Chapter 15: A Call To Action

A/N: So just to clarify, here is the MC harem.

Now onto the chapter.

Sitting in the pokemon center cafeteria I ate my breakfast. My pokemon doing the same all around me.

While Elesa sat opposite of me, her and her pokemon doing the same thing.

A week has passed since we both obtained the Basic Badge from Lenora and decided to travel together.

As to why we are still in Nacrene City, it's because I wanted to explore the place a bit before leaving and Elesa was in agreement with me.

Thus the two of us did an entire city tour.

We saw some pokemon battles, saw some art shows, and even did a tour of the Nacrene City museum.

It was wonderful.

But today it is time for us to depart.

Taking a drink of my water I looked at Elesa. "So, is there anyhwre you want to go before we head to Castelia City? Like Pinwheel Forest."

Elesa shook her head. "No, I went there. It's where I met my cute liltle Joltik." She informed me.

While her Joltik bristled in happiness from Elesa's words.

"Alright then. So straight to Castelia it is." I said.

Just after I did so my phone started blaring.

As did Elesa's.

In fact, the phones of every single trainer around started blaring with an alert.

Slipping my phone out of my pocket I unlocked it, and then looked to see it was an emergency call to action from all able bodied trainers from the Unova Pokemon Association.

Which we can't refuse.

Being a pokemon trainer is a privilege, not a right.

As such, there are certain obligations trainers must fulfill.

Such as assisting a region's pokemon association when they call upon us. Even if you are in a different region you must answer the call of able. Otherwise you will face serious consequences.

All trainers understand this and accept this.

It's one of the prices we must pay for being allowed to do what we do.

On another small note, the various pokemon association's of the world also offer quests for trainers to complete so they can earn money. Namely, if they are not competing in a regional gym circuit and just going around training or other such things.

Opening my phone I clicked on the alert, and read the details of the emergency situation.

Apparently a trainer tried to capture a Galvantula in Pinwheel Forest, but it didn't want to leave its colony. So the trainer tried to forcefully make it do so, and ended up pissing off group.

Which are now rampaging, and heading in the direction of Nacrene City.

"Idiot!" Elesa angrily roared. "If a pokemon doesn't want to join you, then don't force it."

I nodded my head in agreement.

If a pokemon truly didn't want me to be its trainer then I would release it without question.

But then there are idiots like this joker who won't take no for an answer. Now we have to clean up the mess he made.

It seems all trainers are to mobilize and help evacuate civilians in the path of the Galvantula colony. While gym leader Lenora and the local rangers work to calm them down.

The moment I finished reading the details I explained the situation to my pokemon, while Elesa did the same to hers.

Once we were done we returned all of them and headed out.

Other trainers following suit.

I can already tell this is going to be a long ass day.

(3rd Person: POV)

After leaving the city limits in the direction of Pinwheel Forest, Ezra released Ladon and Elesa released her Zebstrika.

The two them mounted their respective pokemon, and started riding them towards where the evacuation was taking place.

They both knew they could reach it faster using such a method.

So in just under 15 minutes they reached the designated area.

Already spotting several other trainers and their pokemon, helping civilians.

But as the pair arrived, they heard thunderous footsteps heading toward their direction.

Soon, they and everyone else saw the cause of said footsteps.

A number of Venipede, Whirlipede, and Scolipede charging right for them.

"What, but I thought it was a Galvantula colony rampaging." Elesa spoke.

"Looks like there rampaging stirred up other pokemon in the forest." Ezra said.

"If they keep charging like that, the civilians and a lot of trainers will be in big trouble." Elesa said.

"Then let's move." Ezra said.

Elesa then gave him a curt nod in reponse.

With that the two of them directed their pokemon and arrived directly in front of the path of the charging Venipede evolution line colony.

The two of them then dismounted their pokemon and proceeded to release their entire teams.

Since they plan to delay the stampeding pokemon, long enough for the civilians to make it out of the area.

"Everyone, stop them in their tracks. Gyarados and Dragonite, use Flamethrower! While Haxorus use Dragon Pulse, and Ladon, use Dragon Breath!" Ezra commanded his entire team.

As soon as he was finished his team unleashed attacks.

Seeing this, Elesa followed Ezra's lead.

"Guys, use a combined Thunder Wave. Paralysis them." Elesa instructed her pokemon.

Giving their trainer a curt nod, the electric-types launched a combined Thunder Wave in the direction of the oncoming stampede of pokemon.

As the attacks from both teams made contact with the stampeding herd, it was thrown into disorder.

Stopping dead in its tracks.

Some of the stampede was paralyzed. Some got burned, and others were blown away bt the powerful dragon-type attacks.

Overall, Elesa and Ezra had accomplished their objective.

"Wow, check those two out!" Another trainer spoke up.

"They are so cool." A civilian said.

"That guy is so cute."

"Oh, such a hot girl."

"Do you think they are a couple?"

"They look so cute together."

Needless to say that both Ezra and Elesa heard many of the comments directed towards them because of their actions. Including the ones about them being a couple and the like.

Which both of them pretended not to hear.

Even though they both got small blushes on their faces due to them.

They are both teenagers after all.

Even if Ezra is older in mind, his body will still react.

Moving on, the two of them and their pokemon worked tirelessly to keep the stampeding pokemon at bay.

Until eventually help arrived in the form of local rangers.

"We'll take over." One of the rangers said.

So with that Ezra and Elesa called their pokemon back to them and then left the area, due to the professional's having arrived.

They then returned to the city, and learned the rampaging Galvantula colony was also successfully stopped.

But the city was still on high alert.

Even so, it looked like the crisis had passed.

(Ezra: POV)

Entering my room at the pokemon center I released a yawn.

After I did so I quickly got ready for bed.

Elesa and I were supposed to leave today. But due to that emergency and all the work we had to do we decided to give it one more day.

Getting into bed I felt satisfied at the work Elesa and I did today.

Though I could've done without the peanut gallery comments.

Especially those saying Elesa and I are a romantic couple.

We've only just met. We're barely friends, only acquaintances really. A couple, please.

Elesa is not that easy. I can just tell. The same applies to me as well Just because a girl has a pretty face doesn't mean I'll go after her.

But that's not to say I would be opposed to being in a romantic relationship with Elesa.

Though again, we've only just met.

The future is fluid, and anything can happen though.

Deciding not to follow that particular line of thought I closed my eyes and immediately fell right to sleep.

Because as I said earlier, today was a long ass day.
