The Master ball

"We did it!" Touya said happily as he raised both hands.

"Krookodile!" Krookodile said also excited as he proudly adjusted his glasses.

"Hahaha! Even without having your will to the fullest you were able to beat me, I expected nothing less, if at some point you become champion I am sure that Unova will be in good hands" said Drayden still excited and quite satisfied with the performance of Touya.

"I don't know what you'll choose, but someone this strong must have something special so I can only wish you good luck" Drayden said confidently as he put a hand on his chin.

"Thank you very much leader Drayden" Touya said quite grateful with his teaching.

"Well, there is nothing more to say, congratulations I give you the legend medal in addition to my favorite TM, dragon tail" Drayden said in a calm tone as he handed both to Touya.

"You're ready for the league, you just have to cross Route 10 and then Victory road, but be careful, there are very strong pokemon there" Drayden said with an explanatory and warning tone.

"And finally, I want to ask you a favor, help Mirto, he is very strong but before a legendary he is just one more trainer, and although it is a bit selfish I want to tell you that, my pokemon are part of my family too" said Drayden with calm tone and a little worried as he looked at Touya.

"I'll keep it in mind and don't worry, I won't let anything hurt Unova's people or Mirto" Touya said with a small smile as he put away the badge and the TM.

Drayden looked at Touya seriously for a moment and then smiled slightly as well.

"It was a pleasure meeting you young Touya, not as the chosen one but as a person" Drayden said with a calm and satisfied smile as he crossed his arms.

"It was a pleasure to meet you too leader Drayden" Touya said also smiling before leaving the gym.

Drayden watched Touya leave and then said.

"Heh, I'm getting too old for this, the new generations are already overtaking me" Drayden said with a calm and a little nostalgic tone.

Leaving the Opelucid City gym, Touya was surprised to find Professor Encina in front of him.

"Helloooooo!" Professor Encina said with a big smile as usual.

"How have you been Professor Encina?" Touya said a little overwhelmed by the professor's enthusiasm.

"Well I have good news, we have the results of a way to summon Reshiram, but I didn't want to tell you through the Xtransceiver so here I am" Professor Encina said with an excited smile.

"And what is the way to invoke him?" Touya asked surprised and also excited.

"I do not know!" Professor Encina said with an innocent smile making Touya go blank.

"Don't make that face, I'm sure that he will wake up when he recognizes you as someone worthy, although I still don't know the requirements" said Professor Encina a little embarrassed while Touya was still blank.

"Changing the subject, you have already obtained the 8 badges! And most importantly, this trip has made you ask yourself many questions, right? That is the first step to grow as a person" said Professor Encina with an explanatory tone and quite excited.

Touya snapped out of his shock and realized it was true, nodding in approval.

"I have a question Touya, do you regret your trip?" Professor Encina said a little nervous to know the answer.

Touya thought a bit about his whole journey and experiences of his trip and said.

"No, I started my trip because I was bored, then I discovered that there was something I was missing and taught me that it was my own truth, I have not regretted it for a second and I thank you for giving me the opportunity" said Touya with a thoughtful tone and a big grateful smile.

"You don't know how happy your answer makes me! It was a pleasure to give you the opportunity to do all of this" said Professor Encina, much calmer and happier.

"Touya, I want to give you one last gift from my father" said Professor Encina taking out a small purple pokeball with an M in the center and then giving it to Touya.

"It is the definitive pokeball, the Master ball, with it you can capture any pokemon without failure, it is even believed that it can contain a legendary" said Professor Encina with an explanatory and calm tone.

Touya frowned at this and said with a bit of concern and annoyance

"Professor Encina, how many of these pokeballs are there?" Touya said a little annoyed by the existence of said pokeball.

"There is only one in the entire region and it was a gift my father received for being recognized as one of the best pokemon researchers" said Professor Encina with a calm tone and proud of her father.

"Then why did you give it to me?" Touya asked in shock at the rarity and difficulty of getting said pokeball.

"It was my father's idea, and I must admit that there is only one person we are sure will use it well, that's all we can help you with" said Professor Encina, a little sad for not being able to help.

"Keep going Touya no matter what happens, and remember that you will always have our support too" said Professor Encina giving Touya a thumb up excitedly.

Touya seemed a bit touched by her words and just nodded determinedly.

"See you Touya and good luck!" Professor Encina said with her usual emotional tone and then walking away.

Touya took the Master ball and put it in his bag and then went to the pokemon center to rest.

And after curing his pokemon and eating, Touya went to take a look on route 10.

It was late afternoon and the sun was near the horizon, so Touya decided to just take a look for now and then go to the pokemon league tomorrow.

Route 10 was a pretty nice place, with a fairly large river and a lot of wind currents due to being near a mountain.

There were the occasional Sawk and Vullaby, who were an overgrown chicken, all looking pretty strong on their own.

Touya walked until he reached a wood bridge while he thought about everything that happened today.

'The pokemon are also part of my family / if it weren't for the pokemon I wouldn't be here' Touya recalled the words of Iris and Drayden.

'I shouldn't even have the option to make a decision like this, I'm just a slightly stranger person than the rest' Touya thought a bit overwhelmed as he covered his face with the cap.

"Hey Touya!" a familiar voice said causing Touya to stop before passing the bridge.

Turning around, Touya could see Cheren who was walking quickly towards him.

"Ohh, Cheren, have you seen Bel lately?" Touya asked quite curiously and expectantly.

"Now that you mention it I haven't seen or talked to her today" Cheren said with a thoughtful and confused tone as Touya's expectation quickly died.

"But let's get down to business, let's have one last battle before everything" said Cheren with a determined and excited tone.

"Why are you so excited for the battle?" Touya asked a bit surprised by Cheren's excited attitude.

"The battles are the best way to measure the ability of a trainer, it will be a good way to tie our battles and see if we are ready for the league" said Cheren with a serious tone and quite sure.

"If you say that, I suppose there is no reason to refuse" Touya said with a determined and excited smile as well.

"Go ahead Unfezant / You will go first Samurott" said Touya and Cheren throwing a pokeball at the same time.

"I will teach you everything I have learned by studying the tactics and teachings of the trainers in detail" said Cheren adjusting his glasses with confidence.

"We'll see, know-it-all, let's see who is the strongest" Touya said with a big smile excited by the fight just like Samurott.

And so began the fight between both friends and rivals.
