Bug Town

20th January 1995

Kanto Region, Bug Town

It had been 10 days in Viridian Forest, The last days living in the wild had been an eye opener to Red as he learned more about strategy in Pokemon Battling and not always relying on a Pokemon's brute strength in a battle. He also increased his tree size from 3m to 4m which was a significant improvement although Red planned to at least reach 5m.

Bug Town, a paradise for the trainers of Bug Pokemon and also the home of the Unofficial Bug town gym leader, Miss Olivia Bugg.

Bug town had been a town for 50 years now and it was founded by Kent Bugg in the year 1945!

Red and Yellow were currently standing at the League checkpoint to Bug town, Their hands pressed against their chests. Red hadn't forged any identification for Yellow although he planned to make one here, You don't need IDs to enter Bug town... Your ID's were your Bug Pokemon.

They had already seen Scyther BUT Yellow's egg was being inspected as it wasn't certain to be a Bug Pokemon's egg.

Yellow felt fear grip her heart as the thought of Red abandoning her was fresh in her mind, causing her to panic...

Red on the other hand was thinking of where else to go to get her ID forged if it wasn't the egg of a Bug Pokemon...

Well the panic simply died down as it was announced to be...

"A Weedle Egg," A young man said, "I have 20 Beedrills in my hive and I know the patterns of their eggs,"

Yellow heaved a sigh of relief while Red...

'What kind of sick maniac would have 5 Beedrills, Nevertheless 20! Are you trying to get yourself killed?' Red ranted inwardly.

Soon, they were allowed to pass.

Bug town was as big as it was rumored, It's length stretching over a mile, It could become a city although the population was dragging it down because not many people would settle down in a place with bugs, especially trainers with Bug Phobia.

Red was honestly surprised, They were in the town square and the buildings seemed ever so unique. Each roof was made with a special type of roof only found in the Viridian Forest, It was from the Bark tree.

The houses though weren't made out of wood but they were still cool looking and Red felt nicely comforted by the serene presence of the beautiful Town square until he was interrupted by a single word that snapped him out of his serene state.

"Yo Red!" Blue exclaimed as Red turned to him, His crimson orbs piercing the other boy's blue ones, They were locked in a hateful glare.

Their rivalry sparking in the air but Yellow's presence calmed Red down, It did do much more damage to Blue though.

"Red, is that a girl I see there?" Blue asked as he finally walked to Red. Right now, He was standing a few meters away from Red and his eyes were on Yellow who looked very pretty.

"May I know your name?" Blue asked.

"Y... Yellow," Yellow replied, she turned away from Blue although her shy nature made their meeting a bit awkward.

"And why are you with Red, You know he's a big virgin right?" Blue asked, a smug smile on his face as he said that.

"Red... saved me from a horde of Beedrill, and is he really a virgin?" Yellow asked.

"Yes, He's a really big virgin." Blue replied but he was shocked when he saw a look of happiness in Yellow's eyes.

Red couldn't help but sigh.

"Yellow, I can see you smile," Red said and her face suddenly turned tomato red as she turned away.

"I wasn't doing... Anything," Yellow stuttered but Red was having nothing of it as he grabbed her hand and raised it right to Blue's face.

"Do you want a Pokemon Battle or not?" Red asked.

"I do," Blue replied, "But is your bug Pokemon strong enough? I'm sure you came here with a Caterpie, poor little Red,"

An official Arena in Bug town could be rented for 5 Pokedollars for an hour and Red rented the arena, Some people who weren't busy sat in the stands, ready for a battle although it seemed to be a battle between rookies, A Pokemon battle was still a Pokemon battle.

Red took back Scyther's Pokeball, During these 10 days, Red hadn't focused on leveling up for Scyther but rather he was focused more on speed and attacking power.

Blue took back his own Bug Pokemon, His hands trembling with excitement at finally showing Red who was boss.

"Go, Scyther!"

"Go, Heracross!"

The two bug Pokemon appeared on the arena, The two trainers glared at each other, their Pokemon did the same.

Unbeknown to them, A woman wearing a black hoodie with green hair was discretely watching them.

"Scyther, Shoot forward and then Pursuit!"

"Pitiful move, Did you really catch a Pokemon with such a pitiful move list? Heracross, Stand your ground and then Bullet Punch!"

Red's tongue clicked in annoyance, TMs were the worst and it wasn't like he couldn't afford them, No he'd rather teach his Pokemon the moves themselves but Blue thought different.

A thin black aura shrouded Scyther as Scyther moved forward, faster than what even Blue could see and collided with Heracross's stomach, The Pokemon stood it's ground, it's fists glowing in a metallic light.

Red didn't need to give an order as Scyther suddenly turned into 5 Scythers, Heracross was confused now and Red was going to use it to his advantage.

"Aerial Ace!" Red ordered.

Scyther was soon covered in a light blue aura and it suddenly faded, Heracross was sent flying backwards by the incredible force behind the attack but Scyther wasn't done yet.

"Finish it off, Steel Wing!" Red ordered.

"Not so fast, Protect!" Blue ordered.
