143 Grampa Canyon

{The Abra show}

[Welcome back to Are You Courting Death!] Abra said

[I am still hoping for someone to get me out of this] Alakazam said.

[Don't be a ridiculous senior brother, besides how can we go when we're so close to that evil show, Second Chanseys.]

Alakazam just buried his face into his hands as Abra lagged in the most ridiculous way imaginable.

[Fufufu, but anyway for today we have 2 new people for us to talk to, please prepare for..] Abra said as she disappeared.

A moment later she reappeared with Psyduck and Drowzee, [Meet your new junior brothers]

[Wha- where am I and where are my books!] Drowzee yelled out as he looked around.

Psyduck looked around and sighed, [Psyduck gets kidnapped, no one looks for Psyduck, and the first person to find Psyduck is you, just great.]

[Why- why is that one talking like that?] Alakazam said pointing at Psyduck.

Psyduck didn't notice and elbowed Drowzee, [Psyduck thinks he is talking about you.]

Drowzee didn't pay attention he just slouched over, [I just want to read, why can no one leave me alone.]

Alakazam put his arm on the tapir, [Don't worry, you get used to it]

[Well junior brother if you want to read I've been working on something and maybe you can try it out for me!] Abra said as she handed a handwritten packet to Drowzee that was in broked Kantonian

The title of the book was, {My Void Dragon Turtle Divine immortal fist of destxruction ex dues machina attack is invincible}

Drowzee looked at it curiously and reached out for it, until Alakazam grabbed it and teleported it away, [Don't give that brain rot to the poor kid, we don't want him to turn out like you.]

[Bad senior brother, how could you destroy the work I have been cultivating, are you Courting Death!] Abra pouted

[Oh boy, this is going to rot my brain] Alakazam said as he put his hand on his head.

Psyduck and Drowzee were just sitting on the sidelines watching this, Psyduck leaned over to Drowzee, [if we get a head start Psyduck thinks we can escape.]

Abra appeared behind the two and put one arm on each of them, [Don't be silly junior brothers, your senior sister will make sure you're nice and safe.]

They both shakingly looked over at Alakazam who just gave them the You get used to it face

It had been about a day and a half since the gang left Stone Town, and not much happened after that, Ash looked around to see if he could find any stones, specifically Mega or keystones, but there weren't any.

Speaking of which, he had been playing around with the broken Keystone he had, he tried gluing it together, didn't work, he tried using Aura to see what happened, but nothing happened, he even slapped it with his ring, and guess what, nothing happened.

So he gave up with that and would try later, but other than that, he did send Tauros over to Damian with a few crates of specially made Pokeblockes he made himself and instructions on who gets which, Abra made it easy to send it.

But right now they were just walking, it seemed like they had no real destination but Ash already knew where to go, they were going to Grampa Canyon of course.

…What you're asking why, well all in due time.

As the group got to the location they were bombarded by the sounds of heavy machinery, but it wasn't coming from the Canyon but very close by. 

When they got closer they saw a building being built, not like a hotel style more of a research station, it was mainly small buildings and some tents set up with people in archeology gear walking around and putting large hunks of rock onto trucks.

"What is going on here?" Brock asked looking around at everything, he was actually very well versed in the Grampa Canyon, it is the largest deposit of fossils in all of Kanto.

As soon as Brock said that a voice rang out from the top of a truck, "Do my ears deceive me~!"

When they looked up at the direction of the voice a large robust man with closed eyes like Brock jumped down and landed in front of them in a cloud of dust, then in a blink of an eye the man dashed in front and grabbed Brock's hands.

"It is you!" The man opened his eyes revealing star irises, "Brock it has been too long!"

"Wh-Curator, what are you doing here?" Brock asked in astonishment.

Meanwhile from the side Ash, Misty, and Yellow were looking at each other, "Hey you wanna introduce us genius," Misty said with a dry tone

"Oh yes," Brock snapped back to reality, "This is Curator, and before you ask yes that is his name, he works in the Pewter Museum of Science and is the one who gave me Kabutops's fossil and revived it for me. He also kinda raised me for a few years."

Curator pulled Brock into a hug, "Come on Brock you don't have to be so tense with me, we're pretty much family, call me Uncle! But introduce me to your friends~"

"R-right, well these are Ash, Misty, and Yellow, and we've been traveling together for some time," Brock said as he realized something, "Oh right, I finally started my dream to become a Pokemon breeder, I am almost qualified for the competition."

Curator gave a hearty laugh, "Well that's great, but I have to say when I found out your father came back I was a little sad you didn't say goodbye to me."

"W-well you were in Sinnoh I had no way to contact you." Brock tried to defend himself.

Curator just gave another laugh, "Don't worry about it, I'm only joking with you," then he pulled Brock in closer, "But between you and me when I saw your father I almost punched him in the kisser."

Brock gave a forced laugh, "Yeah, well thank goodness you didn't haha."

"Sorry to interrupt," Ash jumped in the middle of the two, "But you ever answered Brock's original question, what are you doing here?"

"Oh right lad, sorry I forgot." Curator said scratching the back of his head, "Well in my time in Sinnoh I made an interesting discovery, a super large Armor Fossil, the biggest in recorded history, so to promote it and bring attention to Museums we were gathering rocks from the Canyon to allow people to dig for fossils and potentially get them revived!"

"Wow that sounds amazing," Yellow clapped.

"I know right!" Curator agreed with Yellow, almost jumping in excitement, "It is Truly the mark of ADVENTURE"

But then Curator cleared his throat, "Yes well, we have been gathering as many as we can and we are going to leave tomorrow, until then the Grampa Canyon will be off limits."

"Oh that's a shame," Ash said, looking over towards the Canyon already plotting something.

"Well enough about that, let's catch up!" Curator said to Brock as he put his arm around him, "Come you can even bring your friends too, we have some spare lodgings for everyone, tell me about your ADVENTURE!"

As Brock was being dragged away by Curator, he looked back at his trends for help, but they all collectively looked away and whistled leaving him to be left alone.

{A few hours later}

It was dark, most of the equipment was turned off as everyone went to sleep, Brock and Ash were in the Boy's cabin and Misty and Yellow stayed in the girls.

At the moment everyone was asleep, everyone except Ash, he waited for everyone to sleep so he could start his plan, he was already dressed in dark clothes that he claimed to be his pajamas and put Pikachu in his place so it looked like he was still there.

As he sneaked out of the cabin he made his way over to the Canyon making sure to avoid anyone working late at night, although there weren't many there were some.

As he got into the center he quickly scanned the area using Aura looking for the shallowest place he could get through, after a moment he found it near the top, he already had Abra out and getting ready to get him inside.

Abra had to take a few moments since traveling through solid objects gives her a bit of trouble, and there was one close call with a random architect who walked past them, but overall everything went smoothly once Abra teleported him in.

As soon as he got inside the place it was obviously really dark, and also cramped, he could solve the first problem with Aura but he was forced to just make his way and crawl through the narrow cave. Abra just left.

After what felt like 30 minutes but was barely 5 he got into a slightly larger section of the cave, immediately this stood out as the place where Ash falls into in the anime, but looking around he didn't see much there were 3 Kabutops, 1 Omastar, and 3 Omanyte, but that wasn't what he was looking for.

Unfortunately, those Pokemon didn't seem to think the same thing as when they locked eyes with him they started approaching him with the full intent of finding out if he was edible or not.

Ash stretched his arms behind his back as he started talking to himself, "Let's see, who do I want to use~"

As he was saying that the extent Pokemon started approaching closer, when they were close enough one of the Kabutops jumped at him with its blades out aiming for Ash, but then a flash of light enveloped the room, temporarily blinding the Prehistoric Pokemon due to their light sensitivity.

As the light dispersed a light from the Flashlight Ash brightly enveloped the room, and their holding Kabutops' blade was Machoke who found a new opponent.

You see since Ash has been focusing on Annihilape more, he has been a little jealous that he wasn't getting as many good fights, when he found out that monkey had [Gazelle Punch] he wanted it too, but just got grumpy when Ash told him it was made for smaller Pokemon to fight larger Pokemon.

With a breath Machoke pulled the fossil Pokemon closer and delivered a headbutt, then in the same moment, he used it as a weapon and threw it towards one of the Omanyte.

Once he was done with that one he gave a malicious smile as he looked towards the rest, he was ready to let out some steam, and that Kabutops wasn't even a warm-up.

Ash put the flashlight down on a nearby rock and left Machoke to do his thing as he started walking deeper into the cave.

As he continued walking he did run into some Kabuto but they ran away immediately. It took a good few moments for Ash to see something, and what it was completely shocked him.

As he walked he saw a source of light, he knew it couldn't be outside since it was night and he was about 3,000 meters down give or take, so it had to be something else and as he approached it it only glowed brighter.

When he reached the opening he was greeted by what looked like a completely different world, there were trees despite there being no sun, and the sky was blue, but on closer inspection, there was clearly a ceiling.

"What in the Jurassic World am I looking at?" Ash mumbled, seeing the scenery around him.

Just by doing a quick head count, there were about 20-30 Pokemon around, but it wasn't just the Kanto-specific fossils like Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, and Omastar. The Hoenn fossils were here too like Anorith, Armaldo, Lileep, and Cradily.

But just as he finished counting he heard a loud screech, and looking above him he saw 3 Aerodactyl flying in the sky, then from behind those three, there was one super big one that flew over even them.

While a normal Aerodactyl is around the size of a Charizard, this big one was at least twice that size.

Ash looked at the giant Pokemon, and smiled, "There you are, don't you worry I'll take you to a better place, just lead me to your nest."
