First Gym Match 4

As Roark sent the Onex the atmosphere became serious again. Even though Ash and team were surprised by the turtwigs performance they knew they can think about it later and first focus on the match.

I was also looking at the Onex. I know Roarks Onex was pretty strong in the anime, it can use various moves like stealth rock, slam and more importantly double edge with no recoil which was the killing move for the turtwig in anime and that screech move which was used to defeat the pickachu, It was also fast so attacking it from a distance also becomes difficult.

As I was thinking about these things Ash again gave instructions to me

"Turtwig use razor leaf"

And again I started running towards the Onex.

"Oh you are using the same move again Ash but you can't fool me this time"

As Roark said knowing I will closing the distance between and after dodging Onex attack with using razor leaf.

Ash was still confused on what's happening

"Onex use slam!! "

As Onex used slam

"Turtwig dodge"

Well why not, I dodged the attack but still running towards Onex and as Roarks ready for it

"Onex now use screech"

As turtwig was very near to Onex screech would have been direct hit but now it's not as I with my increased reflexes and strength jumped enough to get out of screech's range and then used razor leaf. And the razor leaf hit perfectly to Onex and gave good damage.

This again surprised Roark it was not because of the razor leaf as in his mind he knew Ash has preplanned it but it was not about startegy this time even if that turtwig knew it needs to dodge the screech it was very difficult so dodging it shows just how much good it's reflexes and speed are and it again executed the razor leaf at critical time when Onex couldn't dodge it, he has not seen such a deadly pokemon.

As he was thinking turtwig again used razor leaf and Roark saw a chance.

"Now's our chance Onex dodge it and use double edge"

As Onex dodged it and used double edge I was expecting this as similar scenario happend in anime and I was ready for it as Onex came towards me I also started running towards it and as Onex going to hit me I jumped with a forward spin.

Well even though I blame Ash for not being smart and never train his pokemons there were some times when Ash used his brain and also trained his pokemons some tricks like this time when he lost in gym he taught this spinning dodge to his pokemons. Well it was obvious that they all forgot about it later but I didn't and as Pickachu used this dodge against Ramperdos in anime I used it against Onex and this was beyond anyone's expectations as they were seeing it with amazement where I was spinning in air and Onex with double edge going through the place I was before and when Onex's head came right below me I started using razor leaf while spinning. It looked similar to the Contra game where player shooting bullets while doing spinning jump. As the razor leafs directly hit the Onex and hit all of it's body as he went through below me and at the last movement when it's tail was passing me I used bite and stayed on Onex's body. And before anyone could figure out what's happening I again used undetectable absorb and absorbed Onex's remaining energy.

With this Onex lost the match it happened very quickly but everyone knew it was not quick there were many things happened in between even Paul was standing up surprised still figuring out how this happened. Ash was just flagbastered he didn't know what to say. And Roark was standing there still thinking how his plan turned against him like the opponent was expecting Onex will dodge the razor leaf and use a fast doble edge without any next moves in his head as if it will be direct hit.

"Ash you are surprising me again and again today I have never seen such a strong turtwig before it has very good reflexes and the spinning last jump to avoid the double edge it was amazing and you also taught it to use razor leaf while spinning that's called deadly combo even if I knew it can use it, it's still difficult to defend "

While Roark was complementing Ash, Brock on the other side was also analyzing it

"When did Ash taught Turtwig such great moves, I knew turtwig was training on its reflexes on it's own , has Ash gave him some advise to Turtwig when I was not present"

As Brock was talking to himself seeing Turtwig's moves Dawn also became excited.

"Those are some very good moves I can use them in my next contest using piplup and bunerry"

Paul after seeing this knew what will happen next so he just stood up and left the gym.

Well and it was as he expected nothing surprising happened that as Roark used his third pokemon Geodude who was his weakest pokemon in his trio and after dodging his rollouts the same way I did here I hit him with razor leaf two times and as it was super effective it also lost in no time.

With this Ash won his first gym match.

"Ash I have never seen such strong pokemon trainer like you who came to challenge me to get the gym batch this time around from when sinnoh league was announced. I still regret using my cranidos early I would have liked if I could fight that turtwig with full strength of cranidos but it will be next time you, can take this badge for now"

Saying this he gave the badge to Ash.

"Well see you, I am looking forward to your matches in sinnoh league"

Well he didn't even doubt that Ash would not be able to participate in sinnoh league.

"Yes see you Roark"

With this our team departed from the gym.

"Ash can you also please help me with teaching the moves turtwig was using to piplup!! "

Dawn asked while they were walking

"Ha.. ha sure why not"

He still didn't know how he won this badge didn't he just asked turtwig to use razor leaf two times and dodge one time but he still won.

Was this always that easy to win gym battles , Ash who has just traveled to sinnoh region was getting some different misunderstandings and he forgot about the part where he needs to explain his turtwig to only follow his instructions.
