8 Perspective of Data

Mary was able to finish fixing up the table for their breakfast a few minutes after the conversation earlier with Paul. She was the one who cooked the food that was set upon the table. Speaking of food, Paul had enjoyed eating baby food. He never thought that baby food could be delicious. His parents were happy to see him eat anything that they gave him, as all of them were delicious and that he really wasn't a foodie. No, he really isn't. Maybe just a little. Okay, fine; he's a foodie, but eating good food is a happy thing in life. Now, for his birthday, his mom made him spaghetti, fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, fried rice, and a birthday cake.

Interestingly, the birthday cake design was based on an ordinary pokeball. As toppings, there were miniature candy pokemons, specifically his parents' pokemons. They were arranged into shaping the number "1", with a candle directly in the middle. It was quite cute, to be honest. After the table was set up, his dad was finally able to finish putting back the books at the library and entered the dining room.

The three of them sat on the table, while only occupying the right side of it. Paul sat between his parents, as they conversed with him on what he wanted to eat so that they could put it on his plate. He let them as he couldn't reach the food to serve himself. Paul looked around and felt something missing. He then realized, after a few seconds, that no pokemon were at the table currently to eat with them. So, he took the initiative to ask his parents. "Mom, Dad, where are the pokemons?"

"They're outside. We'll have another celebration with them right after eating. It's kind of part of your surprise." Joseph took the chance to speak first.

"Oh, okay. I would like that. I really also want to celebrate my birthday with them." Paul replied to his dad. After speaking gratitude for the meal, he and his parents started eating.

It took a while before they were done eating. As they were cleaning up the table, Paul suddenly spoke up to his parents. "Thank you, guys."

"You're welcome." His parents said in unison while warmly smiling towards their son.

Right after cleaning up, Mary and Joseph went to the kitchen to get the Poke Blocks and Poke Puffs prepared for the pokemons' meal that was meant for today's celebration. Then, they went through the glass doors that directs them outside, particularly towards the lawn of the mansion. Going outside, Paul was able to see the set up for his outdoor celebration. It was quite simple; a long picnic table covered with a red tablecloth could be seen, with each of the pokemons food bowl already set up above it.

As his parents were filling up each of the bowls, the pokemons finally appeared. Thankfully, they were all clean as they haven't started today's daily training yet. They filed neatly beside the table, with six pokemon on each side. The larger ones were at the edges of the table while those who were on the slimmer side are positioned in the middle. As he saw the pokemons, Paul remembered a feature of his system, which is [Scan].

Curiously, he read 'Scan' wordlessly, while resting his gaze on Alakazam.

As Paul recalls, he could only see the specific level and moves of his own pokemon. For wild and owned pokemons, he could only get their general level and innate moves. Finding the respective span of levels of Pokemons in his memory, Paul remembered the following:

¦ Level 1-15 = Normal

¦ Level 16-30 = Adept

¦ Level 31-45 = Veteran

¦ Level 46-60 = Expert

¦ Level 61-70 = Pseudo Elite

¦ Level 71-80 = Elite

¦ Level 81-85 = Pseudo Champion

¦ Level 86-90 = Champion

¦ Level 91-95 = Pseudo Master

¦ Level 96-100 = Master

He also recollected that the number of innate moves of a Pokemon has depends on its potential. Red having one innate move, Orange having two innate moves, Yellow having three innate moves, and so on, until Violet having seven innate moves. The color of the rainbows, ROYGBIV, represents the potential of a Pokemon from the least to highest respectively. Potential covers until what level boundary a Pokemon could reach, its talent on mastering and learning moves, and how it could handle certain attribute energy. The color potential could be subdivided into three stages: [Light], [the color itself], and [Dark]. These are what Paul could remember specifically regarding a Pokemons potential.

¦ Red

⁃ 1 Innate Skill

⁃ Normal Potential (Rookie Pokemon)

¦ Orange

⁃ 2 Innate Skills

⁃ Uncommon Potential (Adept Pokemon)

¦ Yellow

⁃ 3 Innate Skills

⁃ Great Potential (Veteran Pokemon)

¦ Green

⁃ 4 Innate Skills

⁃ Rare Potential (Expert Pokemon)

¦ Blue

⁃ 5 Innate Skills

⁃ Epic Potential (Pseudo Elite and Elite Pokemon)

¦ Indigo

⁃ 6 Innate Skills

⁃ Unique Potential (Pseudo Champion and Champion Pokemon)

¦ Violet

Paul moved his gaze from Alakazam to Gengar and tried to scan him.

He also tried to see the data of Charizard and Salamence.

These four pokemons are the strongest, two belonging to each of his parent, with all of them being Pseudo Elite. The rest of the pokemons' potential varied from Light Green to Dark Green, and their level of strength was around the Expert boundary. As Paul was looking around to see each pokemon's data, he felt his world open a door, specifically a brand-new perspective of data.
