In a hospital room somewhere in America

Eric: My time is almost up. It's actually a relief, since I have spent all eighteen years of my life in bed, to weak to do anything. My only regrets will be that me dying will make my family sad and that I won't be able to watch pokemon anymore. Well maybe they will have internet in heaven so I can watch it there.

???: Boy, I'm sad to see your condition especially since doctors could cure you if people didn't care so much about money, but alas people of this world only care about money and curing diseases like yours would mean they lose alot of money. So how about this when you pass away in a few hours I reincarnate you in the pokemon universe with 2 wishes.

Eric looked around for the voice when he first heard it, but as he heard what the voice said that he could be cured but people wouldn't do it because it would lose them money he was angry but got over it very quickly because there was nothing he could do about it. As he continued listening he got really excited about being able to reincarnate in the pokemon universe.

Eric: Alright mr. voice, even if this is a dream at least I can have a decent one before I die. For my first wish, I wish to be able to understand any pokemon that I catch. For my second wish, I wish for a system that I can buy stuff from to help me train my pokemon and myself.

Mr. Voice?: Haha ok both wishes are doable, but are you sure those are the things you want. you could ask for almost anything?

Eric: Yes, training is a slow process but I can speed it up alittle if I can understand my pokemon and have equipment to help train them and myself. Plus I want to train myself so that I will never be this weak again and how can a trainer ask his pokemon to do something that he himself wouldn't do so I can train along side my pokemon killing two birds with one stone.

Mr. Voice?: Good good. I am one of the many Gods, one of the more powerful ones, and I will grant your wishes. I look forward to watching your adventures as you grow and if you have really interesting adventures maybe some other gods will watch as well. That would be a good thing because for them to watch they must give you something in return. My name is Zepheros, the God of battle, which is different from gods of war as we just enjoy a good battle like how goku does from that dragon ball z manga. Now you only have an hour left before you die so enjoy what time you have with your family before you meet your new one in the pokemon universe.

With that said Zepheros presence leaves and his family comes in. Eric enjoys his family's company for the last time before closing his eyes for the last time.......
