Pokemon Plus

Typical transfer to another world (pokemon world) with a system. Happens after Ash/Gary era, 30+ years after. Does not follow the original story. Has a different take in the pokemon metaverse. He doesn't have a goal in mind, just trying to enjoy the pokemon world. Maybe later in the series. This is my first time writing something so I apologize if it's a bit confusing, English isn't my first language so, I may have a lot of wrong spellings, grammar issues, and something wrong with my tenses or POV. Disclaimer I don't own Pokemon

Chapter 30

Half an hour later, the room lights went dim and the red curtains on the stage had opened. He saw an aged gentleman at the center of the stage, who was wearing a black suit with a white bow tie.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for waiting. We may finally begin the auction!" he greeted.

"Allow me to explain the rules briefly. The increments of the bid should not exceed 10% of the total starting bid and not lower than 5%," he continued, "after the current bid reaches 200% of the starting bid, the minimum bid could not be lower than 10% of the current bid and the maximum bid could exceed 10%, and to no maximum limit at that."

"We have a total of thirty items tonight up for bidding." He announced, "We will open with a feather from the Legendary Moltres!"

The audience was in uproar. A feather from the Legendary Moltres was every fire type pokemon's dream. It would greatly increase their abilities and improve their potential.

According to Mewpedia, the "Ancients" were referred as the original legendary pokemon. They were the very first of their kind and the strongest at the same time. They had godlike powers or closer to it. Each 'Ancient' had a couple of descendants around the world, which were later called as "Legendary." Therefore, the feather came from a descendant.

There were some pokemon trainers in the past that had captured "Legendary" pokemon. Although they were not as strong as their ancestors, they could still level a continent when fully grown. However, it was not mentioned in Mewpedia on how they were born.

I wonder if the "Mew" I met was an "Ancient One". I really hope that one day I would be able to add a Legendary pokemon as a partner, Leon thought.

"The bid will start at 20 million pokedollars! Any takers?" the gentleman started to ask the audience.

"22 million!" a fat man shouted.

"24 million!" a lady raised her hand.

It quickly exceeded 500 million after a few more bids. "659 million! Going once! Going twice! Sold! To the lovely lady wearing red," announced the gentleman.

The audience was in awe because 659 million pokedollars was not a small amount. They wondered if there were any other Legendary treasures in the auction.

"Next up is an S rank corpse of a Metagross! The price will start at 10 million pokedollars," informed the gentleman.

A pokemon could also absorb the residual energy of a deceased pokemon or from any parts of it to increase their potential. Additionally, it could be used to craft gadgets or pokeballs.

The Metagross corpse was sold for 23 million pokedollars. A few items more, then it was Leon's pokemon. His Heracross was sold for 50 million, his Pinsir for 47 million, his three Oddish and two Pidgey were sold for a total of 64 million pokedollars. He gained a total of 161 million pokedollars from the auction. Initially, Leon thought he was rich but now he wasn't so sure anymore because of the selling price of the legendary feather.

The auction continued. Most of the items were treasures at S rank level. Leon had no interest in them since his pokemon were still very far from reaching their maximum potential. The pokemon sold were not to his liking either. The last item on the auction was a pseudo-legendary pokemon, Gible, which was sold for a whopping 787 million pokedollars. Now, Leon felt extremely poor and vowed to farm more money in the future.
