Paul felt his great luck today. The system, then the welcome package, his first Pokemon, and now Ditto's potential being upgraded three color shades further. From Light Blue, Ditto's potential passed through Blue, Dark Blue, and settled on Light Indigo. He also realized that Ditto's gene sequence was easily changed or modified, thus it may have further benefited from the Pokemon Optimizer. Of course, this was just a hypothesis that Paul concluded, further tests are needed to be made before determining the actual effect of the Pokemon Optimizer to a Pokemon's gene sequence.

"Ditto~! ᕙ(•◡•)ᕗ " Ditto looked delighted with its upgrade, thus it tried to flex its non-existent muscles. It looked quite cute, with it flapping its small, protruded arms around.

Pleased with the Ditto's upgrade, Paul rubbed its head while his face draws a doting smile.

'Well, I'll be in your care, Ditto. Let's get along well.' He telepathically spoke.

Ditto cutely nodded its head. "Ditto-di~"

After verifying Ditto's data, a notification suddenly appeared.

Right after, Paul also initiated a complete conversation with Alakazam, who was quite bewildered with Paul's ease at telepathy. Coming back to his room after a whole conversation with Alakazam, another notification suddenly appeared.

Paul's birthday ended, with him reading books, and Ditto beside him trying to transform itself into different things it could find inside the library. Paul recommended this exercise to Ditto so that it could try to prolong its transformation time and exercise its speed of transformation. The whole mansion was full of smiles as the day concluded.

After his first birthday, Paul was able to convince his parents to find a private tutor for him, mainly for subjects regarding Pokemon Research and Pokemon Breeding. Thus, his days started to pass by faster. Paul studies with his tutor a few hours during afternoon of the weekdays. His tutor mainly works as a private tutor for children, specializing on teaching Pokemon Research and Pokemon Breeding.

Paul also added a daily morning run with Ditto, who uses his impostor ability to copy Paul's body and appearance, as he wants to grow well physically. Despite being a year old, his body has already developed the same as a three-year old's; and at the age of three, it is recommended to start physical activities for good physical body development. His psychic force is constantly being trained as he only talks to Ditto telepathically.

Charles Grayson, which was the tutor's name, was an alumnus of Pokemon Trainers' School that was located at Rustboro City. He further studied to take the test for the certification of teaching, which he passed after six years of studying. Now, Charles is only teaching Paul as his past student just graduated from the Pokemon Trainers' School this year.

He has gray hair and a pair of brown eyes that's always covered by his black-rimmed glasses. Charles just turned 30 this year, but he has been teaching for nearly 14 years. His parents were able to hire Charles because the parents of Charles' last student were business friends of his parents. They recommended Charles to his parents while they also recommended Paul as a new student of a friend's family to Charles.

Whenever Paul studies with his tutor, he takes back Ditto to his pokeball and carries him on his person. Charles did ask who's pokemon was inside the pokeball, and he answered that it was his parents'. Paul also noticed, that whenever Charles was inside the house, his parents were not showing up much. He only knows that Charles talks to his parents just right after coming in, and before going home. Once, Paul was able to see his parents while Charles was present and was shocked when he noticed that they had different faces; though Joseph's hair was still red, and Mary's eyes were still in the color of ruby.

Paul was able to notice that his parents' faces were changed by their pokemon, Ditto. He verified this by attempting to scan their faces and was able to get the data of their respective Dittos. He stayed silent regarding that matter, waiting for his parents' admission of what they were hiding from him.

Currently, Paul was having a study session with his tutor, Charles. For the basic topics of Pokemon Research, Charles was letting Paul memorize the different names of pokemons spanning eight regions. They were currently discussing the different pokemon entries of Kanto Region 'til the newly discovered Galar Region. Without Charles' knowledge, Paul was also memorizing other information of Pokemons, such as its type, possible locations, possible evolution forms, habitats, and possible moves that they could learn.

On the other hand, the basic topic for Pokemon Breeding is to distinguish a pokemon's state. These are physical states such as being sick, tired, sore, etc., and mental states such as being depressed, angry, melancholic, and more. This also involves battle state where Pokemon are burning, frozen, poisoned, paralyzed, and some other states.

It is important to monitor and distinguish the state of one's own Pokemon, especially the knowledge on getting them out of negative states. Battle states and physical states are easier to get off than mental states, that's why there are counseling services for either the trainer or Pokemon at Pokemon Center. However, for Paul, he studies by himself on how to get rid of negative states.

For him, the main role of having Charles as his tutor was having him as a guideline. His tutor was able to give him the booklists he should study for the next nine years regarding Pokemon Research and Pokemon Breeding. Thus, it was more convenient for him to expand the topic coverage of his book by himself, by basing on the booklist. Most of the books Charles recommended were necessary for taking the Elementary Breeder Exam and Elementary Researcher Exam.

Paul was planning on taking not only both exams, but also the Elementary Doctor Exam. To start his studies on Pokemon Medicine, he convinced his parents to bring him to Rustboro Pokemon Center. He met Nurse Joy there, whom he requested if she was able provide a booklist that he could have for the exam preparation.

She was glad that he took interest in medicine and immediately gave him the booklist she used when she was preparing for her Elementary Doctor Exam. Nurse Joy gave him her phone number and said to call her when he has any questions. If she has time, she could clarify it for him. Paul profusely thanked her while keeping her number safe. He would certainly take her offer if he does have any doubts regarding on what he would read.
