26 Chapter 26 The Battle in the Mosdeep Gym
Early in the morning, Ash and the others looked at the entrance of Pokémon center anxiously, Evan did not return last night.
It was until Evan appeared in front of everyone, Ash, Max, May and Brock breathe a sigh of relief.
"Evan did you stay all night for a special training?" Ash asked Evan curiously.
"You guys will find out in the gym battle" Evan said with a smile and a dark circle under his eyes.
"It's still early , you should sleep for a while before the gym battle" Brock reminded Evan to sleep looking at his appearance.
Evan nodded as he gave his Pokéball to nurse joy for a check upup, then went to a room wrapped himself in blanket and fell asleep.
"I wonder what kind of special training Evan did yesterday" May said as she was lost in thought.
"I guess it must be a high intensity practice" Max said as he pushed his glass "just now I saw nurse Joy carrying a large number of recovery medicine into the consultation room."
"We won't admit defeat either, we must get the seventh badge today right Pikachu" After playing at the Space center yesterday, the energetic Ash was not to be outdone.
"Pi~pikachu~" Pikachu gave a thumbs up to Ash.
After sleeping for a while, Evan woke up, washed his face and retrieved his Pokémon.
After eating a casual breakfast, Evan felt refreshing."then let's go get our seventh badge"
Evan and his party rushed to the Mosdeep gym, the gym leaders, Liza and Tate were already waiting for their arrival.
Entering the battle field in the Mosdeep gym, everyone couldn't help but amazed, there were many round spheres lurking in air similar to planet and stars.
"Welcome to the Mosdeep gym everyone, here not only the ground but also the planets and stars floating in the air are a part of the battle field" Liza explained briefly to everyone.
"Yes, I understand" Evan took out the pokéball that he had specially prepared for the gym battle and came to the challenger's ring. Brock and others also boarded on the side of the stands.
"The official double match between the gym leader Liza, Tate and the challengers may begin. There is no time limit to the match, when both pokémon lose their ability to fight from the either side, the match will be over." The referee turned out to be a woman with blue hair and glasses from yesterday and she turned out to be the mother of the twin gym leaders, Liza and Tate.
"It seems that how you handle the small planets and stars will be the key to the competition." Max analyzed the battle field and said.
"It defends on how Evan handles it" Brock nodded as he patiently waiting for the match to begin.
"Please send out your Pokémon to the battlefield" The referee raised her hands.
"Go Solrock"
"Lunatone"
Liza and Tate send out their Pokémon decisively. Both are meteorite pokémon of psychic and rock type.
"Come out, buddies" Evan threw out his Luxury balls forcefully.
"Sceptile~~" "Gallade~~" The two cool looking pokémon appeared in the fieldfield showing their sharp blades on their elbow full with domineering.
"Wow it's Sceptile! Did grovyle evolved yesterday!" Max immediately had little stars in his eyes.
"Solrock ,use giga impact" Tate gave his order,"Lunatone you also giga impact" Followed by Liza.
As soon as the two siblings initiated they used a combined giga impact, intending to catch them off guard.
"Sceptile get behind Gallade, Gallade quick use wide guard" Evan didn't panic and commanded calmly. "Gallade~" Gallade's move shielded them against the combination attack of Solrock and Lunatone without hesitation.
"It's now Sceptile, Gallade, Leaf blade" Evan swung forward with one hand, and Sceptile leapt up and appeared from behind Gallade, the blades on the elbows of Sceptile and Gallade shone with light emerald green, suddenly crossed and hit Solrock and Lunatone.
Boom two meteorite Pokémon flew backwards.
"Surprisingly he and his pokémon is cooperative, it's not going to be easy, Liza" Tate frowned as he watched their Pokémon flying backwards.
"Since you can't directly take on" Liza analyzed the situation "Lunatone revolve around the small planet"
"Good idea I'm coming too, Solrock hide behind the planet to charge with solar beam"
The two siblings looked at Evan with a smile and thought they could catch Evan off guard.
"You shouldn't have let me see where solrock was going to accumulate it's solar energy" Evan sneered.
"Sceptile use leaf blade to chop that little planet for meme, Gallade let's use your new brand move, attack with Aura Sphere" Evan gave up on attacking Lunatone and decided to concentrate on Solrock.
"No.. Lunatone quick assist Solrock" Liza's expression changed.
But it was too late as Sceptile chopped out the planet Solrock was hiding the Aura sphere came rushing towards Solrock which got him off guard directly loosing the ability to fight.
Solrock was instantly sent flying to the wall with explosion.
"Sceptile use bullet seed on Lunatone" Evan shifted to Lunatone instantly.
"Lunatone, use ice beam" Boom bullet seed and Ice beam collided with each other.
"Why didn't you support me! " Tate couldn't help but complain.
"Can't you see my lunatone was also being attacked" Liza restorted angrily.
"Since you got time to quarrel, I'm not going to go easy on you, Sceptile, Gallade, use leaf blade" Evan didn't let go of the opportunity and seized it to attack Lunatone.
"Evan has win this match" Brock said with certainty.
As the double leaf hit Lunatone, it was sent directly flying against the wall loosing it's ability to fight.
"The battle is over and Evan wins" Rachel sighed as she announced the results.
On the other side, Liza and Tate were arguing with each other.
"It's your fault Liza, you didn't support well"
"obviously it was your fault using solar beam at such a bad timing"
"What did you say!?!"
Evan covered his face, these two siblings really downgraded the gym.
"Their cooperation is so poor and to think they were quarreling during a match" Max couldn't help but say it.
"You're right, their cooperation is completely out of place." Brock also shook his head.
"Then can I have the badge please" Evan stepped forward helplessly between the siblings.
Liza sighed and gave Evan the Mind Badge, "I got the Mind Badge" "Sceptile~~" "Gallade~" Evan did the Ash's posture snd his Pokémon supported him.
Although Evan successfully got the badge there was still a gym battle between Ash.
"After half an hour intermission, we'll start Ash's gym challenge" Rachel reminded.
"Alright" Ash nodded understandingly.
After a short breakbreak, Ash also stepped on to the battle arena. Through the tacit cooperation of Pikachu and Swellow, although Liza and Tate adjusted their mentality,it still did not prevent Ash from winning.
Pikachu's thunder armed itself and Swellow into a golden shining thunder form.In the end Swellow's lightning flashed with the power of thunder successfully defeating Solrock and Lunatone. When Evan saw this scene he couldn't help but applaud for Ash.
After the two hearty Gym battle, it was already sunset. Everyone bid farewell to Liza and Tate at the entrance of the Mosdeep gym.
In this way both Evan and Ash earned their 7th Badge, now it's only one badge away from hoenn league qualification...
