10 Chapter 9: Exploration (2)

I have to say, it looks so much more stunning than what was shown in the game even if I was only looking in the distance.
Heck, it even feels like I'm looking at a much bigger and more majestic version of Mt. Yōtei in Japan.
"Woah..."
I can't even fathom how high I have to climb or walk just to reach the very tippity top of the mountain.
And just thinking about it makes me tired.
"Ugh..."
Maybe in the future, I will do it but not right now since I still have some important matters that I need to attend to.
Welp, enough dilly-dallying...
"Let's - a - go!"

This was a mistake...
I shouldn't have gone inside the Wayward Cave at all.
"Hah... hah..."
Why you ask?
Well, for starters... I'm currently running away with all of my power and second, there's a very frightening thing behind me.
- Kriiee!
I slightly turned my head behind me and saw a four-winged large bat with red shining eyes, chasing me relentlessly.
[Alpha Crobat Lv.60]
Holy shet...
I cringed at the level of the wild Crobat and not just that, my eyes went wide open when the [Alpha] prefix was added to its name.
Alpha... a goddamn Alpha Pokemon and It had to be a Crobat out of all things.
To be honest, I should have expected this since I'm in a cave, and with it being a bat Pokemon. It's only natural that it would turn this place into its home or territory.
If it weren't for those pesky cliffs blocking the path, I wouldn't even bother going inside this cave at all.
Ah... if only I had a Sneasel or Braviary or any large flying type Pokemons that could carry me...
"Regrets..."
As for what happened to Honedge...
Well, I've put him back in his balls cause there is no way I'm battling a level 60 Crobat, you'll have to be a lunatic to even try defeating one.
Heck, I even tried using Honedge to fight back earlier when it tried to attack us, thinking I could handle it but was instantly slapped in the face.
Not a single move of my Honedge could even scratch or damage the Alpha Crobat at all.
And I immediately bolted away when I saw that, especially when its level popped up in front of me.
That shit almost made me pee my pants...
- Kriiee~
"Hm?"
For some reason, hearing the Alpha Crobat change of tone in its cry...
A sense of foreboding feeling washed over me as warning bells constantly rang in my head, screaming at me to get the hell away from this place immediately.
It was then a familiar system window popped up and made my eyes wide open.
『Air Cutter』
"...!!?"
You have got to be kidding me!?
How the hell am I supposed to dodge that shit when this dickhead of a bat is one giant flying Barney.
- Krieee!!
It was then that I saw the Alpha Pokemon, flap its four wings as multiple slashes of wind released from it and headed toward me at a very frightening speed.
Damn it!!
Is this how I die?!
To a fucking Crobat out of all things!?
And just as the air slashes were about to reach and slice me up...
A tall dark gray furry figure landed in front of me, creating a small dust cloud as it blocked the attacks for me.
"...?!"
What the... is this a Pokemon?
I questioned and squinted my eyes, trying to see through the dust cloud before it finally faded and getting a clear view of the mysterious being.
"Huh...?"
This is... a Hisuian Sneasler?
So, the one who saved me was this Pokemon...
But why, though?
I don't remember having any connection to a Sneasler or anyone with a Sneasler.
Of course, it could have saved me out of pure kindness, and if so...
Then I am eternally grateful to you, good sir or ma'am.
"Hm"
While I was thanking the Sneasler in my head, the sound of an individual walking echoed behind me which got my head instantly turning around as I saw a person in the distance.
And not just any person...
A man dressed in a tattered black trench coat with a scathed hat on top of his head and a dress shirt with the Pearl clan logo on it arrived right beside me.
"Y-You... you are..."
"All aboard! The conductor has arrived!"
"...!"
Holy mother of all trains, it's actually him...
It was then that I saw the man pose and point his right arm at the Alpha Crobat, staring at it with sharp eyes and a serious expression on his face.
I can't believe it...
I felt gobsmacked but it wasn't the pose nor his weird way of talking that shocked me, no... it was the person himself instead.
"There is nothing to worry about anymore, young man. Your safety concerns have come to my attention"
"..."
The man then turned around to smile at me, reassuring me as he continued back to focus on the battle.
But too bad for him, I didn't pay attention to what he just said because I was too focused on fanboying about his appearance.
After all, this man was one of my many favorite characters in the game...
It was the Subway Boss Ingo or in this case... the Warden Ingo of the Pearl Clan and the caretaker of the Noble Pokemon Sneasler.
"Well, this situation just turned interesting"

[3rd POV]
"All aboard, then! Machamp and Gliscor, prepare for departure!"
Warden Ingo shouted as he threw out two pokéballs, summoning both Machoke and Gliscor on the battlefield.
And with three Pokemons in the field — Noble Sneasler, Machamp, and Gliscor...
The Alpha Crobat screeched and slowly backed away, creating distance between its opposing opponent.
It seems that its pride as an Alpha Pokemon prevents it from escaping as it keeps screeching at the three Pokemons, trying to scare them away.
But sadly it failed as not one of the three Pokemons looked scared at all.
In fact, the Noble Sneasler even sneered at its attempt to scare her.
"Machamp, Agile Style: Bulk Up then, follow up with Strong Style: Dual Chop!"
- Maaachamp!
"And Gliscor, Agile Style: Sword Dance and follow with Strong Style: Night Slash!"
- Gliscor~
Both Machamp and Gliscor use their status moves in an instant, strengthening themselves before rushing toward the Alpha Crobat with fierce looks.
- Krieee!!
But the Alpha Crobat reacted by using the move Haze as thin smoke clouds spat out in its mouth, covering both the charging Pokemons and itself.
And with that move, the status changes of both Machamp and Gliscor were eliminated.
But unfortunately for the Alpha Crobat, it didn't matter since both Machamp and Gliscor's attacking moves weren't interrupted as the Crobat was assaulted at both sides.
- KRIEEE!!
The Alpha Crobat cried out in pain from the two heavy hits as it was smashed out of the air and into the ground.
- Kriee...
But it was still conscious as it weakly flapped its wings, bringing it back up in the air.
If it weren't for the Alpha Crobat's timely move of eliminating both Machamp and Gliscor buff status from the haze then, it might have suffered more damage than it was.
- Krieee!!
The Alpha Crobat screeched in wrath at being humiliated by these Pokemons as it let out the move Supersonic, generating odd sound waves out of its body.
And as if luck had finally come, the Alpha Crobat managed to confuse both Pokemons.
"Machamp and Gliscor snapped out of it!"
Warden Ingo yelled out, trying to wake them up in their confused state with his voice but sadly, it didn't work.
And the Alpha Crobat used this moment to attack the two with Quick Attack then followed it up with the move Air Cutter.
- Maaachamp!?
- Gliscor!!
The two Pokemons cried out as the pain from consecutive attacks woke them up from their confused state.
"Gliscor, Quick Attack!"
Hearing Ingo's voice, Gliscor immediately went back to being focused and nodded as it immediately darted rapidly toward the Alpha Crobat.
And as if the Alpha Crobat was feeling challenged, it also used Quick attack to try to intercept Gliscor.
But instead of an expected clash between the two...
The Gliscor shifted aside at the last second, avoiding the Alpha Crobat's Quick attack.
- Krieeee??
"Sand attack!"
Gliscor immediately threw out the handful of sand it grabbed earlier at the Alpha Crobat's eyes which made it let out a shriek from the stinging pain in its eyes.
"Machamp, Seismic Throw now!"
Machamp who was quietly waiting for a chance, heard Ingo and immediately bolted toward the distracted Alpha Crobat.
Without a single resistance, the Machamp managed to grab a hold of the Alpha Crobat as he threw it up in the air, blasting it at the ceiling.
Bam!
"Gliscor, finish it with Thunder Fang"
Gliscor grinned as its fangs produced electric sparks and instantly zoomed toward the falling Alpha Crobat before biting it with its electrifying fangs.
- KRIEEE!!
The Alpha Crobat cried out in agony as its body constantly twitched from the electricity before it rolled its eyes back and fell to the ground.
Crash!
It twitched a few times and tried to get back up before its eyes twirled into a spiral, signifying the end of the battle.
And victory goes to Warden Ingo and his Pokemons.
