21 Gym Leader.

The Pokemon league's agents arrived just in few minutes, the agents are wearing cool-looking vests and and some high-tech glasses like the one Ghetsis was wearing before but it was clear blue and less edgy.

"Mr. Joseph Johnson, I'm Agent Cvd19 the current team leader of Pokemon League Special Agency Viridian city branch." A guy with eye-catching short red hair in african thread hairstyle. The agent offered a handshake.

Joseph nodded at the agent and accepted the handshake. Inside of Joseph's mind he was madly laughing on the coincidence of the guy's codename and hairstyle.

The agents also politely greeted Lorelei then they entered tbe Gym. Joseph signed all of the papers after reading it and found nothing that disadvantaged him in the contract.

The Gym leader's contract he signed is the one that last a year, Joseph will just need renew if he's happy to continue or just end his contract if he's not enjoying the job after a year after he experienced being a Gym leader.

Agent Cvd19 also brought 5 suit cases containing 6 poke balls each case. Those pokemons inside the pokeballs are the available gym pokemons that Joseph can borrow.

The agent gave the lists of pokemons from that 5 cases.

Joseph read the informations, he was surprised that a Swampert is included on the list. The Swampert is an ownerless pokemon that chooses to stay in his pokeball in the memory of his trainer, the guy and his trainer have a tragic story. Swampert's trainer is an agent of Hoenn branch that died during an operation.

'No matter what kind of world it is, death is just chilling in the corner waiting to receive a fragile life.' Joseph thought and continued to read. Most of the pokemons on the list is rescued pokemons that adopted and trained by the League from the poachers and the notorious Team Rocket while the least percentage are pokemons that owned by senior retirees and entrust their partners to the league to find another suitable young agents to take them since those pokemons wants to become stronger instead of joining their trainers resting in their retirement.

'Some pokemons really valued strength instead of friendship this behavior is very human-like.' Joseph chuckled.

Finally after some thoughts he picked the Swampert, Claydol, Krookodile and a Mamoswine. The agents and Lorelei nodded and asked why Joseph leave the two slots vacant.

"I already have the other 2 pokemons since those two are rare in this region." Joseph said.

"Mr. Johnson can you satisfy our curiosity?" Lorelei politely asked.

"A Gabite and a Golurk those two are below elite four and also perfect to complete my team." Joseph mysteriously smiled.

"Those two are really rare in this region and also their region where they originated." Lorelei and the rest nodded.

"Mr. Johnson these are the poke balls of those pokemons." Agent Cvd19 passed the case with 4 poke balls inside of it.

"Thank you." Joseph took the case then the Agent took a copy of the contract and left the Gym.

"You are now an official Gym Leader of Viridian City, congratulations Mr. Joseph." Lorelei said in a warm tone.

"Thank you, I will be sure to let the good seeds pass my gym and make this year's Pokemon League Tournament more exciting." Joseph boasted then he laughed.

The reason he picked those pokemon because they are simply the best hard hitter in the list with ridiculous attacks and Claydol knows Trick Room, Power Trick and Explosion which is the best for this kind of team since they are lacking speed.

"I hope the one who can win this year's Indigo League will become a champion since the title is vacant for so long." Lorelei said.

"Lance seems a good choice to take that title." Joseph nonchalantly said.

"Lance is actually aiming for it after a year or two." Lorelei said. "I also plan to retire being an elite four soon and just become a teacher since that is the job I really love, like you being a shopkeeper Mr. Johnson."

"Haha I wont deny that, being too busy with the things that gives so much pressure on us won't give us happy life but stressful one, oh! But remember our bet before retiring." Joseph joked to lighten the mood.

"The first one or the second?" Lorelei turned her head towards Joseph to take a glance.

"Hehe, Ms. Lorelei any of those choices is fine." Joseph smirked then he also turned his head towards the beautiful red haired lady.

"I came here to challe- eh?" A young girl who entered the gym saw Lorelei and Joseph staring each other with beautiful smiles on their faces.

Joseph and Lorelei turned their heads and saw Verity.

'Veirty... are you trying to cock block me?' Joseph was slightly irritated but he just let it go and continue his chatting like nothing awkward happened.

"Big brother JoJo?! What are you doing here?" Verity hurriedly went to the two then she stared at Lorelei with slight animosity and greeted her. "Hello Ms. Elite Four."

Lorelei secretly glanced at Joseph then she giggled.

"Hello Mr. Johnson's little girlfriend." Lorelei teased the girl.

"You should stay away from Brother JoJo or else I will do my best to win the Indigo League and challenge you to publicly crushed with my Piplup here!" Verity pointed at Lorelei.

"Piipluup!!!" Piplup mimicked his trainer and also pointed his wing to Lorelei.

Lorelei just stared at Verity with amused smile on her face.

"This kid." Joseph shook his head and just sighed.

"Hey old man, didn't we just agreed that you wont call me kid or little girl!" Verity's eyes landed on Joseph with angered expression on her face.

"Okay, I really got it. You shouldn't point at a person older than you like that and be respectful to your big brothers and sisters since we did nothing wrong." Joseph sighed.

"Humph." Verity pouted and realized that she overdid her actions.

"Ms. Lorelei the temporary leader of this gym invited me to take over the position of gym leader and accepted it." Joseph explained to Verity.

"Eh? You're a Gym leader now?" Verity was surprised.

"Why? Let me tell you, your big brother Jojo is actually a tough trainer." Joseph proudly said then he patted the head of Verity.

"I already know that." Verity muttered.

"Eh you know?" Joseph gave Verity a questioning look.

"Ye-Yeah I know! You battled someone before and I saw it." Verity said.

"Oh! Are you sure you are not my stalker?" Joseph teased.

"Shameless." Verity pouted then she slapped the hand of Joseph that patting her head.

"Are you guys sure the two of you aren't brothers and sisters?" Lorelei whose silently watching the interaction of Joseph and Verity suddenly asked.

"Oh come to think of it, we really look like a siblings." Joseph said and stared at Verity.

"No we aren't." Verity also stared at Joseph.
