79 The Battle for the Top 2

On the top of the ship was a massive stadium that let everyone who wanted to get another chance get one, which spoiler alert was everyone.

The announcer let the battle start, and a free-for-all began. The entire battle was more of a mosh pit where everyone was battling.

Over at the tables, everyone who was watching was either people who didn't battle or didn't even qualify to join in the battle.

Ash was sitting down alone and had one eye still looking around and another focusing on Pikachu. Overall, nothing special was happening on his side—no weird friends cutting in, no one kidnapping him—and he didn't need to battle; it almost made him want to relax if he didn't know what was happening.

Back with Pikachu, he was moving through the vents, keeping an eye. He was told by Ash that when he was sure no one would be in their rooms, he would get a single, and what better way than a giant stadium where the losers could get redemption?

So he was moving through the vents and taking a glance into each room until he got to the lower deck, where he finally found what he was looking for. Ash had asked Pikachu to see if Team Rocket was on the boat and if they were to find out why.

It was a tall order, but Ash gave him an offer he couldn't refuse: an entire bottle of limited-edition Ketchup. What was different about it? Don't ask him, but he wanted it. So currently he was overhead in the air ducts, doing his best not to be seen.

Looking over everyone, he saw that they were planning to hijack the boat from just the talks from the random grunts. Continuing forward, he saw the man who seemed to be in charge talking with three other people, two of whom he had seen before, and the third was a young man dressed as a DJ.

He couldn't completely hear what they were saying because he was so high up, but he heard some things like, "Johto….Silph….operation Me….radio…Black Ty…," and other things, but Pikachu felt a feeling in his body telling him to get back.

So he ran as fast as he could, and as soon as he hid again, a Golbat appeared. He was looking around until that grunt with the scar on his neck and a fang mark on his cheek yelled up, "Golbat, what are you doing? Get down from there!"

The bat retreated, and Pikachu sighed. Ash, who was also looking over Pikachu, also got relieved since he didn't know if that would have worked. Pikachu decided not to push his luck and decided to run back. It had already been some time since he left, and the battle should be ending by now.

So Pikachu retraced his steps, had another close call with a random Rattata, and got back into his room to finish his food and take a nap.

Back on the sundeck, the battle was indeed over, and the one who won was Misty.

(A/N: OK, so because I didn't want to choreograph that fight, I made a wheel, put every named character who lost, and 1 random guy for the fun of it, and spun it, and the result was Misty.)

Misty had Gyarados beside her and put the white jacket that was too big for her back on as she celebrated.

The announcer spoke up, "And on an outstanding turn of events, the winner of the losers bracket is Misty. What an exciting battle! I would hate to have missed that." The crowd was also roaring in celebration.

"Thank you all for coming, and tomorrow we will have the final three battles of our tournament."

After that, everyone scattered, and Misty walked over with a smug expression and said, "Ha, it looks like I still get the prizes; you can't get rid of me that easily."

Ash yawned and stood up, walked over to Misty, and patted her head. "That's nice anyway. Imma, go feed everyone. Don't wait up." and so he did, as Misty looked stunned for a second about what happened.

When Ash got back to his room, Pikachu was sleeping again. He just picked him up and put him on one of the pillows. Meanwhile, Ash sat on the bed and released everyone to get their food as he thought about what Pikachu saw.

'Of course, they are here; why wouldn't they? Things can never be simple, can they? Well, let's see, from what Pikachu saw, they are going to strike after the awards are given out. I also can't signal from out here so we are on our own.'

Ash looked over to Abra, 'Well it's a good thing we prepared for a situation like this but looking at the S.S. Anne's size it is similar to the Titanic so theoretically it should take 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink, which would be more than enough time to do what I am planning on doing.'

Ash sighed and when everyone finished eating he returned Picked up the Sleeping Pikachu and went out to get Dinner.

(The Next day)

Ash woke up and had his Bag with him holding the sleeping electric mouse. He already had everything ready; he just needed to wait.

He sat down at a table and was joined by Gary, Green, and Otoshi since between them they were all going to be battling. They all already saw the brackets for the battles being

And then the winner of these battles would fight the other one and then the winner would be decided. Not too complicated.

Meanwhile, at the table, they were all making small talk when the announcer spoke up, "Welcome to the final day of this tournament, I hope you are all ready to see the end because this time we have something different to try out, both battles will be taking place at the same time in different fields so that we can get to the main event as soon as possible, I'm sure you've all been waiting so place your bets now and let's make this final battle the best one yet."

(A/N: Tell me how I do. I want to test this out now to see if I can do more things like this later.)

"Well I guess that means that's us then," Ash said getting out of his chair.

"Yep, don't suppose I can convince you to let me win," Green said getting close, "I'll go on a date with you."

"If that didn't work when we were kids it's not going to work now," Ash said, walking over to his side.

Green sighed and walked to her side, meanwhile, Gary and Otoshi were watching them.

Otoshi looked over at Gary and asked, "Is that normal?"

"More than you think," Gary said and walked over to the other stadium, and Otoshi followed for their battle.

When everyone was on their side the announcer spoke up, "Rules are the same as before if all the contestants are ready then you may all begin."

The battle started with everyone throwing out their first Pokemon, Gary sent out Wartortle, and Otoshi as always sent out Marowak. Meanwhile Green sent out Clefairy and Ash sent out Gloom.

"Wartortle Rapid spin,"

"Marowak Focus energy,"

Both Gary and Otoshi commanded at the same time, Wartortle launched himself forward spinning in his shell, meanwhile, Marowak got into a stance and closed his eyes when Wartortle was close he pulled his bone out and blocked the turtle.

On the other side 

"Clefairy use Dazzling Gleam," 

A rainbow-collared light emits from the pink ball and energy is launched aiming at Gloom.

"Protect then Sunny day,"

Gloom makes a barrier that blocks the fairy's move, then he shoots a light into the sky causing a small sun to appear, also activating his ability Chlorophyll.

"Now Growth then Solar beam."

He absorbs the sunlight and then launches a beam of light all in a single motion.

"Oh yeah, Moonblast,"

Clefairy summons a miniature moon and summons energy from it then launches a powerful beam, both beams collide and explode in the middle causing smoke to rise.

Back on Gary

"Hydro Pump"

Wartortle was in the air and launching a powerful beam of water at the ground dinosaur launching him back but he was still on his feet concentrating on something.

"Release"

Marowak released the move he was charging up which was Focus Punch, he ran forward and delivered a powerful blow to Wartortle, not letting him retreat into the shell.

"Now Thunder Punch"

Marowak used his bone and ignited it with electricity as he started running forward, getting ready to combo the turtle.

"As if Substitute then Ice Punch,"

Wartortle seemed to split in two, creating a doll that took the hit and then popped out of existence, meanwhile, Wartortle's fist glowed blue and he used it to hit Marowak's abdomen—sending him flying back and unable to battle.

On the other

Clefairy was being pushed back but kept using Heal Pulse to top himself off so he was never in danger.

"Gloom Leech seed then Strength Sap."

Seeds were shot out of the flower on Gloom's head that latched onto Clefairy, then as Clefairy was distracted he used the seeds to drain Clefairy's strength, which had the added effect of making him more tired, and a bit of healing never hurt anyone.

"Body Slam"

Clefairy jumped into the air aiming to slam Gloom, it hit but it didn't do much due to the lowered Attack and the fact that Gloom is quite bulky, although the 30% paralysis did activate.

"Sludge Bomb to get him off you then Venoshock,"

Gloom shot out multiple brown balls of sludge rapidly hitting the pink ball and activating The poison, then Venoshock got doubled and slammed into the Fairy, Clefairy was about to get up to heal himself, but the poison and leech seed did him in.

Back to the other stadium

Wartortle was getting slammed into a corner by Otoshi's Parasect who had just used a leaf blade.

"Wartortle Ice beam." Gary commanded

"Light Screen." Otoshi quickly responded

A blue beam launched out of the Turtle but the crab set up a clear wall that took most of the damage.

"Now Swords dance and X-Scissor,"

Swords appear around the bug type then it rushes forward with its claws out, and when he reaches the other side his arms are in an X position and Wartortle goes down.

Back to Ash

Green sent out her Nidorina and was currently doing a flying Kick at Gloom.

Gloom didn't have many options since his moves couldn't do that much against a poison type.

"Gloom get back up Mega Drain,"

"Dodge then Ice Beam,"

Small green orbs were sent at the blue Pokemon, she just dodged and sent a blue beam at the flower dealing good damage.

"Gloom if we're going down send them a Goodbye gift stun spore the leech seed,"

Gloom Sent out yellow spores that Nidorina breathed in paralyzing her, and then seeds latched onto her.

But Green just gave a smile back, "Perfect, finish him with Facade,"

Nidorina used a powered-up Facade, glowing orange and moving forward to hit a powerful tackle into the flower sending him out.

Ash returned Gloom and pulled out a second Pokeball, "Welp time to get serious I guess," Then threw out the Pokeball revealed a Giant Shiny Beedrill.

On the other side, Gary released Growlithe, who could deal x4 damage to the Bug-grass type and was currently pushing him back.

"Growlithe now Flamethrower,"

Growlithe shot out bright orange flames at the bug, the only thing that was keeping him up was the light screen from earlier and even that was starting to wear down.

"Reflect then Cross Poison,"

Parasect put up a second screen, and then Parasect's claws glowed purple as he tried to launch himself and slash at the Fire Dog in front of him.

"No, you don't Dodge then Psychic Fangs."

Growlithe jumped behind the charging bug and charged his teeth with purple light, Growlithe jumped forward to bite, the screens reappeared and tried to block the fire dog, but Growlithe was able to break through the screens and bite into the Bug-type.

"Now end this with Flame Charge,"

Growlithe stands up on his hind legs and then slams them into the ground, causing a large cloud of dirt and dust to kick up and cover his body. His body then becomes surrounded by an orb of red and yellow flames and it charges at Parasect. Growlithe then slams into Parasect and his speed was raised.

Parasect however was sent flying out leaving the score.
