A few minutes after the first Match started Ash walked closer to the stadium, Green and Gary already went to get a better view above deck, the stadium was more specialized instead of the basic ones from before, this one was made specifically for any tall Pokemon and powerful Ground-type moves like Earthquake on the off chance anyone does have it.

Looking around Ash saw Samurai close by so he walked over next to him, "Sup my dude."

Samurai looked a bit surprised and reached for the handle of his sword before he realized it was Ash so he calmed down, "Greeting Ash, I assume you are here to witness the battle between AJ and Otoshi."

"You would be correct in thinking that, so what are you thinking, do you think that AJ can win?"

"It is a tough decision. I have traveled with AJ so I know his strengths, however, I have seen this Otoshi and he follows the way of the Samurai just as I, in any case, I hope to battle the winner but I can't be certain who will come out victorious."

They continued chatting for a bit when both Otoshi and AJ came up on each side of the stadium as the announcer spoke up again, "Let's get ready for the first battle for the Top 8, who will come out victorious the noble Otoshi or the tough AJ, only one way to find out both contenders send out your Pokemon!"

Otoshi was a young man with a Green kimono-like shirt and sandals, on his hip he had a wooden Bokken that his arm was always resting on, under his kimono, it looked like he wore a shirt made completely out of wrapping.

As soon as the announcer finished talking they both released their first Pokemon, AJ released his Raticate meanwhile Otoshi released Marowak.

"Raticate let's start with a Quick Attack," AJ commanded as his Raticate started speeding towards the bone dinosaur.

"Focus and dodge," Marowak closed his eyes and held his bone in a similar position that Otoshi had with his sword, using Focus energy to concentrate and dodge the incoming attack.

"Leer and prepare yourself," Otoshi commanded and Marowak sent a glare at Raticate making him slightly flinch but he Snapped himself out of it, meanwhile he put his hand on his bone and started slowly drawing it.

"Zen Headbutt!" Raticate started dashing forward with his head glowing white getting ready to collide with Marowak, when he reached Marowak he did one final jump and kicked up some dirt, but when it cleared Marowak held his bone in front of him holding back the rat's head, though he was slightly struggling.

"Now Push him back then bone club," Marowak slid his bone across the Rat's head then with one foot pushed him back so that he could get in a low stance and one dash appeared on the other side of the Raticate, he then put his bone back in nis imaginary sheath and Raticate fell over.

Everyone was stunned seeing the display and were left speechless until AJ returned Raticate and pulled out a second ball, "Well I can at least say you aren't all talk, but this battle isn't over, Sandshrew let's do this!" 

"Very well, I wouldn't have it any other way, Bone Club." Marowak started running forward holding his bone like a katana preparing to slam into Sandshrew.

"Sandshrew Sand Tomb then dodge," Sandshrew picked up some of the sand and dirt around him and conjured a small tornado aiming to trap the Marowak, also making Sand enter his eye, slightly disorienting him enough for Sandshrew to dodge the attack.

"Swift all around," As Marowak's vision was being inhibited by the sand around him, stars started hitting him all around, from the outside Sandshrew was spinning and releasing stars so that Marowak wouldn't get a clear shot at him.

"Marowak I'll be your eyes, Bonemerang to the north-east." Marowak closed his eyes and launched his bone on the first hit he missed but on the way back the bone hit Sandshrew.

"Now Bulldoze"

Both ground types used the move at the same time in the center. The shock waves started greeting small mountains and debris on the field mostly canceling each other but the aftershocks still got to each other dealing damage.

"Let's finish this Fury Swipes,"

"Bone Rush,"

Both the ground pokemon dashed towards each other and started clashing with the claws and the bone, they continued clashing multiple times with powerful strikes, until the next slash Sandshrew was about to do, instead of deflecting it Marowak redirected it letting him hit Sandshrew with the but end of the bone knocking him back and out of the stadium.

The announcer spoke up, "What a blood pomping battle, never have I seen such techniques from a Marowak, and Sandshrew's powerful moves were nothing to scoff at, but in the end, the winner was Otoshi!"

The crowd cheered as Otoshi came up to AJ and thanked him for the battle, AJ did the same and walked down and saw Ash and Samurai so he walked over.

"Well this is just downright embarrassing, and after I promised I would meet one of you in the finals." AJ scratched the back of his head.

"Don't worry about it, you can make up for it in the lower bracket"

The screen from before started randomizing another match and the match that showed was 

Brock Vs Samurai 

"Well I suppose that's me," Samurai said walking over to his side, a few minutes or so later both Brock and 

Samurai stood on their sides with a new field.

The announcer did his thing again, "Sorry for the delay we needed to fix the field, but we will now start with the next battle, both trainers may now release their Pokemon."

Samurai sent out his Pinsir and Brock sent out Kabutops then the announcer signaled for the battle to begin.

"Let's start this with an X-Scissor," Pinsir's mandibles started glowing as he started running towards Kabutops hoping to land some quick slashes.

"Dodge with Aqua jet and get behind," Kabutops got covered in water then at high speeds, he moved around dodging the attack and landing one at the back of the Bug.

"Now Liquidation," Kabutops' claws get covered in water then he sends a barrage of slashes at Pinsir.

"Pinsir Vice grip then Brick break," as Kabutops was slashing into him, Pinsir sent his mandibles and grabbed the fossil and seized as his arm glowed red and he sent a super effective strike sending him out of the claws.

Kabutops got up but it stumbled a bit before getting ready, "Slash."

Kabutops could still move fast and he used that greater speed to get to Pinsir and deliver a critical slash making him also slide back.

Pinsir was stumbling and barely standing but he still stood up getting ready for one final exchange, "Pinsir show them we won't go down that easy Brick Break,"

"Stop them with your scythes then Aqua Cutter."

As Pinsir's red fist collided with the blue blade, the second came in to perform another critical slash, finally making him go down.

Samurai returned Pincer, "I see your battle prowess matches your father, however, I will not give up, Scyther go!" The green mantis appeared brandishing his blade arms and getting ready.

Meanwhile, Kabutops was still tired from the previous battle but he picked himself up and got ready.

"Slash"

Both Pokemon dashed to each other and started colliding with their blades, though Scyther had an advantage as he started getting pushed back.

"Now Scyther toss him into the air with Wing Attack," scythers wings extended as he delivered a weak slash with his wings making Kabutops airborne.

"Now X-Scissor," the blades started glowing green as they delivered a slash into the falling fossil finally knocking him out.

Brock returned Kabutops and prepared his final Pokemon, "I have to say you've impressed me with the level you have trained your Pokemon, but I refuse to give up now, Onix let's do this."

The big rock snake stood imposingly getting ready with the mostly fine Scyther preparing himself.

"Scyther Quick attack," Scyther started the battle by darting toward Onix with great speed, aiming for its weak spots. But the attack didn't even process on Onix.

"Onix Rock tomb then Move in for a Bind," Onix's tail whipped up some rockets surrounding Scyther restricting movements and dealing heavy damage as Onix solid in to trap the bug in a Bind and started squeezing against the struggling bug.

"Scyther Get out of There then Double team," Scyther managed to squeeze out and created clones in the hope of distracting Onix.

"Onix Rock Slide," Onix slammed his tail into the ground then up started a rain of stones hitting all of the clones and the original sending him spiraling into the ground.

"Now let's finish this Dragon breath," Onix got close and sent a bluish flame from his mouth into Scyther making him go down as well.

The Referee called it, "And the victor is Brock of Pewter City, what an exciting match it was back and forth the whole time, let's hear it for our competitors."

As the crowd was cheering Samurai walked up to Brock and gave a respectful bow, Brock was taken aback for a second and also gave one.

Samurai then walked back down to AJ and Ash where Ash comforted him and AJ teased him about not winning like he didn't also lose.

The screen started spoiling again and on the screen, the next match was announced 

Green Vs Jeanette

Ash looked over to talk with the two next to him as he saw AJ blushing looking at the picture of Jeanette, Ash waved his hand over his face but AJ was just gone.

"Wow he has gone full simp, does he do this often?" Ash asked Samurai.

"Yes and no, he has a bad habit of going to flirt with any woman he sees, but it isn't this bad, though I admit this Jeanette is quite attractive," Samurai said, also slightly blushing looking at the approaching girl.

Ash's eyes twitched seeing his two friends get goo goo eyes for a girl they had never seen, over by the stadium the 2 girls stood on opposite sides and prepared.

And by the bottom of the stadium, a group of cheerleaders for Jeanette appeared and started cheering, and somehow Brock found a shirt and flag with her face on it and joined them.

"Let's give it up for the next round two lovely ladies will be battling it out for a spot in the tournament, on one side we have Green, and on the other Jeanette. Let's see what battles these ladies will give us. Now begin."

Jeanette sent out her Beedrill while Green sent Ivysaur.

"Beedrill Poison Jab Attack" Jeanette commanded, taking the first move.

Green smiled, "Ivysaur Vine Whip and grab its arms!" Ivysaur's vines shot out from its bub and grabbed onto the stingers that were coming at it, shooting them into the ground and getting them stuck.

"Oh no Beedrill get out of there."

"How about no, Ivysaur Leech seed,"

3 seeds came out of Ivysaur's bub and each stuck on a separate body part then they sprouted wrapping up Beedrill and beginning to heal Ivysaur. Though Beedrill managed to get out.

"Beedrill don't give up, let's give them a Fury Attack."

"No you don't Ivysaur slide under and Grass knot," As the bee dashed at Ivysaur, it managed to dodge under and on the way sent some vines grabbing the Bug's feet, when it reached the other side Ivysaur pulled on the vines and Beedrill was sent face first into the ground unable to battle.

"Beedrill no.." Jeanette said sadly before returning her bee and looking at Green, "Very well then I shall show you the Pokemon I have trained with since I was a child, Bellsprout go!"

On the field stood a Bellsprout with an Everstone necklace, meanwhile the cheer squad got louder which made Jeanette look a little annoyed but didn't say anything.

She composed herself and got ready, "Bellsprout Quick attack!"

"Alright then Ivysaur Razor leaf,"

Ivysaur sent out multiple leaves but on the way, Bellsprout dodged them by leaning back a full 90 degrees, all of them being close, landing a strike.

For the next few moments, Ivysaur was shooting attacks at the Bellsprout but it continued to dance around and landing chip damage from weak moves.

Green looked for an opportunity then smiled once again, "If all you do is dodge then I won't let you dodge, Magical Leaf"

Ivysaur sent a rainbow leaf out, and Bellsprout dodged it until it turned around and followed the plant to hit it off balance.

"Now end this battle, Sludge Bomb." as the Bellsprout tried to get back up a large purple blob of gunk was shot at it sending it flying out of bounds and unable to battle.

"And the winner is... Green! Despite Bellsprout's incredible evasion skills and Jeanette's elegant tactics Green and Ivysaur's resilience and tactics have made it the victor in this challenging battle!"
