115 Giant Onix

"Call Dr. White and Dr. Eve here quickly!" One of them shouted.

White and Eve were studying the artifacts when someone suddenly ran in.

"What's the matter?" White asked.

"A temple! We found another temple!" The archeologist gasped out.

"Another temple?" Eve cried out in surprise.

"Yes!"

"Take us there!"

They put down their work, grabbed their bags, and ran out of the tent, following the archeologist.

After clearing the rubble from the excavation site, the two archeologists accidentally uncovered an entrance to a temple. At this time, the other archeologists had gathered at the site, staring at the temple before them in amazement.

A few days ago, they found a similar temple just a few hundred meters away from this place, except that this one was much bigger and looked imposing. There was also a gigantic bell placed above the entrance of the temple.

The archeologists were waiting for White and Eve's arrival. They didn't dare to enter this temple first for fear they would break something valuable.

Suddenly, an intense rumbling sound came from the ground. After that, the ground trembled as a bulge appeared on the ground's surface as if there was something moving underneath.

"Dr. Eve, get out of there!" White shouted after seeing the trail heading toward the temple.

Eve was engrossed in the artifact that she didn't notice what was happening at this moment. Before she realized it, something came out of the ground below and lifted her into the air.

"Ah!"

She screamed in panic as she held onto a tall rock for dear life.

White swallowed hard and took a couple of steps back involuntarily. He finally saw who was causing the commotion just now. It was a giant Onix with a criss-cross scar below its right eye.

"Get out of this place now!" He shouted as he ran away from the giant Onix. Following that, the other archeologists also made a run for it.

Meanwhile, Jiro was hiding behind a large rock. He released his Primeape and said, "Go rescue Dr. Eve. I will try to get its attention, okay?"

"Aah!"

Primeape nodded and quickly climbed the rock wall as quietly as possible.

Roar!

Seeing the archeologist fleeing in all directions made the Onix angrier. It lifted its silvery-shining tail and slammed on the ground, releasing a large shockwave.

A few people who hadn't made it far stumbled as they fell to the ground. Seeing that, Onix lifted its tail again, but this time it slammed its tail on the temple.

Holding the rock tightly to prevent herself from falling, Eve couldn't help but scream after seeing Onix destroying the temple. Even the bell had been knocked away as it rolled down the mountain. The temple was very important to the them.

Unfortunately, she had a more pressing matter to deal with right now. The giant Onix had finally noticed that there was someone on its head.

It then began to bang its head on the wall in an attempt to throw the human off its head.

"Help!" She screamed in fear with tears in her eyes.

Suddenly, a rock hit its head.

Jiro stood in front of the Onix with a few rocks in his hand.

Onix then narrowed its eyes at him. Jiro gulped loudly after seeing the anger within those eyes.

The Onix opened its mouth and roared.

"Jiro! Above you!" White shouted. He saw a large rock forming right above Jiro.

"Now, Primeape!"

After saying that, Jiro immediately leaped to the side as the rock started falling.

At this time, Primeape, who had been lying in ambush, quickly jumped down from the above and landed right on Onix's head. It then carried Eve in its arm and tried to jump off Onix's head.

But before it could, Onix immediately slammed its head to the wall, throwing them into the air.

"Ah!" Eve screamed loudly as she fell in the air. The impact just now caused Primeape to lose its grip on her.

She suddenly found she was floating in the air with Primeape. Looking around, she saw Gardevoir floating in the air with her hand raised. They were then slowly lowered to the ground.

Then, Milotic came into view and fired a hot water stream at Onix.

Onix cried out in pain as the scalding water burned on its skin.

In the meantime, Primeape and Eve, who were saved by Gardevoir, had finally reached the ground safely.

Eve felt her legs going weak and fell over. Primeape then quickly ran to Jiro and hugged his leg.

"You did great, Primeape," Jiro said, rubbing its head.

"Dr. Eve, are you alright?" White ran over and helped Eve up.

"I'm fine," Eve replied shakily.

White blew a sigh of relief at that. He then looked at Hisoka, who had just arrived at the site with his Pokemon. Thankfully, Hisoka managed to arrive on time.

If something really happened to Eve, his career would be over. Her father was Dr. Alden, one of the top archeologists in the world.

"You guys hide first. Leave this to me." Hisoka ordered after jumping off Rhyperior's back.

After the others had run away from the site, Hisoka returned his attention to the Onix. By now, it had already escaped from the Rock Tomb.

Onix bellowed in rage and rushed toward them.

"Rhyperior!" Hisoka waved his hand.

Rhyperior answered Onix's challenge by running into it.

Boom!

Onix swung its tail at Rhyperior, which he blocked with his arm. Then, he knocked it to the ground. In response, Onix rammed its head at him.

The two giant Pokemon continued to clash with each other, exchanging move after move.

After some time, Rhyperior gained the upper hand as it managed to pin Onix on the ground. Then, grabbed its tail, spun around in place, and threw it on the wall.

"Well. Looks like they don't need my help," Bruno said helplessly.

He had just arrived at the excavation site after hearing the loud noises caused by the battle between Onix and Rhyperior.

"Isn't that a Rhyperior?"

He heard that someone in Sinnoh had just released the news about Rhydon's evolution. He didn't expect to see one so soon.

"Can you still hold it, Rhyperior?" Hisoka asked after seeing Onix slowly get up from the rubble.

"Roar!" Rhyperior nodded in reply.

"Good. Let's end this with a Rock Wrecker." Hisoka commanded.

Hearing that, Ryperior raised his arm toward Onix, readying itself for the final attack.

At this time, Gardevoir had returned to his side.

"Did you find out why it is acting like that?" He asked.

"Yes. There is a Pokemon stuck inside its body." Gardevoir replied.

"That's probably the reason the Onix is in a frenzy." He nodded.

When Onix was about to rush toward Rhyperior again, Rhyperior finally launched its strongest move.

The ground shook under Rock Wrecker's force. After the dust had settled, everyone saw that Onix had passed out underneath the rocks.

Seeing that, the archeologists started to come out one by one and walked toward his side.

"Stay where you are! It might wake up at any time!" Hisoka reminded.

The archeologists quickly got back into their hiding place.

At this time, Hisoka and Gardevoir were standing in front of the unconscious Onix, trying to find the Pokemon stuck inside his body.

Gardevoir closed her eyes as she pressed her hands on Onix. Slowly, a Pokemon was being pulled out of Onix's body. Hisoka then grabbed the legs of the Pokemon and pulled them as hard as he could.

Its color was mainly yellow, covered in brown quills, and had a pair of black eyes that were staring at him. It was a Sandslash.

It looked very weak and was covered in bruises. He didn't know how long it had been stuck inside Onix, but it must have been for quite some time because of how skinny it was.

He then took out some Pokeblocks, berries, and water and handed them to Sandslash.

"Sand!"

Sandslash dragged its weak body and slowly ate the food he offered. While it was eating, he also sprayed some potion on its body.

After some time, Sandslash had finally recovered most of its energy. It then went to Hisoka to thank him.

"I think you better get going now. This big guy is going to wake up soon," Hisoka said, pointing toward the unconscious Onix.

Sandslash looked at the unconscious Onix in fear and immediately ran away.

After the battle was over, Hisoka told Rhyperior to take the Onix away from the excavation site before it woke up.

Meanwhile, White, Eve, and the other archeologists immediately began to clear the rubbles from the excavation site again. Unfortunately, the temple had already been destroyed. There was also a bell artifact that had gone missing during the battle.

Onix opened its eyes slowly. It then found three figures standing right in front of it.

It was Hisoka, Gardevoir and Rhyperior.

"You're fully healed now. I already removed the Pokemon stuck inside your body. You better pay more attention in the future," Hisoka said to the giant Onix.

Onix looked at the human gratefully and gave a loud cry in reply.

"Bye!" He waved at the giant Onix and turned around.

Onix watched as Hisoka and his Pokemon walked away. Then, it burrowed into the ground and disappeared from view.
