--------------------------------------------------------------------

At 4:30 pm, the Wild Pokémon's ecological tour came to an end. Hu Yang, physically and mentally exhausted from the day's trek, returned to the dormitory after a cafeteria meal. Unbeknownst to him, while he was deep in slumber, a small white silhouette emerged from his backpack.

"Gah?" Cramorant slowly turned its head, its dull gaze locking onto Ralts, nestled on the table.

Startled, Ralts swiftly retreated into the safety of the backpack.

Cramorant tilted its head quizzically.

After a prolonged silence, Ralts cautiously peeked out, nervously surveying the surroundings. Convinced that no immediate threat loomed, it cautiously revealed itself.

Satisfied with the absence of danger, Cramorant settled into its usual spot on the bed and closed its eyes. Ralts breathed a sigh of relief, gently floating out of the backpack with Psychic. It observed the human belongings with an excitement and curiosity that lit up its eyes.

Drifting over to the desk, Ralts reached out, tentatively poking at the lamp's button.

"Pa!"

A click echoed through the room as its tiny hand inadvertently switched on the lamp, flooding the area with light.

Ralts froze in place, vanished with a flash, then reappeared, relieved that its mistake had gone unnoticed.

Returning to the desk, it perched on a pile of books, swinging its legs leisurely and observing the human boy on the bed.

In the dead of night, Hu Yang was roused by a sound.

He opened his eyes to find a Gardevoir in his room, with Ralts bowing its head nearby, seemingly filled with remorse, like a young child scolded by its mother.

Hu Yang was taken aback, feeling somewhat bewildered. Had something occurred that he was unaware of?

The Gardevoir's gaze radiated sternness, prompting Hu Yang to instinctively use his abilities to scrutinize it.

Gardevoir... Ralts...

Weren't these the two he had previously encountered? Hu Yang shifted his attention towards Ralts.

Hu Yang confirmed that this Ralts was indeed the one he had encountered before. Staying still, he couldn't help but notice the overpowering aura emanating from Gardevoir; it was of a level far exceeding the typical Level 10.

Intrigued, Hu Yang realized that this was a father-and-daughter duo, with the Gardevoir being male.

The two shared an unspoken conversation through their minds. After a prolonged exchange, Ralts emitted a forlorn Growl, approaching Gardevoir dejectedly. It glanced despairingly at Hu Yang before both father and daughter vanished from the room.

Hu Yang was left mystified. He had only just fallen asleep, and now he questioned whether he had missed something. Gardevoir's stern demeanor hinted at Ralts having snuck out again. But how had it entered his dormitory? Perhaps it sought to befriend humans, akin to the scenarios in the Pokémon anime.

Such encounters were common in the world of cartoons, but Hu Yang found it surreal that it was happening to him. However, he suspected that even if Ralts wished to befriend him, Gardevoir would not necessarily agree. It was evident that Gardevoir harbored a strong aversion to humans, and he doubted he could win it over. Unless... unless both Pokémon were to befriend him simultaneously.

The notion of having both father and daughter was peculiar. Hu Yang lacked the means to confront Gardevoir at this point, unless he deliberately provoked Cramorant to trigger its automatic protective instincts. Hu Yang felt apologetic but had little time to dwell on it.

The following morning, a horrified realization hit him as he observed Cramorant clutching Pikachu in its beak.

"Let it go!" Hu Yang paled in terror.

But it was too late. Pikachu decided to retaliate precisely at that moment.

"Pika—chu!"

With a resounding cry, a powerful electric current surged forth from Pikachu, filling the room with sparks. Hu Yang felt the numbing sensation ripple through him.

"Ka!"

Cramorant released Pikachu from its grasp, allowing the little Pokémon to squirm free. Pikachu regarded Cramorant warily, its Thunderbolt assault having subsided.

The attack had left Cramorant unharmed, but Hu Yang was in a dazed and bewildered state, perplexed by his peculiar ability to withstand an electric shock.

In reality, most of the electrical impact had been absorbed by Cramorant, sparing Hu Yang from severe harm. Only a minor jolt had affected him.

"Pikachu!"

Exclamations echoed from outside, drawing Pikachu's attention.

"Pika Pika!"

Pikachu's ears perked up, and it swiftly darted out of the open window.

Hu Yang, scorched and bewildered, lay weakly on the floor, muttering, "Don't bring strange things back from outside!"

Cramorant stood frozen, "Gah?"

Hu Yang was at a loss. First, he had dealt with Magikarp, and now Pikachu. He couldn't help but dread what tomorrow might bring.

If he continued allowing Cramorant to roam freely, he might wake up to find a Kyogre in his possession one day.

"Alas..." Hu Yang sighed. It seemed it was high time to restrict Cramorant's time outside of its Poké Ball.
