"I wonder when I will be able to revive Aerodactyl?"

Arthur muttered as he walked on the road to Mount moon.

It had been 30 minutes since he had left Pewter city and he was still thinking about the Old amber that he had luckily gotten his hands on.

He wanted to quickly revive Aerodactyl and capture him, making him one of the integral parts of his team.

He couldn't be blamed too.

Aerodactyl was so strong and rare that he can easily skim through half of the gyms in Kanto just by using him. Aerodactyl even had a rare mega evolution, making it even more valuable.

Arthur can still remember the time when he had seen Lance, the current champion of Kanto, using an Aerodactyl on television. His Aerodactyl had alone defeated the opponent's every Pokemon.

It was a show of complete dominance by the flying rock dinosaur.

'But it would be hard to revive Aerodactyl...'

Arthur frowned thinking about that.

This world's technology was more practical from the anime and games. It was just not possible to revive a Pokemon in an instant by his genetic material.

And even if he visited the lab in Cinnabar island — which was one of the places to revive fossil pokemon in games — it was not like the researchers there would help him out for nothing.

One needs great influence and money to just touch upon the technology that is capable of reviving fossil Pokemon.

This was also the reason why only famous and influential trainers like Lance had an Aerodactyl.

Most trainers would even find it hard to get their hands on a Scyther, much less an Aerodactyl. After all, being a trainer was one of the most challenging jobs and one needed a lifetime of luck to just get their hands on one rare Pokemon.

In that case, Arthur was really lucky.

'Maybe Professor Oak would be able to help me out with this.'

In the end, Arthur can only think of one way to revive Old amber which was Professor Oak who he was rather close to, thanks to working as his assistant.

He decided to immediately call Professor Oak as soon as he reached Cerulean city and put the thoughts of Old amber and Aerodactyl to the back of his mind for now.

He decided to focus more on the road ahead which led straight to Mount moon.

It was going to be another place after Viridian forest where he would do some extensive training. Another goal of his was to look for some fairy types and search for the infamous moon stone.

"I need to at least catch one fairy type or it would be really hard if I needed to fight against dragon Pokemon."

Arthur said as he thought of the pretty, cute and pinky fairy types.

They were the Pokemon type that was introduced just to control the tyranny of the dragon types and Mount moon was the only place in the whole of Kanto where there lived a lot of fairy types.

Especially the Pokemon species that was always shrouded in mystery — Clefairy.

Arthur wanted to catch at least one of them, even if the aptitude is not to his standard. He can just put on resources later to increase the aptitude.

It was a rather small sacrifice if he can get his hands on a Clefairy.

Unfortunately, at this point, Arthur didn't know that the road ahead wouldn't be easy at all. There were more than a few surprises that were waiting for him in the caves of Mount moon.

* * *

In one of the small caves inside Mount moon, there was a cabin.

Two men were talking with each other there. Rather than talking on the same level, one man had his head bowed and was kneeling down while the other looked down on him.

Ronin, who was wearing a black uniform and was kneeling down, looked up to the man in front of him and reported.

"We are still looking into the caves. As there are too many interconnected caves here, it's hard to find the exact location of the Clefairy tribe and the moon stone."

"You are taking too much time."

Ronin involuntarily flinched at the man's cold words. He felt sweat on his back and quickly explained himself in fear of his neck flying at any moment.

"Lord Edgar, let me explain. It's taking too much time cause we are trying to be careful of the trainers and ordinary people passing through Mount moon. There are those fossil hunters too. We can't afford to let them know what we are doing here or it will become too troublesome."

Pokemon hunter Edgar, who was one of the distinguished figures from Team Rocket, smiled at Ronin's behavior.

With dark red hair and a young face, he looked to be in his 20s, but he had already attained significant achievements in his missions. Currently, he was regarded as one of the future executives in Team Rocket.

"I don't want to hear about all that. Just quickly found out the location of the moon stone and captured the Clefairy tribe. If an ordinary person or trainer comes in your way, then just kill."

Edgar said impatiently.

He wasn't a patient person and had to live in the caves for almost a week now. His remaining patience had already run out and Ronin also noticed it.

But there was nothing he could do.

Mount moon was too close to both Pewter and Cerulean city. Both of these cities had their own gym leaders and if they got to know what Team Rocket was trying to do in Mount moon, the alliance would get involved and they would need to withdraw as soon as possible.

He wanted to explain all that to Edgar, but under his intense glare, he could only nod his head.

"I understand. I will order the grunts to quicken the pace of the operation."

"That's good."

Edgar smiled hearing that response.

On the other hand, Ronin just hoped that no trainer would be stupid enough to venture deep inside the caves.
