3 Ash's Achievements? [3]

Opening up the browser on the newly discovered laptop. I started to search some stuff up as the internet was a whole source of information my mind could use.

'Would this work?' I thought searching up two keywords.

[Indigo League]

*Click*

Pressing enter on the search bar, I was eventually led to the official website of the Indigo League. With it shows things such as recent winners, tickets to watch at the stadium, teams of certain popular figures and a multitude of options to press.

'Tickets for seats huh.'

Scanning the website in a bit of curiosity, my eyes lock onto another search bar inside the website. It allowed me to search for any present or past participant in the Indigo League.

Not only will this give me some info but if Ash exists. But confirm the timeline depending on what's given.

Clicking on it I type [Ash Ketchum]

"The information is pretty accurate," I murmur looking at everything I could see. The profile only showed a few things but that was enough to confirm my suspicions that I'm in the anime.

Scrolling back up I realised that Ash's name had a blue hue signalling that he had an account that was possible to look at. While it was totally possible the first season of the anime just finished, I highly doubt that.

Getting onto Ash's Pokemon League profile is when I finally got the deep information.

'What in the f*ck is happening with Ash's side tournaments?'

With a shocked Pikachu face staring into the screen in front of me, I couldn't take my eyes away from his achievements. Brother not only had a 69% win rate for side tournaments but has won some cups that people have strived for their whole life.

Just a distant thought but there are people in the Pokemon world who dream their whole life to win a PokeRinger or P1 Grand Prix. Just like how people idolise winning something like a UFC belt or a major in CS:GO.

It's explicitly stated in some anime episodes that there were "legends" and veterans of the sport who spent their whole lives prepping for such stuff.

With PokeRinger being a sport some of the rich enjoyed, someone like James from Team Rocket had fond memories of watching it. Such things cannot be denied that Ash is talented at winning at everything besides his main goal.

That's just ridiculous...

'Ash also shows literal improvement in his placements though.' I thought with some sweat going down my face.

This guy is a full-blown genius, yes it took him 25 years at the age of 10 to achieve it.

It's still impressive becoming a Monarch at any age.

Ignoring the black-and-white anime, Ash's placement goes something like this.

16th-8th-8th-4th-2nd

Until he finally becomes a Monarch which is not a question more valuable than a league conference, it's a global event with each region's champions participating.

'Alright enough with the glazing.' I thought a little amused.

According to the official Pokemon League website Ash should be currently at Hoenn with six badges, just two shy of joining the Ever Grande Conference. This honestly gives me a bit of relief as I can take advantage of some stuff like Pokemon locations.

Not completely sure what happens between gyms 6-8 though as I kind of skim-watched it all. Pretty sure he doesn't have Snowrunt yet as he catches the little guy kind of late.

While it is sad I'll miss out on baby Lugia, free Charmander, Sewer Bulbasaur and many more, there are still loads of Pokemon for me to catch anyway.

That's what I would say if I was going to catch a whole heap of Pokemon!

But I'll be the exact opposite of teenager me in the Pokemon games.

Quality over quantity in Pokemon makes more sense, especially because this isn't a game and that type advantages can be fought through.

It's factually better to have a high-level Pokemon team with multiple weaknesses as you can play around that. There's a reason why type specialists exist with almost all elite 4 and some champions being one themselves like Lance and Steven Stone/Wallace.

Ironically being able to brute force wins is an effective way to win a Pokemon battle as seen by Lance.

But that's just a one-off example, I need to watch more matches.

My goal is to keep a team of around 7-9 Pokemon with all different types, trying to get a resistance/immunity and have an stab-effective type against all types. It's a bit ambitious but with some smart catches, nothing is impossible.

Having only six isn't good as it makes countering my team easy due to knowing my tactics.

I can't have one Pokemon carry me through a league.

So being able to switch it up is good.

'Let's see some starters.'

Creating a new tab I searched up the Kanto starters and there were two websites.

[Official.OakLabs.com/regional_starters/]

[Official.PokemonLeagueKanto.com/regional_starters/]

'Having "Official" in the URL is probably used as little confirmation that they are reliable.'

Going through each website it was basically the same thing, explaining the basics about each starter which was foreseen. But more thought about it why should I get one of the three Kanto starters?

Going through other websites I pulled up a certain starter Pokemon from a different region.

The idea was to ask to get this instead of a Kanto starter.

"Sunny! Food is ready!" A familiar voice shouts removing me from my thoughts.

Getting up from my seat I look back at my desk one more time. Seeing a notebook with a pen on top, gave me an idea. For now, though, I bring my laptop with me and head down.

'I can write down notes and tips on being a trainer like Sawyer.' I offhandedly thought.

...

Sitting down on a table finishing up what was Pidgey stew, I opened my laptop out in front of my new parents. The food was a surprise but in the end quite delicious like chicken, but that isn't the focus right now.

"Mum, Dad, I wanted to ask if I could get a starter other than the Kanto ones..." I say trailing off.

It was still awkward for me to communicate as it wasn't my particular strong suit back in my past life. But this seemed to have done the job as they looked at my laptop in interest.

This laptop contained a picture of my desired starter!

"Are you sure you want something else? People from Kanto are usually inclined to use Pokemon only from here." Father said an awkwardly stern tone.

Mother who heard his words though quickly snapped at him changing my perception a little on the caring woman.

"So!" She says pushing him a little. Looking back at me she had a gentle smile. "Don't worry Sunny I'll ask Nurse Joy how we can do it tomorrow when we shop alright?"

Nodding at her words I decide to say one more thing on the dinner table.

"Can we buy tickets to the Ever Grande Conference this year? I wanted to watch some Pokemon battles up close, we can make it a family trip..." I say purposely quieting down near the end. Mother who heard this couldn't hold it in anymore and got out of her seat.

Without any words spoken she rushed up to me and pinched my cheeks, snuggling me into a tight hug.

"Of course! Right honey?"

So, who looked at his wife's scary smile wasn't affected. Instead, he had a bright smile and sparkling eyes at the idea. It's not like he minded something like this, he's just not a people person from what the anime episode said.

"What brought this up, we could just watch the Indigo Conference here?" He asked curiously not really caring much.

Hearing this I take a small pause.

I couldn't just tell the guy it was because I wanted to see my favourite anime character battle. Ever since his story ended my mind has been thinking about what if I was there?

Thankfully I could twist the answer a little but still tell the truth.

"While looking through the different conferences, I saw a Kanto trainer with a cool Pokemon registered and I'm sure he'll be there," I say hoping the guy wouldn't double-check that fact. Ash had indeed not gotten all badges yet but this made the most sense.

Surely someone recorded the Thunder Armour scene in the 6th gym for me to show.

Dad hearing this didn't question further which was a relief. But to give me another attack he looked down at my pockets as it currently had my wallet.

"Sunny I want you to know that your account has 14,500₱. It has the savings we got for your Pokemon journey. Don't spend any of it unless it's for your Pokemon or adventure right now alright?" He says softening his voice.

Hearing him mellow down a bit I calm down processing his words.

Being a responsible spender wouldn't be hard for me.

After some random chatting with my parents, it was time to sleep, even though it was still 8:50, they wanted me to get all the rest possible.

To which I didn't decline, I'm a kid now.

Snuggling into the bedsheets in my new room I stared at the ceiling for a bit.

'I hope this isn't a dream.'

...

[Sunny Haruto POV (Saffron Shopping District)]

'It's not a dream.' I inwardly sigh.

Walking forward with my mother, my somewhat weakened state left me only able to lift three bags for her. This body when it fully recovers needs to go through some sort of conditioning, probably repeating what I originally did for Muay Thai.

Imagine teaching a fighting-type how to grapple and use elbows + knees.

A thought for later like always.

But still, this, unfortunately, breaks my pride in being able to hold all of the groceries in the future, one-stop trips won't be possible!

Looking around it was common that multiple Pokemon were walking by people. While not everyone seems to be trainers, these pocket monsters are a sort of pet. Pokemon like Growlithe, the Three Kanto Starters, Vulpix and Eevee were the most common ones.

Every time I'd see one my eyes would shine which my mother noticed. As much as I wanted to interact with them, I'll hold off until I get my starter.

"Sunny, are you alright with all those bags?" My mother, Sue, asks covering her mouth amused at the sight.

Staring at her with a determined gaze I couldn't be shamed like this! Not only would I need to let my youth out and train later on, but I'll need to prove myself again next time we go shopping.

I will not let go of this grudge mother.

Especially since she's holding a few grocery bags of her own...

"Yes! I want to drop the groceries to the car so I can buy stuff for my future Pokemon!" I respond in an upbeat tone, hiding my misery.

"Yes, yes! We will head to the car now and then first head to the Pokemon Center to ask about how to get your little starter."

Clapping her hands together we made our way back to the car and headed back.

While shopping I realised mother didn't care too much about expenses and just went with the flow of things.

Before we got to any major stores though I spotted a small store that sold Pokeballs.

"Can we go there please?" I ask, tugging on her shirt making. Sue hearing me gains stars in her eyes.

Guess what starter he will have here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
