ethan think.
"Look all I am asking is to do the same thing as I did three weeks ago. Go to the outskirts, offer him 50k for information, dont care about him accepting the offer or rejecting. Me, Elekid and Golett will be very far away from him so that he can't detect," I said convincingly.
"Ok, I will just need to talk to him right? how long though?" asked Ethan to make sure.
"Doesn't matter, even if it's a minute or two. I just want him away from the building where the eggs are kept. I am sure he will be away but just want to make sure. If he asks about how you knew about him being near the Cemetery, just tell him exactly this: 'Arthur Jones who visited the Cemetery three weeks ago told me'," I said selling myself.
"Okay, but be careful. Although I can use my connections to save you from expulsion, you still might get a punishment," he said worriedly.
"If they give me a punishment, they also need to give one for Arden Vickster as technically I am not the one who snuck in and stole the eggs," I said confidently, assuring him.
"Okay, what time are we doing this?" he asked back.
"I think 11:00 pm would be perfect. If it's past 12 then I might be in danger, ghosts Pokemon will be very active at that time," I said thinking it through.
I am sure Baldwin would not come to check the eggs at 11. His concentration levels will be a bit low due to the lack of sleep, so he would try to slack off a bit as he said that no one will dare to enter the Cemetry.

Night (10:55 pm):
There was not a single soul around here except for darkness. In the Medieval Era, most people sleep early, the common time to go to bed is 9 pm. It's equivalent to 11 pm in the modern era.
I took a full roundabout way to reach here as I did not want anyone to spot me. Currently, I am sitting behind a bush with Golett, exactly 300 metres away from the building that's past the dense trees. I can't exactly see what's on the other side which is a good thing as the Pokemon that are on the other side can't see the outside either.
Normally Baldwin's Skuntank is always on guard with Kangaskhan. It's a great strategy from Professor Baldwin because Kangaskhan is immune to ghost types and has Scrappy ability, Skuntank is a part dark type and it surrounds the building with that stinky liquid. This keeps almost all Ghost-types away from the periphery. Skuntank also envelops the building with a dark aura that acts as a detection barrier.
The only flaw is that there's no protection from Pokemon like Golett who is Primary Ground-type and secondary Ghost. All those Ghost-types have to enter from above or from the sides of the building, any use of ghost energy inside building is under the detection range of the Dark pokemon. So, even if a ghost pokemon sneaks in, it can't suck the energy as Skuntank will detect it.
An embryo in the egg has thick condensed ghost energy which takes at least a week to completely absorb for one ghost Pokemon. So, the ghosts here can't stay inside for a whole day without getting detected.
All I need for Golett is to go in and bring the eggs here through underground instead of staying in the building.
Its Ground-typing helps it stay forever underground while also helping it transport the eggs through the ground with zero use of ghost energy. As the guard Pokemon are also Elite level it's tough for them detect Golett who is on par with them.
'But I am not so sure so I need to test first,'
"Okay, the first task is to cross-check. You don't need to steal anything. This is to check if the guard Pokemon will detect you or not. If they detect you, that means the prank failed, just run away and I too will leave. But if they don't find you then tell me what you saw inside in detail," I said clearly explaining the plan again.
"Golett lett" it said in excitement. Golett seemed more excited than me so I calmed it.
"Remember you are the best prankster, a prankster needs to be calm during the mission so that you can pull of the task perfectly," I said making it nod.
"Okay, go," I whispered making Golett sink into the ground. The dark barrier isn't present if a Pokemon comes through the ground so I don't need to worry.
This cross-checking is to make sure the Pokemon outside can't detect. If in case we get caught, we can just abandon the eggs and pretend nothing happened. They can't read my mind because the only mind reader in the Kingdom is Ethan's master. I already asked Ethan regarding his master helping us if we get caught.
Now, I just need to wait, 'it won't take more than 2 or 3 minutes', I thought and released Elekid out for translation.

After three minutes Golett appeared and started talking immediately,
" Lett Goletttt Go lett Golett....." it started explaining, I did not understand anything so I turned towards Elekid for translation.
[It said they couldn't detect if we enter directly through underground using ground energy,] said Elekid, which made me elated.
[But, Golett's saying something is odd, ] said Elekid again.
"Odd? What is it?" I ask back to which both Golett and Elekid communicated.
[Golett says there are 25 to 30 eggs that are separated from the huge bunch that were guarded by the two elite pokemon. The Skuntank was allowing some ghosts to enter every now and then for a brief period to absorb some energy.] translated Elekid.
'Hmmm, so they are controlling the agitation from ghost Pokemon by sacrificing some eggs huh?'
I guess sacrificing 20 eggs from 100 to 120 is worth it. This way Ghost Pokemon here dont go berserk or leave the breeding grounds for the next season. After all, they also get the Academy food that's not available anywhere in the wild.
"Okay, what about the eggs that are guarded strictly?" I asked.
[It said the plan might fail if we want the guarded eggs because Golett could feel the energy of a Peak Elite or even a King class Pokemon inside the room where those eggs are kept, so Golett did not risk going in, ] said Elekid after a 10 seconds talk.
'Ok, it makes sense!! I also thought that there might be a slight possibility for the academy to have a separate guard... That's the reason I asked Golett to check first. Now I have to be satisfied with those sacrificial eggs,' I thought and immediately said to Golett,
"Okay let's get those eggs that are put as a sacrifice. As they are half guarding the eggs for sacrifice, go in as a resident from the Cemetery and directly sink 10-15 eggs amongst them using ground energy and bring them here stealthily."
Golett nodded at my explanation and phased through the Ground.

After two minutes, Golett came back slowly manipulating the eggs through the ground. A small hole opened and the eggs came out in an orderly manner. It put them in front of me and said proudly,
"Golett, lett Golett"
"Yeah you did a great job Golett," I said patting him.
Eggs were smaller than expected and were of different colours but they did not have any patterns as they were recently laid. Probably after a month, the patterns slowly form around the shell which will be easy to detect but now it is impossible to know the species.
Making sure that Golett is not looking at my eyes, I turned my eye ability and gave a deep look at the eggs. The surroundings changed and I was presented with various colours...
Not this... this one is peak Yellow, ok this one is orange.... this one seems like a mid yellow...
After a 30 seconds scan, I categorised everything,
There were a total of 5 deep orange, 7 Yellow, 2 low green and 1 mid-green.
I immediately took the mid-green and said,
"Okay, Great job Golett!!! put the others back in their original space and now get the other set. You said there were around 25-30 eggs for sacrifice right? get the other batch," I said taking the mid-green ghost egg.
"Lett," he said and sunk through the ground along with the eggs.

'It's been a total of 12 minutes since the whole thing started, I hope we will get this done and dont stay past midnight,' I thought.
After two minutes, Golett came back with more eggs and put them in front of me. Let's see,
3 mid orange..... 2 Peak orange ... 2 low yellow, 3 mid yellow, 1 peak yellow.….....1 low green and 'Fuck!! !yess'
I finally found one 1 peak green. Even with all the high-quality Pokemon inside, there was only one peak green amongst the 30 eggs. I remember Professor Baldwin saying that all the Pokemon inside the breeding area are Green grade and above.
I stopped thinking about that and turned to Golett,
"Great job Golett!! Now put all the eggs back in the same place and dont leave any traces. Just cover the small hole through which you transported the eggs before leaving," I said picking the peak green egg.
"Goletttt!!!" it said and went back again.

Ethan POV:
My job is done. This Baldwin guy was too tired and had heavy eye bags, he seemed irritated to even see someone this late in the night. He immediately rejected my offer to obtain some information but at least he talked with me for 10-12 minutes after knowing I was the son of Daemon Frost.
Now I just need to wait some distance away from campus until Arthur comes with the eggs. Munna can Teleport the eggs that Ethan stole directly to the dorm room so that we won't get caught while walking in the dorm.
Munna with the help of my huge psychic power can do small distance teleport of tiny objects and living things. My last month practice was trying to get Munna to absorb my psychic power and perform small distance teleportation.
Luckily, everything is going well. ' I just hope the egg is worth the risk.'

After 15 long minutes, I saw 2 silhouettes in the distance. They were carrying 2 oval-shaped objects in their hands, I could almost see Arthur smiling crazily while walking towards our planned place of meeting.
"How was it? Did you guys succeed?" I asked in worry.
"Yeah but it was just a half success, we did not dare to take eggs from the guarding place of a King class Pokemon. The academy has a backup but they were considerate enough to put some eggs for sacrifice so we got this from there," he said pointing at the two eggs.
Arthur was holding the egg in his hands while the other was in Elekid's hand.
"Great, Now Munna..... teleport them immediately to my room," I said while releasing some psychic energy through my body.
Munna immediately absorbed the energy emitted from me and disappeared with the eggs,
"Woah !!! what was that? Munna has to absorb your power to perform teleport?" asked Arthur in doubt.
"Yeah, she doesn't have enough stored energy to perform individually but for now, let's hurry to dorms first...." I said turning towards the Wolks hall.
"Yeah, let's go... it's already 11:35 now. It took longer than I expected," said Arthur while walking.

Room 35 (Arthur's POV):
The eggs are in Ethan's room for now. That way, Munna can teleport to some other place if in case anyone comes for them. Now I should worry about dealing with Arden Vickster.
But I am not that worried about him because Arden himself infiltrated two kingdoms for getting the Pokemon he wanted. I am sure he would understand my point of view...

But unknown to Arthur, a Pokemon that looked like a Native American Totem pole had seen everything through its eyes. This Pokemon was the one that's guarding the main eggs. It immediately flew towards the Academy building where the head of the academy stays,

Note: I had a completely different plan but changed it yesterday. I loved the idea from one of the readers on not making the nobles look dumb, I felt that Arthur getting semi-caught would be more fun in a way and also be a learning experience of some sort.
Also, guys, he will not reveal to the outside about him having a ghost type till he goes for multiple missions in the wild. His excuse is that he caught the pokemon in the wild. Until then MC has only one Pokemon in the eyes of the students and other professors.
