4 Eevee Evolutions PT.2

"First of all, we are at war. Team Cipher developed a non-standard Poké Ball that is taboo in all regions. It's prohibited in all federations, and anyone caught using it is thrown into the highest-security prison."

She took one of the Poké Balls from a special glass and demonstrated it to him. The Poké Ball looked slightly like a Great Ball, with only a few different details that could only be noticed upon closer inspection.

"To defend ourselves against Team Cipher and even recover Pokémon, we use Snag Balls. They serve the same purpose as a regular Poké Ball, but..." Lily hesitated for a moment to continue speaking. She feared that Lucas might judge her wrongly.

"They can capture Pokémon from other trainers," she whispered softly. She also wasn't happy to use such a low method, but it was necessary. Team Cipher abused this type of tool to capture every possible trainer's Pokémon and turn them into Shadow Pokémon.

Lucas remained silent for a moment. He wasn't hypocritical; in times of war, Lucas understood that every available tool had to be used. Besides, she used it to recover Pokémon from trainers who had been killed or robbed, purifying them to their healthy state.

"So, in Orre, we use this type of Poké Ball. We counter Team Cipher the same way they attack us. We purify the Pokémon, and those who want to help our cause or care for someone are released." She calmly explained the whole situation and why they used this Poké Ball.

Since Orre wasn't affiliated with any other region and had no federation or Pokémon League, it was the perfect place for Team Cipher to steal and attack traveling trainers, stealing their Pokémon.

"I brought you here to see if any Pokémon sparks your interest or if any of them like you." Lily opened the door, and they arrived at a reservoir filled with Pokémon. "There's also a place where Pokémon are kept in their Poké Balls.

"See if any of them catch your eye."

Lucas thanked God for being able to use the system, even if he was still an NPC now. It was common

knowledge that Pokémon online NPCs couldn't see or distinguish the exact level of a Pokémon. However, that wasn't a problem for Lucas.

[Pachirisu Lv.49]

[Beedrill Lv. 67]

[Butterfree Lv. 80]

[Nidoking Lv 201]

[Ursaring lv.135]

[Pikachu Lv. 130]

[Medicham Lv.120]

[Gliscor Lv.80]

Lucas walked around for a long time, encountering numerous Pokémon from different regions, and he was even tempted to take the Nidoking. It was strong and powerful, and at a relatively high level.

'Not good...' He quickly dismissed his greed. Nidoking was strong, but at such a high level and already trained by someone, it might become proud and difficult to handle once it realized the level of Lucas's Pokémon, given its species' tendency to be proud.

[Eevee #$@! Lv.39]

One Pokémon caught his attention. Not because of its type, but due to the issue in its description. Lucas loved the Eevee lineage and its evolutions. Some of them were incredibly strong depending on the occasion, and all of them had available mega evolutions. It was the perfect Pokémon depending on his needs.

"I want that one," Lucas trusted his intuition, and Lily followed his hand until she found the Pokémon he was interested in, her face looking a bit strange.

"That... She hesitated for a moment but decided that Lucas should know, as he wanted that Pokémon.

"This Eevee is special." Lily pulled up her sleeve, revealing a watch, and a hologram of data appeared, showing some videos. "This Eevee can evolve into all of its known evolutions." Lily showed numerous videos of the Eevee evolving as it pleased, displaying an incredible ability.

"Is that possible? How?" Lucas was perplexed. He had seen someone on a forum mention that they had seen an Eevee doing the same as the one in front of him. However, it was in an event at the Illusion Tower. The winner obtained this unique Pokémon, and it couldn't be traded. After the owner demonstrated their skills in the league, they disappeared with the Pokémon, and no one ever heard about them again.

"She was used as a guinea pig by Team Cipher. They tried to force her to evolve using various evolution stones, genetic manipulation, and the Shadow transformation. As it's known to all, Eevee has the most malleable genetic DNA after the legendary Mew, allowing it to assume various forms."

Then, she replayed the footage, showing scientists doing whatever they pleased with her. It was as if she were a disposable piece that could be discarded at any moment and replaced.

"I have great respect for this Pokémon. She endured everything the scientists did to her with sheer determination. But at one point, the scientists became so greedy that they decided to go to extremes." The video showed Eevee being locked inside a tube with green liquid surrounding various evolution stones and the induction of shadow power.

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM*

"The video ends here. The laboratory exploded like fireworks. When we invaded the burning laboratory, we managed to retrieve these videos, and by some miracle, this little one survived."

"All the scientists are dead, and somehow, by Arceus' name, this adorable Eevee survived. She doesn't trust humans anymore and barely tolerates me. If you can manage to earn her trust and friendship, you're more than free to try."

Lily pushed the list of Pokémon into his arms. "But take this list and think carefully. If you can't succeed, feel free to choose another one." Lily then turned around and left to attend to her business, leaving Lucas "free" in the reservoir.

Froakie and Charmander had also heard everything that happened to her and felt sorry for her. Before Lucas went to the Eevee, both approached the little one confidently.

And Trapinch still seemed lost, as if his soul had vanished.
