7 Chapter 7

It's been a week since the mega evolution problem has been resolved, Prof. Sycamore research on Mega Stone was successful and somehow I got my name as an assistant and became popular once again.

Evan couldn't help but sigh as researching was only a hobby but he was getting famous as a researcher not as a trainer.

And the day has come, Evan decided to start his journey.

Steven has left to find stones to Dewford town yesterday.

And Evan decided to challenge Rustboro gym today as it is in his own hometown.

*Knock knock*

"Young master,breakfast is ready"

"Alright uncle butler" Evan responded.

Dressed neatly, Evan wore his trainer clothes, blue pants, black-blue sneakers and his spatical ring.

"Let's go Sylveon, our journey starts today"

"vee~~sylveonnn~~" Sylveon responded.

After finishing breakfast, Evan bid farewell to everyone and Mr. Stone was being emotional that it took Evan abit of time confronting him.

After walking for a while, Evan and Sylveon finally arrived at the entrance of the Rustboro gym.

Although it's just 10 meters away from home.

Looking at the design of the door wrapped up in rocks, you can conclude that it's a Rock type gym.

"Okay, let's go in Sylveon", Evan took the lead opened the door and walked into the gym.

Sylveon and Evan walked through the corridor to the arena venue, the center of the battlefield is a classic rock arena.

"Hello, I'm Evan Stone and I'm here for the gym battle"

"Welcome to Rustboro gym, I'm Roxane, gym leader of Rustboro gym"

Roxane welcomed politely.

The match official begins!

"The rules are a knockout match using two pokemons and a gym leader cannot change Pokemons only a challenger may change his Pokemon"

Roxane introduced to the rules politely.

"Come out, Geodude", Roxane's first Pokemon was as expected a rock type.

" I choose you", Evan did not hestitate and directly sent out a newly evolved Milotic.

Milotic evolved 2 days ago with the help of prism scale Evan bought from Pokemon item shop, as the favourability reach 80% , it wasn't difficult for Feebas to evolve.

Evan took an inspection on Milotic after releasing.

Skills : Flail, Splash, Tackle, Water gun, Wrap, Disarming voice, Twister, Aqua ring, Attract, Life dew, Dragon tail, Recover, Aqua tail, Rain dance]

After quick inspection, Evan initiated the fight.

"Milotic, use water gun"

"Geodude, defense curl and use roll out"

"Milotic, aqua ring followed by aqua tail"

Boom! The combination attack of aqua ring and aqua tail sent geodude flying out of the ring as a rock type water type moves were effective and Geodude looses it's ability to fight directly.

"This power-", Roxane sighed.

And the second Pokemon Roxane sent out was Nosepass.

Evan use inspect on Nosepass.

Level : Late Gym

Qualification : Elite ]

Although Nosepass level was 7 level higher, Evan decided to hold onto Milotic because of it's type advantage.

"Milotic, Dragon tail" Evan took initiative to attack first.

"Nosepass, block it", Roxane chose to take it hard. The weight of Nosepass left no choice but to receive the attack.

Boom! Dragon tail hit it head on, Nosepass blocked it with two arms and took three step back.

"Oh as expected of milotic" Roxane nodded.

"It's our turn Nosepass, rock seal"

As Nosepass arms waved, countless rocks rushed towards Milotic, directly hitting it.

However Evan didn't panic and calmly commanded.

"Milotic recover "

Roxane smiled awkwardly "this is Very exhausting".

" Milotic, aqua tail", Evan once again launched a quick attack.

Nosepass received a critical blow this time.

"Nosepass, use sandstorm" Roxane commanded.

Evan smiled glancing at the sight of sandstorm.

"Milotic, Rain dance"

"Mmmmm~~", as milotic uses rain dance the sandstorm ceased to dissipate.

" End it with Aqua tail"

The attack hit Nosepass hard directly and fell to the ground and made it loose the ability to fight.

"Nosepass is unable to battle, Milotic wins and the winner of the match is Evan" The referee announced the result.

"We won" Evan cheered.

"Mmm~~" "Veonn~sylveonn~" Milotic and Sylveon also cheered together.

"Evan, your bond with your Pokemon is really perfect" Roxane admired, "I didn't expect I would loose this match".

" Thank you for your advice", Evan nodded seriously.

"This is stone badge you earned", Roxane gave stone badge to Evan.

"Thank you", Evan took the stone badge and made a V sign "I got the stone badge".

In this way, Evan defeated Rustboro gym leader beautifully and won his first badge, and moved to the next gym.
